Chapter 4: The storm of emotions

This chapter will be in the a bit more into the future but not by much. Yang will be 7 and ruby will be 5. The next two chapter wil be in this timeline and then after that it will be the starting of the plot

In the small island of patch stood a house. In said house stood jaune at kitchen making breakfast. He had decided on making pancakes with chocolate syrup seeing as the people living here have a sugar tooth. He hummedwhile mixing the batter, it had been an interesting two years, first he had meet summer yang and the final member ruby, after that he had planned to stay one night but things didn't plan out and he now sleeps in the guest room and all he as to do is some chores around the house.

He had been quick to bond with the family although has been a two major problems that have caused him to been in a dilemma. The first one is summer just the name causes Jaune to stop what he's doing. He had seen how tired summer was he knew why after yang had told, so he helped her grieve and after the a year of going to see somebody she had moved on and became a stable single mother, but after that jaune had realised that summer would occasionally glance at him when wasn't looking. At first he though something was wrong but but to his surprised his divine sense started to pick emotion that cause him to freeze up . He had felt longing,hope,determination.

At first he was confused until he connect the emotions to the glances and summer emotions. At first he was shocked but to say wasn't happy was an understatement as he had grown feelings for summer but stop them as she was still grieving. The the only things that stopped from confessing was one he had no idea how relationships worked as his sister would always chase away girls, another problem is his godhood. God he had felt awful lying about himself and his abilities he said that he possessed a water semblance and that came from a a far away town which is why he knows so many stories. Truth be told he didn't lie because he is the reincarnation of a god but still he felt awful.

Jaune looked down realising the batter was ready and sprayed the pan sure the pancakes didn't stick to the pan after that he poured the batter in and started to cook them. His mind wonder to the last one which had happened a couple night ago that had caused him to nearly faint

FLASHBACK:

At night 4 four people where seen in the kitchen. Two little girls sat at the table one speaking a woman while the other spoke to a man this of course was Jaune,summer,Yang,Ruby. Jaune had said he would cook tonight and summer offered her help to which he said yes.

Right now Jane and summer where doing the dishes cleaning up. summer was telling yang to head upstairs and have a bath so she can soften up her hair so summer could comb it. Meanwhile ruby was listening to one of jaune stories she of course loved being a five year old.

Eventually yang went up leaving jaune , summer , Ruby everyone one had settled down and enjoyed the silence but eventually jaune checked his watch he had bought and looked at the time. He looked over to summer who caught the tap of his watch to which summer nodded and turned to ruby with a smile.

"Ruby honey, it's time to go to bed" summer said hoping that ruby wouldn't fuss about any thing and would go to bed with not problems. Although it's appear it won't becaus ruby face scrunched which meant she was thinking after a couple of seconds she looked at her mum and started to do puppy dog eyes and her bottom lip started to shake.

"but mummy I want a story told" ruby whined. Summer sighed she had wished Jaune hadn't told her about his story as summer know ruby loves them a bit to much, she looked over to Juana who was trying hold back laugh at the face summer made to ruby puppy do eyes but stopped seeing summer playful glare. Summer smirked knowing her affect on Jaune and turned back to ruby and nodded. "Alright then, go ahead and get dressed into your jammies and tuck yourself in. Jaune won't be long " summer said.

Jaune look over at ruby and nodded showing the girl he was happy "Listen to your mother ruby and I will tell you the story of twin archers" Jaune said knowing he would get a reaction because he had just said Ruby and yang favourite story.

Ruby bounced off her chair and ran upstairs but not before shouting down stairs "Don't be long dad".

Jaune froze and span so fast he could have snapped his neck and looked up at summer seeing her reaction as well. He also heard ruby sharp intake of breath before she full on sprinted into her room.

Jaune placed the plate on the table he had in his hands and sigh. He had already been ready for that but just hearing made his chest feel warm and fuzzy.

Summer had similar reaction but less intense she had seen the way the girls had got comfortable with jaune after all he was as caring as summer so she wasn't surprised but she also did how to feel as well at seeing jaune reaction so she ask.

"Jaune" she said placing down the cloth she had and walked over to him. "Is everything alright" she knew the way his face was that he thinking of an answer.

Jaune took sometime thinking about this he had reminded himself constantly that he wasn't there father and could ever be but once ruby had made realise he had dotted spoiled and cherished the moments with both Ruby and yang. His faced broke into a grin which summer saw and breathed a sigh of relief.

