Chapter 3:The Sea meets the roses
Deep in the water of remnant. A boy.. no man stood, he stood tense ready to strike. To the other side of the man was a being that was translucent holding the same weapon but he held a more relaxed stance.
"Remember Jaune. Don't fight the movements flow with them" and with that, the ghostly person shot off and stroke downwards on the man named Jaune. He was barely able to react putting the weapon above him in time to intercept the blow but not counting for the force and was sent back.
Before he looks up he felt a warning going off at him to suck and he did just in time when a trident had stab where he was. Jaune pushed himself back to gain some distance and breathing room. Jaune looked up at the shit-eating grin on Neptune's face, but he couldn't stop from grinning as well and propelled forward and did an overhead strike. His training had come to the end of the month and he could happily say that he had enjoyed himself. Neptune had shown him how to connect to the sea, he has also become a father figure for him seeing most father would have taught their children how to fight. Yet here he is being taught by a god. "God if only my family could see me now " he mused.
"You think it's funny Jaune" that cause to look at Neptune face showing that he was a bit tick off. Jaune gulped he had a tendency to daydream and Neptune made a habit of stopping with a simple action
[SMACK!]
Jaune was flung across the ocean floor.
"Do you have to hit me hard on the head" he yelled rubbing the back of his head where he had been hit.
"Yes because unlucky most people I'm trying to fit decades worth of fighting and knowledge into a month," Neptune said before grinning. "Plus I haven't had this much fun in a long time," he said and then charged at Jaune.
Jaune had been shown how to counter with a trident so he lets his body flow with the movement. First came the staff connecting head-on with the three prongs, second he Pushed to his left allowing his opponent to be open, third he take the back end of his trident and swung upward hitting Neptune in the jaw cause him so stumble. Well more like floated away for a couple of seconds.
Jaune breath feeling his muscle scream at him to stop. But he wouldn't, he has finally been giving the chance to be trained and he will take all the advice and chance he can get.
"Good so you are paying attention squirt," Neptune said rubbing his jaw. Jaune eye twitches at the name and decided he couldn't keep back his comeback.
"Oh, really that's funny coming from you old man" immediately Jaune was hit with a killing intent causing him to look up after finally controlling his breathing to see Neptune's eyes glowing.
"Allow me to show you this old man moves then" and with that Neptune threw his trident at Jaune who just barely block only to be hit with a fist made of water that made flew backwards. But was caught by the water around him only to be flung back at Neptune who held his arm back and as soon as Jaune got in range of hitting swung forward hitting Jaune in his (Cough sea shells) which cause him to fall forward.
"Got to say kid your taunting is top tier " Neptune chuckled rotating his shoulder a couple of times. Complete oblivious to Jaune on the ground holding his (sensitive area).
"Did you have to go for there?" Jaune asked in a much higher note than his usual voice. Neptune simply waved him off "Jaune when you get older and find a special someone being hit in the balls is something that happens" he explains to him, but the only Jaune thought about was "Was this what mom did to dad" he though.
After awhile Jaune got up to see Neptune standing straight with a series face. "Jaune I have taught you the basics of the trident know. It's all up to you to figure the rest and remember my other domains will have to be conquered. You must show them the power so they will submit" Jaune nodded understanding his earlier lesson about godhood.
"It also appears for you to reconnect with the surface world" that surprised Jaune as he had not been up there since then. Jaune grimaced accident, he had also learned that he longer needed to eat as the body fed on the energy the sea. "Are you sure I'm ready? "asked Jaune he knew the answer but was sad to see Neptune go.
Neptune looks over and open his arms up and sigh. "Come here already squirt" without any word Shia e latched himself onto him. Neptune smiled sadly."I know you're upset but you have a family out there and possible a lover to" Neptune paused for a couple of seconds and the. Continued "Look I will never be gone," he said pointing at Jaune chest. "I'm here and always will be," he said noticing his hand which cause to Jaune to shake trying to hold his emotion in not noticing the water seemly responding to it lord distress. Neptune saw this "Do not fear the void is where all gods go. And I will finally join my wife" he finished as his body slowly started going but before it could reach his head he said one finally thing "And jaune " which made him look up. "I won't goddamn grandkids or I swear on hades I will bend you over and spank you black and blue " Neptune finished off with a grin seeing jaune face.
