Emma could swear somebody was staring at them. She could feel it with her whole body. But try as she might she could not figure out who it was. She didn’t want to tell Em in case somebody heard her.
“The library isn’t far now. It’s near school,” said Em. “Let’s hope there aren’t a lot of students there at this time”.
Emma nodded. “Is your sister studying at that school?”
Em nodded. “She’s really good at it actually. Better than I’ve ever been”. Emma saw her smile. She really did love her sister.
The women were getting up the street when they suddenly heard a lot of screeching noises behind them. Em turned abruptly to see what was going on. A row of black cars going at great speed just started turning the corner.
“What is …” she started. Then her eyes opened wide, she turned, grabbed Emma by the hand and started running. “It’s them! Black paint. They found us!”