"I take it your okay with that" summer ask him. She knew he would probably be happy becoming the girls father as he adored them but she wanted to make sure that he was ready for father hood especially girls.

"I had seen it coming as was ready the moment I felt a connection to the two" jaune said he was over the moon now but one problem still remained.

"Summer" summer out her full attention on him hearing his voice become deeper. Jaune seeing this started to speak "After figuring the relationship with the girls I wanted to speak about us" after he finished summer stiffened up and her mouth open and closed like a fish.

Jaune continued speaking "I have seen the way you have been looking at me and I want to express the same" jaune after saying realising summer was still stiff. He sigh and said one thing final before going upstairs to ruby room. "I will give you a couple of days think and don't worry I won't be mad what choice you make" Jaune finished giving her a smile ensuring her that he would have her full support.

Jaune slowly went up the stairs he had been thinking about the memories he made here from the incident of ruby stealing if cookies, to yang trying to braid his hair, etc. He has been given so many blessing. At first he thought about hiding his power for himself to make him a hero, but know his new abilities are to protect his family. Family it leaves a warm feeling that brings a smile to his face.

"Ruby you still awake" jaune spoke quietly whilst knowing on the door softly as to not wake yang. After a bit a of little grunts and shuffling the door slowly moved open and two silver orbs popped out and looked up at him.

"Yeah I'm a awake" ruby said rubbing her eyes and shaking her head. Obviously due her waking up and wanting the story read to her. Jaune seeing this shakes his head and opens the door a more to get in and gently tap ruby back and points her bed. Ruby seeing this runs at her bed but mid run trips on her foot which cause her to let out a sqeal. Jaune seeing the quickly run over grab her by the neck of her t-shirt and rested her her head on the nook of his neck. Ruby immediately shuffled a bit and wrap her legs around his chest as she was tiny .

"Jaune can you read me the story like this" ruby whisper to which jaune nodded and started to speak softly telling the tale of the two archers of there climb to godhood. After jaune finished explaining the domains of the twins he heard quiet snores which made him smile and walk back to her bed and l place her in it and tuck her in. He started to get up when a little hand grab his hand. He looked back at ruby to see her looking at him with an emotion he saw so much "HOPEl" ruby stared at him and quietly asked him "Jaune " ruby spoke slowly. Jaune nodded at her and squeezed her hand softly to which she returned the gesture after a couple of seconds she breath out and I and then spoke so fast that must couldn't understand but thanks to jaune god hearing he could "Canicallyoumydad" jaune slowly lifted his hand and patted Ruby hair and kiss her forehead and whisper back to her "Of course and will you be my daughter" jaune bowed his head earring a mix between a mix of a giggle and squeal.

Jaune look after at the nightstand seeing a weapon clock which read 22.16 he got up and starts to go to the door before turning to ruby who had closed her eyes as was drifting to sleep he shook his head and grab the door handle, opened it and closed but not before hearing "Night dad" he paused and returned with " Night my little Pearl" he spoke heading to his room and heading to bed.

Ruby smiled hearing that she had been confused as why jaune started using nicknames for her and yang. She and yang been called a pear which was something made in clam in the water which was said to be beautiful . She was happy to have a dad now she wondered when mum would stop ogling dad when he wasn't looking whatever ogling meant. Uncle qrow had said it and meant looking at someone.

That night all members sleeping in the household word a smile in there sleep.

Jaune stood at the docks to where he had first came to patch. He looked down at himself and while he didn't see any physical improvements, emotionally he gained what Neptune had called an anchor. A thing that allowed him to call on his powers, his was the power to keep his family safe.

Who lost in thought he felt the sea breeze past him acknowledge the person that stood next him but he didn't turn as he felt the aura around him.

"It seems you come a long journey Jaune" Neptune said facing the same of jaune and was the endless sea. Jaune hearing that replied with "Indeed I have. And it's been the best days since the i failed the intuition" he spoke.

"Then it appears it's time to discuss things why I'm here" Neptune said turning to acknowledge jaune and he did the same. Neptune seeing this started speaking "It's time for your for you start your journey. You have reach the bottle cap of power to hold in your demigod body but you need more room for the other domains " Neptune said.

