Tear-stained cheeks, my mascara was now an ugly smudge after being ruined with all the crying I had been doing for the past hour. I could not recognize myself as I looked through the mirror. The more I stared at myself the more the tears. I could hear them in the next room. Their moans enraged me and made me feel like throwing up. I retched but nothing came out. 

Disgust is what I felt.


My life had turned out to be a chaotic mess and I wondered what I had done to deserve all that. I was a good person or so I believed.

I smiled through the pain and thought to myself that everything was going to be okay. I did not believe that myself but I had to tell myself to keep going or I would be stuck in a loop with my past trying to set myself free...

DAWN.

He had been busy managing the family business. He had not thought that it was going to be this hard. He did not even have time to rest.

It was always something after the other. It was like solving one problem and then three more coming up. There were days that he would wake up and feel like sleeping instead of going to the office but it was never a good idea.

It was their legacy and he could not just sit around and watch as it crumbled like dust.

When you grow up you always have a certain mindset. When you're just in your teen's life is just taking a day at a time. There was no rushing. You did not even have to think about tomorrow.

At that point, life was just about survival. Make sure you have something for today because you would think about tomorrow when it is reached. Now life was not all about survival. It was about achieving something and going down in history for doing something.
