A Fool!

I am a genius!

This one sentence rendered the entire class speechless, including Mr. Lu.

However, it only lasted for a moment before the class burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! Am I hearing this correctly? A piece of trash is actually proclaiming himself to be a genius?"

"Oh my god, that's not the worst part. The worst part is that that piece of trash doesn't even know he's trash!"

"I know right! It's like a noob player who doesn't even know he's a noob!"

"What a disgrace! How can such a person even be in our school?! He should be expelled!"

Various responses were heard from the class.

Some of them found it hilarious while some were furious upon hearing it but the one thing that they all had in common was that they were looking down on Reo!

Meanwhile, Mr. Lu was stunned into silence.

However, his shock soon disappeared, only to be replaced with rage.

This was the first time he had seen someone being so arrogant at such a young age.

One of the worst students in the history of the school had actually proclaimed himself to be a genius!

This was far above Mr. Lu's tolerance level.

"Reo, I sincerely advise you to not be too conceited with yourself when you have no ability to speak off whatsoever. Arrogance will only lead to one's downfall"

Even Mikasa was looking at Reo in a weird manner.

Reo was mischievous but he had never been a braggart as far as she remembered.

This fella must have hit his head pretty hard to have such a sudden shift in personalities.

Facing the angry and mocking words of his teacher and classmates, Reo still remained calm.

He was someone who had survived for months living on the streets. His mental capacity right now was more than enough to endure the scolding of the entire class without remotely shaking his confidence.

"It's not arrogance that I have, Mr. Lu but confidence. The test questions were just too easy that even I couldn't be bothered to answer them properly"

Bullshit!

This is what the entire class thought.

This fella was spewing bullshit right through his teeth.

Mr. Lu's expression became even more distorted as he heard Reo's words.

He felt that Reo was simply too full of himself.

"Reo, I have been patient with you so far but to think that you would dare to spew such lies. Exam questions being too easy? As if I will ever believe that!"

"Even if I did believe you, why didn't you strive to do better than the rest of your classmates if the questions were so easy then? As a so-called high intelligent person, you should strive to do better than your classmates", Mr. Lu replied through gritted teeth.

When Reo heard Mr. Lu's words, he sighed in resignation and wore a lonely expression.

"In truth, I really wanted to compete with them, Mr. Lu but when I saw their test results, I was just too disappointed. According to my capabilities, no one could even pose as a simple challenge for me"

"But you can't blame them, Mr. Lu. It's not because they're not smart enough, it's because I am too smart instead!"

The students were immediately infuriated by Reo's words.

His words were the same as directly calling them stupid!

"F*ck, this is just too much! I'm going to die from anger"

"This piece of shit actually thinks that he is some big shot! How conceited!"

"I really want to hit him! I really want to beat him up until he calls me grandpa!"

"Daring to insult me?! I will make you regret ever opposing me!"

Mr. Lu on the other hand, was struggling to control his breathing.

A braggart!

And a conceited braggart at that!

This made it all the more worse!

"Good, good, very good!"

"Since you have so much confidence in your math skills, why don't you answer a question right now in front of the entire class?!",Mr. Lu proposed as he was on the verge of entering into rage mode.

Reo however, just sighed in resignation.

"Mr. Lu, the test questions were just too easy. Unless you are able to produce a question of a higher caliber, I will have to refuse answering that question!"

The class was now on the verge of jumping on Reo.

This little bastard had become too conceited!

It was the same as directly slapping them across their faces!

At the same time, Mr. Lu's face had turned bright red from anger as he stared at Reo ferociously.

"You said that you would not answer the question if it's too easy?! Fine!"

"In that case, how about you try answering one of the questions from the Math Olympiad!"

Mr. Lu then put on a vicious sneer on his face as he continued.

"Of course, since you are scared of it being too easy, why don't I increase the level for you!"

"Not only will you be answering a question from the Math Olympiad, it will also be at the middle-school level!"

The entire class took in a breath of cold air especially the smarter students.

They knew what the Math Olympiad was but even for them, it was quite a distance away to reach such a level.

After all, their school was only considered mediocre at best among the hundreds of elementary schools in their province.

To make Reo, the class slacker answer such a question was basically giving him a death sentence.

Mr. Lu then continued on with his speech.

"Of course, in case that is also not enough for you, I will be giving you the question with the highest unanswered rate in the last Math Olympiad!"

"If you are unable to answer this question, I suggest you to never step foot in my class again whenever I am teaching. I don't need such conceited students!"

This was a trap!

A perfectly well laid out trap by Mr. Lu. Not only was he giving Reo a question from the middle school level Math Olympiad, he was even giving him the question with the highest unanswered rate!

He was basically giving Reo a zero percent chance of answering!

Reo however, just stood there motionlessly.

However, he was smiling internally. Mr. Lu had given him exactly what he wanted.

Reo's reputation right now was too stained and the best way to clear it up, even if it was not by much was to show his proficiency in front of the entire class.

"Of course, I have no problems with Mr. Lu's suggestion but I think that it is missing something"

Mr. Lu was now on the verge of giving Reo one big kick to the ass.

Still not enough?!

Did he want to solve the questions that were even unexplainable to Einstein himself?!

'Brag! Just keep on bragging! In the end, I will expose you for all your worthlessness', Mr. Lu thought before replying to Reo.

"Oh? Do you wish to increase the difficulty then?"

Reo shook his head, "No, this much is enough. However, I don't think it's fair if I get kicked out of the class if I lose and not gaining anything in return".

Mr. Lu frowned, "You actually want something in return?!".

This brat was becoming too full of himself to actually dare to bargain with him!

"What's the matter, Mr. Lu? Could it be that Mr. Lu is feeling scared right now?", Reo asked cheekily.

The class felt their vision graying as they nearly fell down from their seats in shock when they heard Reo's words.

Provocation!

This was direct and blatant provocation!

At the same time, one thought echoed through the minds of all the students present.

'Is this fool tired of living?'

That was Mr. Lu AKA The Devil Teacher. Which fool would ever dare of crossing him?

However, today they had unexpectedly encountered such a fool!

At the sides, Mr. Lu was already struggling to control his breathing by now as his face turned from various shades of red to blue and finally dark purple.

He was enraged and he had every right to be.

This pretentious brat didn't seem to know his position right now.

He was a student and he was a teacher!

Respect to one's seniors was one of the most prioritized things in all of Japan yet this brat was openly making fun of him!

Even if they wanted to have a friendly banter, this was going too far in the eyes of Mr. Lu.

They had no rapport whatsoever and yet, this brat had the cheek to say such words.

He had no respect to his seniors whatsoever!

Just the thought of this lowered the already faltering image of Reo in his mind.

Gritting his teeth, Mr. Lu managed to squeeze out some words.

"Then, what do you want?"

Reo smiled when he heard that. His bargaining chance had finally come.

"If I win, I want you to allow me to not pay attention in your class!"
