OLIVER

Oliver was breathing heavily. It was dreadfully hot outside and training didn't help cool him down either. He was in the middle of a dual with Autumn. He had to admit, she was pretty good. Oliver swung at her forearm but missed. Then, he kicked her knees hard enough to make her legs give out on her but not hard enough to hurt her. She crumbled to the ground, her stern face fixed on her sword. She looked up and smiled. Oliver lightly tapped her, the tip of his sword resting on her heart.

"I win." He laughed, then helped her up.

"Yeah, yeah. Nice trick by the way. That is the only reason you won." She laughed mockingly.

Everyone clapped for Oliver. Then, an unfamiliar voice said, "Hey, I'm your new recruit."

Everyone spun around to see a girl with dark black hair and green eyes standing behind them, a backpack on her shoulders. She was wearing a beautiful yellow dress with a white apron.

"Welcome, I am Shawn." Shawn greeted.

"I'm Gwen. I am so happy to be part of this group."

"I'm sure." Shawn said.

"Nice to meet you, Gwen, I'm Oliver." Oli greeted.

She nodded in acknowledgment, "Where do I put my stuff?"

Analia showed her to her own tent and set her stuff down. When she came back training had already finished.

"So, do you have a power yet?" Oliver heard Shawn ask her.

"Yes, I was able to do training before I got here." "What is it?"

"Healing." She replied.

Oliver immediately went over to Analia and Shawn, dragging Gwen behind him. "She can heal Victor and Angelina!"

Shawn stood there for a second, thinking about the suggestion, "Only if she's up to it."

"Heal? You already have injured people?" She asked.

"One is sick, while the other is knocked out." Shawn told her.

"Of course I'll do it." She smiled.

Oliver hugged her without thinking. She laughed. Then, Shawn led her to Angelina's tent first. Gwen walked into it and looked at Angie. She knelt beside her and closed her eyes. She placed her hand on Angelina's chest. It took a minute, but Angie opened her eyes slowly. Oliver cheered. Shawn smiled.

"W-what?" She croaked quietly.

"You've been knocked out for almost two days..." Oliver informed her.

"I-I have?" A sensation of surprisement fluttered across her pale face. "I got to see my family."

"You did? How?" Oliver stood eagerly at her side.

Then, Angie turned her head towards Gwen, "Who's this?"

"I'm Gwen."

"Angelina."

Gwen's brows furrowed, "Wait..."

"Anyways, Gwen is the newcomer, she healed you." Shawn said quickly.

"Angelina Barrings?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, I know, the girl in a coma."

"You don't remember me?" Gwen asked.

Oli watched as Angelina looked at the girl in confusion, furrowing her brow weakly. "Sorry, no." Angie finally answered.

"I'm Gwen, I go to your school. We met on the bus." She told her.

Oliver saw Angelina's eyes grow bigger as she remembered Gwen.

"Now I do. It's nice to see you Gwen." Angelina smiled, then she sat up. "I'm sorry. My mind was still foggy."

"It's okay."

"Shawn? Where's Victor?" Angelina asked after a minute.

"Oh, um, he is sick." Shawn told her.

"What? I have to see him." Angie cried, scrambling to her feet.

"No, you have to rest." He answered sternly.

"Shawn, Angelina could cure him! Remember what Analia said was most likely the cause?" Oliver protested.

"Yeah."

"Angelina is that person! Come on, Shawn!" Oli said.

"Please, Shawn!" Angelina begged.

"Fine." He growled, then led Angelina to Victor's tent, his arms around her in support.

When they walked in Oliver saw the color drain from Angelina's face. She began to rush to his side but crumbled to the ground. Shawn rushed to her but she held up a hand to stop him. Angelina dragged herself to the side of his bed. Tears began to form in Oli's eyes.

"Vic? Hey, it's me." Her voice was hushed.

"Am I hallucinating?" He groaned in a weak, quiet voice.

"No, it is really me. I was healed." She told him in a reassuring voice.

Gwen walked over to Victor and knelt next to Angelina. She began to place her hand on his chest but paused, "May I heal you?"

Victor nodded. Gwen set her hand down and then closed her eyes for a minute then opened them again. Victor's eyes were wide open with surprise.

"My energy... It's coming back... I-I have energy again!" He cried happily. "Thank you! Thank you!"

"You're very welcome." Gwen answered.

"This is Gwen, from school, remember?" Angie told Victor as he sat up.

"Gwen? Like black hair and red glasses Gwen?" Victor asked, surprised.

"That's me." Gwen smiled. "The strange girl no one liked."

"Yeah, sorry, I thought you were super weird."Victor apologized.

"Eh, it's fine." Gwen said, getting back up on her feet, then helping Angelina up. Angie set her left arm around Gwen's shoulders and used the other to help Victor up.

"It's good to be back to normal, that was the worst day of my life. No, nevermind, definitely not the worst."

Angelina laughed, then, everyone walked out of the tent.

When everyone saw Angelina and Victor they all stopped what they were doing and rushed over to them.

"Angelina! Victor! You're okay! Thank gosh!" Chloe cried happily.

She hugged them both, squeezing them. Shawn glared at them, warning her to not squeeze them too hard. She quickly stepped away. Angelina laughed.

"Good to be back." Angie giggled.

"Yeah, we missed you!" Autumn smiled.

"Guys, Angelina was only out for a day." Shawn told them, annoyed.

Everyone raised their brows at Shawn, then Alexander said "Wow, Shawn, rude."

"He's right though." Angelina told them.

"Now everyone get back to your jobs." Shawn demanded.

Everyone groaned and rolled their eyes, then listened to Shawn. They shuffled over to go do their tasks. Angelina weakly walked over to Victor and hugged him. She looked up and watched his eyes, falling in love with the boy before her. He made her life perfect.