It had been 5 minutes since the departure of Neptune and jaune had took the time to go threw his emotion. He had known this would happen as Neptune had taught him about the birth and deaths of gods. That didn't mean it hurt but he also knew that the path he was on was one of hardship as he was still in the early stages of godhood something that still seem to surprised him "I still can't believe I'm becoming a god" he couldn't help but chuckle, he had sounded like a child there but no other words could express his joy. He could become a person that people look up to. A hero but first he needed to *reconnect* as Neptune put it so with that he shot out of the trench to the surface of the water.
Jaune looked up seeing boat coming and going from a small island. It had brought back memories of the accident that caused him to become this at first he wanted revenge but Neptune told him. That was a dark path to go down so instead refocused his emotions and thoughts.
He knew that it had been a month maybe more after his supposed death. He could go home but most likely everybody knew and if he showed up many people would want figure out how he lived and couldn't just say "I was saved by a dying deity" they would think he's nuts. No instead he would lay low and relearn the ways of a mortal. Jaune grimaced realising he had started to talk like Neptune know.
He slowly got close to the surface of the water and waited until no one was around. Once the cost was clear he jumped out of the water and started walk off until he felt chill and looked realising he only had his black jeans. His t-shirt had been covered and torn from the blood and bullet so he threw it away. Quickly looking around he saw a tank top. Grabbing it he Chucked it on and peeked out of the harbour of this to the Main Street. Once no one was looking he quickly walk away and started to look around to see if anything was familiar. He didn't really see any shops that he knew intact all the shops where Mostly just people selling things from their own little markets.
JAUNE POV:
"Mmm this could do for connect" I thought looking around trying to pretend I don't see the way woman looked at me. Neptune had said that my body and mind had matured from a teenager to young adult. At first I didn't know what he meant but as the training went on I realised i looked and acted different. Gone was the scrawny me and oblivious as well now I had muscle that looked like there where carved from marble, I had long hair that was brown at the top and blonde at the tips. At first I didn't understand the look until Neptune told me that I was going to look similar to him. I shook my head know use dwelling on the past time to get a move on. I turned around to go sea to wait for the next day as the sun was setting only to feel something hit my legs.
THIRD POV:
In the middle of the road on the island of patch was a young girl. She had blonde hair tied up into two w ponytails, she has purple eyes, had a yellow dress. Her name was yang and she has dean away she didn't mean to but her mummy looked sad because daddy had went to a special place. Yeah knew about the special place because of her uncle crow he had did it was place her father would enjoy but yang wanted him back. She also knew about how summer wasn't her mummy and her real one was out somewhere plus she summer had ruby that was hers and dads. So she ran to try and find away off patch. Mind you she was only five years old but she was persistent. What she hadn't suspected was to bumped into a man.
"Are you alright child" jaune asked to the little who had ran head first into his legs. To his amused she looked up and pouted at him but he stopped at the tears of her eyes. "Are you hurt" jaune bent down to eye level. Yang shook her head, jaune breathed a sigh of relief "Good now why are you out here at this time" the little looked down started to play with her foot. Jaune saw this and sigh thinking back to his dad and did what his would do when he wouldn't spit something out "Child look at me" jaune said gently pushing yang chin so she would be facing him "Whg are you out here. It is dangerous" he asked again.
Yang looked down at the man gaze. She had seen it before it was the same her dad did when she had done something wrong. She knew she shouldn't tell him but she also felt warmth from him caring so she told him.