Jaune was confused "I though you said last time I wouldn't see you again" because he didn't why he was here. Neptune sigh and replied with "Yes but that doesn't mean I can't strike little deals with Lady chaos. Anyway other issues after your proper start of godhood " Neptune grinned "My future daughter-in-law, and grandchildren " Neptune said which jaune froze. He had not told his new family about his race and duties Neptune seeing this shook his head "I'm not surprised you haven't told them but you have to otherwise the future queen and princess of Atlantis will have no idea how to rule beside the king" at that jaune eyes widened. Truth be told he knew about his immortality and tried to not think about it how eventually they would die and he would stay young.

Jaune opened his mouth but Neptune continued speaking "After you announce summer as your wife and you also adopted ruby and yang as your daughters they will be immortal until they reach the age of 25 and will be stop ageing " Neptune stated.

Jaune looked down ingestion all the informations he has been told. After awhile he looked up at Neptune "It's guess it gonna be a lot more complicated later on " jaune said dreading the thoughts of teeing his family. Neptune smiled with pity.

"Nothing ever comes Jaune it is how life works. To gain something you must work hard" Neptune said putting a hand on shoulder and squeezing it. "Now you have a family who are going to wake up any minute I suggest you get familiar with your body and prepare for the hardships" jaune could feel himself defleat he was worried about his family.

"But through these hardship always think about the one that you love and with that you will be a raging sea that no one will stop" Neptune finished slowly fading into vapour. Leaving jaune to go through his thoughts and emotions.

Jaune stood making breakfast after waking up early and having a surprise encounter with Neptune he decided to make the family official.

He decided to make a. Easy breakfast because there was one person he wanted break the news to and was probably the most stubborn. Jaune stop to go upstairs when he heard heavy footsteps he grinned "Speak of the devil and she shall arrive" he thought. As there was only two people in the house who had them seeing as both summer and ruby where both "petite" so yang was the only other than him as she has been training which caused her to have some muscle a be little.

He turned to greet the her.

"Good morning Pearl" jaune said to yang to which she smiled and said a quiet hello back and sat down at the table waiting for breakfast. Jaune knew this was the time to discuss his relationship with yang.

"Yang" jaune said which yang immediately sat hearing. She only heard jaune call her that when she is in trouble. "You know that I love you like a daughter" jaune had started with a strong voice but it cracked at the end. Yang also heard and started to tear and snot up a bit but she nodded.

Jaune seeing this allowed his ego deflate and allowed the water gates flood and scooped yang in his and whisper to her "Will you allow me to be your dad, to be the one to scold you about boys, to watch you and your sister go to highs hill and all, and watch you my little Pearl become a shiny little beacon" jaune finished barely speaking but he felt yang nod and shout a little to loud. "I would like that dad" and with that yang full outburst in tears along with jaune he held yang with as much passions and love he could muster.

He felt two different pairs of arms around him and yang and looked only seeing both summer and ruby crying but not of sadness but of hope. Hope of a family that had been broken, that could now repair and become hole again they'd spent a couple minutes like this.

Eventually everyone calmed down enough to settle down and have breakfast. After having there breakfast they headed to vale to an place that could change the name of a person.

Jaune sat there holding hand with summer and yang while ruby sat in his lap tinkering with his pendant that hangs from his neck, in front them was a women who pass over a bit paper. It showed his name and yang and ruby but here last name where blanked out "Please but in the surname for yourself and step-daughters" the women sated and then left to leave the.

Jaune immediately put down rose for bothe him and ruby and went to put in for yang when she grab his hand. He stop and looked concern thinking that yang didn't want this but he was suprised to find her speak and ask "Could I possibly take your surname" jaune smiled and nodded.

He went o the women and gave and after everything was confirmed and him,summer,ruby,yang walked out there with there new names. He was know known as jaune rose Arcane or mr-rose. Summer was still the same.

Ruby was rose arcane and yang was known as yang Arcane rose. Everything left with a smile and headed home.

Thank you for the support I never expected this little story to gain so much views. Sorry if the chapter felt rushed I had some issues come and I wanted this out so I sped it up a little bit. I've been thinking of starting a another story on RWBY with my own character but it's a bit dark I will see how I feel, anyway enjoy.

Also I totally forgot about the confession bit so I basically summer admitted her feelings and jaune as well. Also told her about his status and the two decided to keep it a secret front the ruby and yang as to not make them spoiled or have a big ego. Sorry again for putting in the story I completely forgot and feeling a bit lazy
