Surprisingly McGonagall let them through without the detention, so there she was sitting in the defence against the dark arts classroom waiting for their professor to arrive whilst bragging about how perfect she was. Someone would describe her as a narcissist but she was way too cute to get annoyed at. Soon, the professor walked in.
"Ary, be quiet," hissed Lucy, trying not to gain too much attention from the professor but Ary paid no mind to her, continued telling the twins about the time when some boy tried asking her out, keyword tried. Being the teacher's pet she was, lucy pulled on Aurora's hair now fully gaining her attention.
"Did you just touch my perfect hair?" grimaced Aurora, catching the attention of the Professor. He was indeed looking at her with curiosity, an odd lint in his eyes. Loren looked as if she was going to burst out laughing at her twin sister's state.
"I'm sorry okay? And if you haven't noticed the professor's here." hissed Lucy, as quiet as possible, careful not to draw too much attention to herself.
"Quite right, miss Hampton, I've been waiting for someone to notice my presence. Well, I'm Remus Lupin, your new defence against the dark arts teacher... Yes, Aurora?" he stopped upon seeing the girl's hand shooting in the air. Students murmured about her being the teacher's pet, but little did they know that her question would leave half of the class' mouth hanging open.
"Professor is it true that in your fifth year you, along with your mates, turned Dumble's beard purple?" she asked, keeping her face straight while intentionally giggling. The students' mouth was, indeed, hanging wide open. Lupin chuckled, mischievous glint forming in his eyes that was somewhat similar to the one Ary wore on the daily basis.
The subject of the session was the Pixies. Tiny purple creatures that were up to mischief, the reason Aurora took a liking in them. Lupin taught them the spell that immobilised them. They took turns going one on one with the pixies. What nobody noticed was the glances that the Professor kept sneaking Aurora's way.
By the time Lupin's lesson ended, it had become everyone's favourite. Although, before coming out of the classroom, Aurora stated that McGonagall still was the best. While she was skipping through the halls, Remus Lupin was having a hard time holding back the tears that were threatening to fall. Unknown to anybody, the blonde woman was crying freely in heaven, while being soothed down by her red-head friend.
Aurora was having the time of her life. She had a free period. Sitting by the black lake, she was planning a prank with her new best friend. Once again, it wasn't common seeing Gryffindor and Slytherin getting along perfectly, that being the reason for some people giving them an odd look, but they couldn't care less, what mattered was that they were happy.
"You know, Alex, when I first saw our dear old Filch, I imagined him having to change his child's diapers. Like really, I feel bad for anyone who has to call themself Filch's child."
"You really are outta your mind, darlin'" that caused both of them to burst out laughing. They sure had a weird sense of humour. "Holy shit, I forgot to owl mum, telling her that I haven't died yet. Her and her worries"
Puffing, the boy took out a quill and a piece of parchment, then began writing. Ary was watching him while thinking of, guess what, Quidditch. She was thinking, that perhaps she should ask her head of the house to commentate for quidditch matches.