Jaune nodded after hearing explaining everything and stood back up and dusted his pants off and held his hand out. "Come yang let's take you back to your mother" he said yang slowly put her hand in his and the two started walking. To many people had witness this smiled because from behind it looked like a father and daughter walking together.
THE ROSE HOUSEHOLD: POV
Summer sat at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in her hand, and a picture of another. It was a picture of yang held in her mother arm before raven and left. Sumer shook her hand knowing she had put it somewhere for both her and yang. She gazed over to her husband Taiyang. She had wanted to go and confront Salem one final time but he said he would go and never came back. She had been devastated and having a two children. It was hard to explain to them. She had put ruby to sleep after her tantrum and when she turned to yang room the window was open. She freaked out and searched around the outside and inside as well but no luck. So she sat her at the kitchen waiting for some sign.
She couldn't handle finding something had happened to yang. As she sat there she heard voice outside the house at first she bothered thinking some parent was taking there child to hunt but she recognises one of the voice. She leap out he chair accidentally fallen but got and ran and flung the door open.
Tears came to her eyes. Right there was yang looking about ruff but there she ran straight at yang and so did yang both meeting each other and crying in there arms.
After what had seemed like hours the two slowly untangled from each other. Summer breath and adopted a glare "Yang what you did what stupid" summer said causing yang to look down. "I know mum" yang said causing her to sigh. She couldn't stay mad at her daughter "But I met a really cool person" her daughter said, her eyes started shine as she stated talking "He started telling me cool thing while he took me home " at that summer looked realising someone else had been standing there watching this. Although she was still grieving that didn't mean she couldn't stop the slight blush. The man ha fling hair, with a body that men could be jealous of, but her favourite thing was his they seemed to glow with his green and blue eyes that swirled like the sea.
Summer coughed a little and stood up straight "I'm sorry there for the little outburst my name is summer" she motioned downwards "And you have met yang" to which yang blushed "Mum he already knows that" yang whined causing both her and the man chuckled at that.
"It's is good to meet you summer. My name is Jaune arcane" he said putting his had out for shake. Summer try to shake off the way his voices sent shiver down her spine "Stop you have a husband " she though but she knew that if she kept thinking that way it wouldn't end well but she wouldn't date for a while. She shook his hand and smiled "Would you like to come in it seems to dark to go back to where you live" summer offered seeing it as way to back jaune for getting yang back.
"Are you sure" he asked feeling it would invade the family privacy. Summer put a bit of a glare with her smile "I said you could stay" and with that jaune nodded scared of the woman wraith.
While the three walked in and summer went to go check on ruby. Yang turned to jaune who sat on the coach near the fire place. She fidgeted wanting to know more tales of his land he came from but she liked to be held a way but it seemed a bit close.
Jaune looked over seeing yang glance at him a couple of times and fidgeted a little bit "Yang if you have something to say don't be afraid" jaune put on his most softest tone possibly. At that yang scooted over and quietly asked " would be able to sit on your lap so you could tell one of the stories when we where walking". Jaune looked at yang and smiled and opened his arms up which immediately yang dived into and snuggled up.
"What kind of story do you want to know" jaune asked. Yang faced scrunched up making jaune chuckle at her. Finally she decided " is there a tale about twins " at that jaune thought back to his lesson with Neptune after all he had practically framed all knowledge of Greek mythology in his head. After awhile he got one "How about the story of the twin archers. Apollo and Artemis" he asked to which yang nodded and so he started off.
After summer had went to ruby room and checked make sure she was asleep and cleans the other room i case the guest come and see them she started not head downstairs but stop hearing a giggle and weird noises. She turned to the corner and to hold back a laugh there was the jaune telling yang a story doing impression with it making yang burst out laughing. Summer couldn't stop the smile coming to her face it had been awhile since she laughed after the accident with tai yang but she was happy.
