"Who was that guy?" he asked.

"His name's Derik. New friend of mine." I shrugged as we sat on a bench near the pool. 

"What kind of friend?" this time, I looked at him as he stared at the sky.

"Uh, none of your business." I rolled my eyes as I started to get annoyed when he's asking these things.

"I missed you." he muttered.

Until We Meet Again...

"Baby?" A woman's voice echoed making us jump and bumped our foreheads together. I quickly sat far away from him for at least 1 meter away. His new lover came into our view and I can see how she narrowed her eyes at me. "Hey baby. Who is she?" She asked as Ethan stood up and introduced me to her. I almost rolled my eyes when she kept on giving me the up-and-down look. Like that would intimidate me. "I want to go home." She whined, ignoring how Ethan introduced us to each other. 


"I'll leave you guys alone." I smiled and walked out from them. I entered the ballroom once again and saw Derik's relieved face when he saw me. "Hey." I grinned.


"Oh, I see. Did Mr. Loverboy do a chivalry move to you?" he chuckled as he pointed at the blazer around my shoulder. 


"I hate you." I laughed as he did the same.


I woke up with a slight headache since Derik and I challenged ourselves last night. Thank God that I managed to call a driver to drive me home because I sure as hell can't drive when I was in that situation. 


I did my morning routine and got dressed into a light blue jeans matched with my black crop top with my 3-inch black heels. After getting ready, I grabbed my bag and car keys and drove to my café. I arrived 10 minutes later and is greeted by all the staffs that are working for me, which I greeted them back. I went straight to my office and settled my things. I quickly started to do some paper works since payments are coming up and I need to handle it quickly.


"Ms. West?" The manager, Andrew, knocked on my door and I looked at his direction. "Someone's here for you."


"Who?" I asked as I stacked the papers for them to be organized.


 "Oh, please let him in." I smiled. After a moment, Derik came in wearing casual outfit and I was shocked that he's even more good looking with this look. 


"Hello, boss." He winked and leaned on the doorframe. 


"Don't call me that." I laughed and stood up. "Let's have a drink. My treat."  But before we could move, Andrew presented himself again. "Yes?" I asked.


"Mr. Hunter is here, ma'am." He said as he nodded. It's no ones fault that he did not know that we already broke up and Andrew is used on letting Ethan come in. After he announced that he's coming, Derik then came forward and stood beside me, probably sensing that I was a bit uncomfortable. 


Ethan then entered as he saw Derik is also here.


"Hey, Audrey," he smiled. "Derik." he sternly said and nodded towards his direction. The awkward atmosphere started to thicken as I don't know what to do with the situation I am in right now.


"Eat with me." they both spoke up. IN SYNC. I cleared my throat and looked at them both.


"Why don't we eat together?" I smiled and pushed both of them out to come with me downstairs. "Just order anything. My treat." I grinned yet Ethan insisted.


"No, I will." Derick answered back. Let's just say it went back and forth for 3 more rounds, which annoyed me. 


"Geez, guys!" I hissed and glared to both of them. "I will pay, end of conversation." 


The three of us took 2 hours while chatting yet I can still feel the tension. 


"Oh no I have to go, Audrey." Derik said as he gave me a hug and we said our goodbyes. I was quite mad at him for leaving me alone with Ethan, my ex.


"So, uh, what brings you here?" I asked as I gave Ethan a smile.
