Emily, a middle aged woman couldn’t handle her relationship been over with her lover of four year after she saw pictures of him getting married. Filled with pain and rejection, she stayed indoor crying and hoping things will get better but it didn’t when she found out she had been replaced.

After a week of trying of heal from the pain, she decided to give life a second chance when she mysteriously got a job and started noticing some weird activities going on at work.

Harmful Lies

Emily groaned opening her eyes slowly only to see April 


"Get up" April pulled the blanket off her body as she drew the curtain 


"What's wrong with you" she asked Emily 


"Can't I just be alone for a whole day" Emily asked sitting upright, her hand ran through her hair 


"No, you're making me sick, this is the third day you've been in here, and you stink" she said covering her nose 


Emily looked at April, shocked at what she said 


"I know it has always been you house but you of all people should know I'm going through something at the moment and instead of you to be by my side you're here making everything worse" 


"How am I? Derek broke up, why can't you move on" 


"But he's married now, you need to accept the truth, now or never" 


"How would you know when you've never felt loved or ever even loved someone, how would you know when all you do all day is go to work and eat and sleep" Emily yelled as tears welled up in her eyes 


"You can never tell" she whispered blinking repeatedly trying to hold back the tears 


"Oh I can, cause every guy who dates you don't even want you cause your life is miserable, you always complain" 


"Oh yea, my life is miserable but I've gotten a house which I bought with my blood, sweat and tears but you've never bought anything with your blood, sweat or tears only the tears you weep over Derek wishing he'd come back" 


Emily was thrown aback "You are such a bitch" she stood up about to leave the room 


"You can have your house all to yourself" she said 


"Of course I would" April said as she folded her hands together 


"And yes, rot in hell" she left not closing it as she dashed out 


April sat on the grey cushion in the room as she sobbed gently. 


"Bitch I took my apple, go get yours with your blood, sweat and tears" Emily yelled slamming the door before heading out.