"I think it's time to go bed yang" said summer which made yang squeal causing both jaune and summer laughs. Yang pouted "It's not funny" she angrily stomped her foot on the ground causing summer to chuckle and jaune to smile "Yes it is. But it time for bed go" Summer said and yang shook her head. At that summer glared and yang frozen seeing that glared the same one jaune used on her and ran up the stairs but not before shutting on her way" Night mum, night jaune " both adults chuckled.
Jaune looked around trying to think of a way to break the silence. After looking at side he looked to summer "Well it appears it time to go home" jaune said getting off the chair he sat and started moving to the door.
Just as he made it to the door a hand grab his shoulder which caused him to turn around. Summer had grab him by the shoulder which made him face her completely not wanting to be a bad guest.
"Nonsense it dark know and I won't have you going into the dark. You should stay over it's the least I could do for you helping yang home" summer said.
Jaune looked at her and shook his head "Really I don't minds plus I would be intruding in your home" jaune explained hoping he got his point across. Apparently not as summer eyes seemed to become tight.
"I don't think you understand jaune. I wasn't asking you, I was telling you" summer said cheerfully whilst she started to squeeze jaune shoulder.
Jaune started to buckle at the pain. Sure he was half god but he remembers something his father used to say

Jaune sat in the kitchen waiting for his parents to come out of there room. He had came home from school to see his parents arguing, after a awhile his dad said something cause his mum to go blank. After awhile she grab his father and dragged him to the room. After a awhile his father came out sporting a black eye. He instantly sat next to jaune while watching his mother go from a blank face to cheerful. His father looked at him. "Jaune listen to me well" jaune nodded showing his attention.
His father looked him in the eyes and said "Never argue with women. Otherwise you best be ready to run" his father finished off quickly when his mum looked at him with the corner of her eye.

Jaune quickly nodded his head. After he did that summer faced broke in a smile. "Good let me go get the blankets for the coach" she said walking up the steps with a hum and a light skip to her steps. Jaune shiver realising why his father was scared of his mother.
Jaune grimaced thinking about his family. He knew he couldn't go back to them and he couldn't even use his real name, when he first met the rose household he forgot about a name so he just added arcane to the end of arc. He sigh he had got through the hard part of making his new identity, and also getting acquainted with some of the people here.
Jaune looked around seeing pictures of summer and yang and supposedly Ruby as yang had told him about her on there way to take her home. He could feel his longing for a family. After receiving his godhood his body had matured to the age of a 25 year old and at that age he experienced the yearning for a child and someone to love. But he also knew that came with problems of him being a god. What if they turn there backs on him, or they use him for his powers. So many things could go wrong.
"I'm back, are you alright jaune" summer said which cause jaune to snap out of his trance and look at summer me shakes his head.
"yes summer I'm fine just thinking " jaune said he could worry about that once he gains a normal life. Well as normal as could be.
Summer nodded and place the quilts on the coach and started turning off the the light and putting out the fire. "Well if you need anything my bedroom room the last one" summer finished off and head upstairs.
Jaune was about to started do you the coach to sleep when he heard his name. "Night jaune" summer whisper-shouted downstairs.
Jaune smiled and lied down while closing his eyes "Goodnight summer" jaune said.
Botha didn't know that they where smiling whiling thinking the same thing. "I could enjoy this"

Hey hopes you enjoyed this chapter. First off if you didn't notice I placed jaune before the start of the series. Second if you hadn't notice already the pairing is jaune/summer (Jaune is only two year younger than summer) I don't what age summer is so I'm guessing. I decide to take a approach I'm of instead do summer being dead or her being alive with taiyang. What if instead of summer going after Salem taiyang instead.
I'm gonna be honest here. At this point this is a far as I have got to thinking about the future of this story. I didn't think so people would view this story and I'm very grateful seeing as I have no idea how to write story but I will try my best.
I would really appreciate the help of being by leaving comments any tips would be nice.
Sorry for the delay of this chapter I kinda got carried away with a new way of doing the characters speaking so it's extra long sorry if it got a bit boring.
AnywY I'm rambling I hope to see more enjoy this story enjoy :)
