Blind Step Part 3

Bright eyed and bushy tailed is the way you could describe Anya she didn't sleep a wink the night before no more like she didn't sleep a wink since the interview, since the last word Mr. Peters had said to her potential he said that that she had potential and that one word was enough to light a fire under her that could last a months time. On the car ride there while gazing out the window Anya had a strange thought [potential for what], what would she be doing there unlike Keke Majestic and the others that followed suit she was actually accepted so what would she do. Did mister Peters think she had the chops to be a great psychic and if she did what could she do, where did her talents lie in.

Anya pondered his question and all the possibilities so much in fact that she forgot that she told Peters that she thought the school was bullshit, the day of the interview but one wouldn't be able to tell she had ever said that but the contentment on her face she was at peace and in her own little world floating on cloud 9 but like all things she was snatched back down to earth, When she heard.

"What the fu... um yo are you sure"

Snapping back to reality Anya looked out the left back seat window to see the abandoned looking trade school building, looking as ugly as it did just a few days ago but unlike her first time here Anya knew what to expect. She knew it and was ready for it you probably never seen someone so happy to see garbage the look in her eyes you would think she was looking at Disney world.

"Yea this is the spot"

She said to the driver cheerfully.

"Thank you"

She quickly grabbed her bag and jumped out the car before the uber driver could get another word out. As the car started to pull away and the exhaust started to dissipate Anya got a full view of the building also the view of it new edition. Standing there next to the entrance was a girl wearing a large baggy hoodie and yoga pants clutching her bag for dear life [was she homeless or was she a student] Anya thought.

"So are you a spiritually gifted"

"What"

Anya said caught off guard by the girls sudden vocalization.

"A spiritually gifted"

The girl said again this time she raised her head pointing at the shabby sign.

"That's what this school is for right"

The girl smirked slightly.

"So which are you psychic, mystic or spiritually gifted"

Her smirk was now a full on grin, at this attempt to try break the ice Anya chuckled and said.

"Not sure really just got accepted a few days ago hopefully it's like a video game and I can choose which class I want to belong to.... I'm leaning towards psychic"

This sent both girls into a shared laughter, after there shared joke the hoodie girl extended her hand and gave her name.

"Hi I'm Rebecca... Rebecca Gonzalez"

Anya mirrored her action.

"And I'm Anya Chesterfield nice to meet you"

"And you as well"

"Sooo"

Anya said

"How did you hear about this school"

"Oh I was looking for answers and I ended up searching them out"

"Answers from a psychic school, were you searching answers for a psychic type problem"

"You.. could say that"

Rebecca said tip toeing past the question.

"So how did you hear about it"

"YouTube"

Anya said matter of factly.

"It seemed interesting plus I was bored and it gave me something to do, never thought I get accepted though"

"Yea this whole thing is a little far fetched if its a scam then I guess it's are own faults"

"Oh for sure"

Another laugh erupted from the two.

"So how long have you been waiting "

"Not long... about 10 minutes before you came I think his still in there setting up"

"Setting up, who"

"ummm I think his name is Peters if you put your ear to the door you can hear someone moving about"

So Anya did just that she bent over cupped her hands over her ears and placed them on the door, she could hear muffled shuffles back in forth if who was making this sound was Mr. Peters  then he was moving with energy and purpose. The sounds seemed to be that of a man on a mission and Anya thought [if this was a scam then he was working as if he believed it] and Anya was hoping that she did to.

Anya and Rebecca made idle chit chat for a view minutes before Joseph Peters opened the door, when he did the two where draw to the man he didn't look like he did on the day of Anya's interview he wasn't wearing his wrinkled suit but he was wearing a black turtle neck and gray khakis. Though his outfit was more comfortable and toned downed he looked more professional.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting "

He said.

"Looks like were all here so lets get class started"

"Wait this is it"

Both Anya and Rebecca said in unison.

"Yep you two are the only students this semester, now hurry up it's cold out here and you got me letting all the heat out"

Peters said this then turned and walked back in with his two new students following close behind. Now if Peters looked different then he did during the interview then so did the room it took place in, don't get it twisted the room was still as ugly as sin it was still that but it was like spraying air freshener on dog crap still smells like shit but with a fruity hint. The room had space heaters connected to extension cords littered all around the room, there was a coat rack next to the door and in the half way decent spot from last time there were three well used reclining seats set up in a triangle pattern with a table in the middle. The table had a full assortment of drinks and snacks, there was even a laptop on the table.

All things considered if one closed there eyes it probably felt like a five star room.

"Wow Mr. Peters you clean up good"

Anya said it truly impressed by the makeover.

"Thanks interior decorating is one of my true passions"

Saying this made him smile.

"You two get comfy I want you to be relaxed so you can absorb all the knowledge you will need"

Like before Peters made his way through the same gaping hole in the wall disappearing into the back.

"Man it sure is toasty in here"

Rebecca said.

"You don't lie but its much better then last time, I'll tell you that"

Anya responded, the two began to remove there warm clothes Anya taking off her jacket and Rebecca removing her hoodie. With the large now gone Anya could get a better look at her she had an average build same as Anya she was a smidge taller but that's not saying much, her hair if she had any was all tucked under a pink beanie she was wearing. At first glance Rebecca Gonzalez looked like an average young woman nothing spectacular about her stuck out well except for the scars, before she noticed Anya saw Rebecca's scars the first was a large burn it seemed on her right arm from her shoulder to her hand it looked as if she was in a gruesome fire. The second was over her left eye the cut was so bad that it went through her eyebrow and by the way it looked the eyebrow hairs hadn't grown back fully.

Anya was curious as any one would be she wanted to know more but didn't want to pry so she hung up her jacket and walked to the recliners before she could be caught gawking. Anya and Rebecca sat in silence quietly sipping and eating the refreshments patiently waiting for there teacher to return and so he did, he returned caring another extension cord with a laptop charger along with it after all his connections and hook ups he started his introductions.

"First I want to congratulate you both on your acceptance into this school, as you both know this will be a 6 month class and since it's only us will be seeing a lot of each other. You two know my name and i'm sure you know each others and with that all out of the way we can hop right into it then"

Peters grabbed a water took his seat and took a long swig before he spoke again.

"Today will talk about what we are and what we are not a brief overview if you will"

The girls remained quiet but both there eyes narrowed perplexed by his comment.

"So lets start with what we are not"

He sat up in his chair intensely looking at both young women and simply said.

"We are not psychics"
