We all have a plan for our lives, a path we see ourselves taking. For Nova Gray, that path was simply to leave the town and the act she had to live behind. Her dream is to study Zoology and finally be who she is and not who she is supposed to be. She doesn't know what happened the summer after freshman year, all she knows is she came home different and is thrown into a whole new world. At first, she thinks she is alone but when a group of new kids move to town, Nova begins to understand who she truly is. Now her life has truly begun, one she can call her own and one she never expected. A new life that will take great courage to enter and conquer.

A New Life

Nova stared at the love of her life as he lay in the hospital bed covered in bandages. His arm was nearly shattered, but the doctor was luckily able to piece the bone back together while he had 4 or 5 breaks along his ribs. The rest of his injuries were simple bites or scratches that just needed to be cleaned. The most worrisome part was the amount of blood he had lost. 


As his mate, her blood would be the most healing to him. Apparently, he had something to do with the mate bond. Nova didn't care why though, she was just happy to help her mate with her blood. When his skin was a healthier color, Doctor Wains stopped the transfusion and put Jay on a normal drip. 


Knowing that Nova wouldn't leave Jay's side, the doctor had also pulled in another bed which allowed Nova to sleep last night with a hand entwined with her sleeping mate's. The doctor had also been sure to check over her, but other than needing some food, water, and therapy, Nova was perfectly healthy.
