Aixela's Pov:

I'm here now outside the operating room and winding around while crying. I also continue to pray that nothing bad will happen to him. Because otherwise, I can't forgive myself.

Why does it take so long before the doctor came out? What is going on inside? Is everything okay? I hope there aren't any complications. Officer Dy, forgive me. This is all my fault.

After some time, finally, the door opened. I saw him lying on the bed with wheels while the doctors and nurses push it. I immediately approached him.

"You're still not done crying?" He asked while lying down.

"The operation went well. Fortunately, the wound is not deep. Don't worry. He'll recover quickly," the doctor said. "He is still under the influence of anesthesia, so he might get dizzy if he stands up. His actions and speech might also be delayed or unusual so take care of him."

I nodded repeatedly.

They continued pushing the bed towards the recovery room, and there the two of us were left. In a few moments, he fell asleep immediately. Gradually, I calmed myself down from crying until Officer Yzerman and her other colleagues arrived.

"Officer Dy!" She yelped, but she immediately lowered her voice when she saw Officer Dy sleeping.

"How is he? Why is he still not waking up?"

I took a paper and wrote. [He was awake earlier. He just fell asleep again, and the doctor said the anesthesia still had an effect on him.]

"Don't worry, Officer Yzerman. He'll be fine. You know Officer Dy is strong," Detective Givenchy cheered.

"What just happened? How was he stabbed?" She wept.

"Someone was running amok earlier. According to the investigation, he was under the influence of drugs. So he went out of control. He is currently in the precinct and is under investigation, so don't worry," said the officer earlier.

"Fortunately, his wound was not too deep. Let's let him rest first. Let's just come back tomorrow when he's awake," said Detective Givenchy.

"But how about him? Who will watch over him?" She asked.

[Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on him. I'll let you know once he wakes up. I'll also tell him you visited him.] I showed the letter to her.

He looked at me first before taking a deep breath and agreeing as well. He looked at Officer Dy before finally leaving.

"If you need anything, just message us. I'll be back here later to bring you food," Detective Givenchy said before leaving.

I sat down next to him again and watched him sleep. It seemed really painful to him. I noticed tears dripping from his eyes. I wiped it and stroked his cheek.

"Pa..." He whispered. I stroked his hair, and it seemed to help him settle into tears. I was surprised when he suddenly grabbed my hand. He was still asleep, but he held me tight. I just sat down and gently patted his hand, which also caused me to feel drowsy.

Just a few moments later, I heard a whimper, so I woke up. I saw Officer Dy trying to get up.

"Why? What do you need?" I whispered. "You can't stand up yet."

"Why are you talking?" He uttered.

"We're the only two here. You'll only have a hard time if you'll just read my notes. That's why I'm just whispering," I said. "Go back to bed. I'll just get you something to drink."

I gave him water and helped him drink.

"Ahhh," He groaned and held his side.

"Does it hurt? Do you want me to call a doctor?" I asked. He grabbed my hand to restrain me.

"No, I'm fine," He said. "Why haven't you come home yet?".

"Do you want me to just leave you here, huh?"

"I can take care of myself."

"What can you do? You can't even drink water alone. And how can I leave you here while I'm to blame for why you were stabbed. Why did you even save me?"

"Are you even mad because I saved you?"

"Look at you, you're the one who's there instead of me. You're suffering and hurting because of me. It's all my fault. I'm just giving you problems. Maybe it would be better if I was the only one stabbed."

"If you were the one stabbed, you probably wouldn't have stopped crying," He jested.

"You can still joke with your situation, huh?" I said.

"Oh, why are you still crying? Aren't you tired of crying?" He said when he noticed me sobbing.

"It's my fault. I'm sorry. Forgive me. I'm really sorry."

"Stop it already. It's not your fault. You're not the one who stabbed me, so what are you crying about? You look so ugly while crying," He teased.

"You too," I rebutted.

"Me? When did I cry?"

"Earlier," I replied. "While you were sleeping, you called your dad."

He did not utter a word.

"I-I'm sorry," I murmured.

"My father...." He mumbled. "... he died early".

"Mmm... Your inspector said that to me when we talked. Sorry for not telling you."

"When my mother left us, he was the only one who supported me. Even though he's busy with work, he does everything to get to my school whenever I get an award. He's very proud of me. And I'm also very proud of him. Even when my mother left us, he did not make me feel that anything was missing."

"Are you mad at your mother?"

He looked at me. "She left us because she could not stand Dad's work. Because she was scared and weak. Because she is a coward. She chose to leave her family and live the way she wanted."

"Is that why you hate women? Because of your mother?"

"My father, he died because of a girl. He saved that girl, so he died. He's the only one I have. He's the only one with me but with him, also he, he left me. He sacrificed his life for a weak girl. He died instead of that girl, so tell me, can you blame me? Can you blame me for being cold if because of a woman, my father died? That I am mad with women because my own mother left me?" He started blubbering.

I stood up and hugged him. I was just surprised when he was sound asleep again.
