Halloween was drawing nearer, which meant that Ary's birthday was coming. She didn't have anything planned, maybe pay a visit to the kitchens alongside Alex.

At that moment she was making her way towards McGonagall's office, for the detention. If she was frank, she didn't even know what she did wrong. She just jinxed pug-face because she was being rude to Loren, no big deal. Just as she approached the door she came up with a brilliant idea. Ary knocked at the door. After she heard a faint 'come in' she opened the door widely and walked in with a grin.

"Sit down" stammered McGonagall, without even looking up from her papers.

Aurora cleared her throat and spoke "I protest"

"May I ask you what do you protest?" Asked McGonagall, finally looking up from the parchment.

"I haven't thought through that." shrugged Ary. The older woman just sighed.

"Would you kindly bring this potion to Professor Lupin and then go back to your dorm?"

"So, no detention? I always knew that you loved me." with the on the last wink, Aurora walked out of the room, skipping toward the Defence Against the Dark Arts, commonly known as DADA classroom. Since it was near the curfew she made sure to walk towards Lupin's classroom as slowly as possible, because she had something planned.

Opening the door, she walked in while wearing a huge grin.

"My dearest 'fessor Lupin, it's my greatest pleasure to bring you this potion that Minnie so politely asked me to!" she handed him the vial and turned around, but stopped like she had forgotten something. "By the way, Remmy boy, would you so kindly sign this slip, 'cause you see, curfew has already started and I don't want to be stuck in the detention with filch now, do I?"

Feeling satisfied with herself, she tucked now signed slip into her pocket and walked out of the classroom, towards the Slytherin common room, hoping that Alex would be out too. Making sure to blend in the shadows, just in case, she continued making her way to the dungeons. Turning around the corner she saw the figure approaching her, looking around, Ary proceeded to hide but it was too late.

"Looking for Jones?" he asked. Aurora recognized the voice to be Draco Malfoy's "I just saw him doing homework in the common room. I can tell him to come out if you want?"

Nodding, Aurora waited for her best friend to come out of the portrait hole. She didn't have to wait for long to see the dark-haired boy make his way over her while smirking.

"You still up for tonight?" She asked, only for his smirk to grow wider.

"You know it." With that, both of them linked their arms and began walking towards the black lake.

It was the day that the third years were having their first visit to the Hogsmeade, which meant that it was already the last day of October. Aurora was planning on sneaking out with Alex to the Hog's head, where she knew that the bartender wouldn't hesitate to give them few shots of fire -whisky, but first, she had to see her second favourite professor. So there she was, making her way towards Lupin's office. Since she made him sign her slip to walk around the castle after the curfew, she had been visiting him more often. They seemed to get along well. After a few minutes, she approached the familiar door. Without even bothering to knock, she swung it open.

"Missed me, huh?" she joked, while the professor just rolled his eyes. She was yet to notice the presence of a certain scar-head in the room.

"Good morning to you too, Aurora," he replied sarcastically while making tea for both of his students. "Sugar?"

"Really Remmy boy? I thought you would remember after all this time."

"I don't believe that I've introduced myself, I'm Harry, Harry Potter." started the boy, bringing the attention to himself.

"Well Potter, I'm Aurora Mckinnon, the most perfect person that you'll ever meet in your entire life," she confessed happily while signalling Remus that she wanted two cubes of sugar.

After a nice chit-chat with Remus and Harry, Ary and Alex were strolling through the streets of Hogsmeade. They had taken the one-eyed witch's tunnel that led to the Honeydukes without even getting caught. She imagined what Sophia would say if she heard that Ary had been breaking the rules, but once again, what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her.

"C'mon Alex, we're nearly there!" yelled Ary excitedly whilst dragging her friend towards the pub. Soon they were opening the door to the pub that hade gained the reputation of selling alcohol to underage wizards too. "ABE!"

The pair spent their afternoon in the Hog's head while drinking Merlin knows what. By the six pm they were already in the castle, drunk. The Halloween feast was yet to start. While Aurora was telling every person that she came across including the ghosts and paintings that it was her birthday, Alex was in the boys' bathroom, throwing his life up.
