Chapter Four

Journal Entry: Yesterday, I told myself that I would confront the warden of the island. Unfortunately for me he isn't so easy to get in contact with. He doesn't care and it's a good reason why as well. He knows about everything that goes on around the island. Every conversation, every step, every breath I take he knows about so nothing is safe from him. Charley also decided to introduce himself to me via note Kirk gave to me. He's clearly stated for me not to enter his part of the island which is an hour away from me currently. Little does he know me and him are bound to clash inevitably.

Hayden was the third inmate I met on the island after Kirk and Dakota. Not much can be said about him as we haven't really gotten the time to chat with one another. All I really know about him is he's a pretty nice guy.

He is quite tan which obviously wasn't obtained from here. The sky is purple with no visible sunlight. This sign in the atmosphere made me question how could it could sustain human life. I have to then remind myself that I'm literally in a different dimension. Anywho, Hayden has a typical stylish brown messy fringe with a medium fade. Long brown eyebrows that are thick at the beginning and slender at the end. He's got green eyes with no other signs of facial hair. Hayden is an inch shorter then me and also around my weight class, 121 pounds last time I checked.

Last but certainly not least, he wears a blue jumpsuit with black steel toed shoes.

Remember when I made Kirk that boiled egg and he went bonkers over how good it was? Yea, well word has gotten out and everyone wants my special egg! The only problem is it's just an egg with pepper sprinkled on it! How the hell does something so simple taste so good to them?

"Three hundred more peppered boiled eggs! I need them stat!" One of the head chefs shouted out to me who was struggling to keep up. "I don't know how you do it newbie! You make it look so easy."

That's because it is easy! It's literally two steps! Boiling and sprinkling pepper and bon appetite! I tasted this thing myself with a normal reaction afterwards. Why was it that these guys had their eyes popping out of their socket with insane amounts of snot running out the nose...

"Teach me how to make one newbie!" It's Za- oh forget about it. I've heard that word so many times I might as well adopt the name as my own.

The more I learned the island the more weirder and scarier it was for me. Last time here I didn't really pay attention to certain details like the eggs which were literally abnormally big. This wasn't an exaggeration, the egg was the size of a rabbit. Ostrich is the first thing that comes to mind right? Wrong, not only were they big they were green with black dots. How I didn't notice this left me completely baffled beyond comprehension. Just what kind of animal was this... and how come I never was told about other life on this island? Damn you Kirk...

Action needed to be taken if there was any the slightest amount of hope to be released from here. Last night, I threw together the necessary amount of steps needed for this escape plan. First, I need to find this Percy character and gather intel on how to meet with the Warden.

Second, I need a trusty guide and there is really a few people who can fit that role. Kirk naturally seems like the best person fit for that role since he's been here for the longest time and his status will make it easier for me to enter uncharted territory like Charley's for example. When I see him again I need to have a chat with the fourth original prisoner.

Third and was getting a hold of that guy I met yesterday. There's something he isn't telling me and that hothead temperament of his doesn't intimidate me one bit. He will have answers and I'm a hundred percent sure of it.

Finally was testing out the red void that people were so afraid of. Maybe people were afraid of it due to its radiant heat or it's seemingly bottomless pit. Either way, there was something strange about it. The void could have been an illusion that kept people from trying to escape. Those forty-four people who carelessly jumped in may have been back on earth for all we know. If I only took the time to actually pitch in to the evening news I may have found some interesting information.

After our shift was over me and the guys headed back to our room. My status quickly skyrocketed during my short time here and to be completely honest I somewhat enjoyed it. Knowing that these people genuinely loved my grade one cooking skills made me feel bubbly inside.

"You did great today!" Dakota said, "so many of those boys were asking about you! You know the old saying don't you? The best way to a boy's heart is through his stomach!" Does this guy ever have a bad day? I actually envy his happiness.

"Yea, those guys really wanted to see what you would look like in a dancer or server outfit. Think you would like to try it out?" Parker asked.

"I'll pass on the offer Parker. Not really much of a dancer myself or much of a social person either." I chuckled nervously.

Hayden placed a hand on my shoulder, "I like him back there with me. He's so calm and collected. His first official day and he was keeping up with everyone which is quite impressive if you ask me."

Hearing me being a center of a conversation had me almost blushing. I don't think it was all that impressive but whatever floats their boat I guess. Instinctively, I felt it was needed for me to smell myself and when I did the musky smell nearly took me away.

It had been a short while since I last took care of myself. Not even sure if I brushed my teeth or even took care of my hair. Yet people still had the courtesy to call me the next queen? Natural beauty sure is strong.

"Mind showing me where the showers are?" I asked and quickly Dakota had raised his hand indicating that he wanted the honor.

"I need a shower myself anyway. We can be shower buddies! Talking about so many things! Who we wanna swallow, biggest crush, hottest guy in the prison, and...." Dakota stepped a bit closer putting his hand near my ear. "We can see who's the bigger one out of the two of us." He whispered.

He's so happy and open about everything....

Grabbing my wrist Dakota had pulled me away from the others towards our room. "You and me are about the same height, possibly the same weight as well. I'm gonna let you borrow one of my swim trunks because you totally owe me for not coming to the springs! Once we synchronize for a few we'll go take a needed shower. Getting you adjusted to this place is my top priority because someone as fabulous as you shouldn't have a plain face most of the time."

At the springs nearly forty minutes away from our place on the island. Me and Dakota stopped a few feet away from the entrance. Two giant symmetrical gray pillars with shapes of boys carved into each one. The drawings were each the boys reaching out for one another. Interesting, just above their heads was another carving I just couldn't make out what it was.

"Oh don't pay those drawings no mind! They are fantastic don't get me wrong! But! Looking at still things give me nausea and make me vomit profusely. Let's go shall we!" Dakota had pulled me again forcing me into the dirt path. "Allowing the water to just take you wherever it wants allows for lots of meditation! Whatever that word means! Who knows, maybe you'll find someone you like."

Eventually, walking down a long dirt path we had made it to a point where there was just bushes covering whatever was on the other side. Still holding onto my wrist he used his other hand to cover my eyes guiding me slowly through the bushes. "Keep your eyes closed I'm removing my hand." He instructed.

I did as he told even though it made me feel naturally uncomfortable due to me not even knowing what I was prepared too see. Very vaguely laughter along with splashing could be heard. From my left I could hear Dakota fumbling with something, almost like a zipper?

"Alrighty! Open those pretty eyes of yours!" Slowly I opened them and the first thing my eyes laid upon was bare butt cheeks. "Such a nice breeze today..."

Wait what?!

I leaped back landing on my butt and unfortunately seeing this sight in a different angle didn't make seeing it any better. Dakota was completely exposed in broad daylight... his junior just waving around carelessly as well! Why must he be open with everything he does!

"Come now, come meet the others! They can't wait to meet you!" Dakota walked over to meet extending his hand out to mine. "Can I let you in on something?" He asked in a sort of seductive tone his eyes glistening with excitement. "If you let me swallow you whole, I promise you won't regret the sensation you'll feel... you'll never want me to let go of you."

"I AM A PROUD FRUITCAKE!"

"Oh, I know! I was just reciting everything I would say to Kirky! You nailed his representation perfectly!"

He grabbed my hand and helped me off the ground. "I'll have him right where I want him. He'll be trapped with no choice to be under my submissive control." He grabbed his trunks from within his jumpsuit quickly sliding them right on. "The water is nice and warm! Perfect way to strut that body of yours that I am so entirely envy of! Give me some tips please!" Just like Dakota, I also pulled down my prison jumpsuit wearing only the trunks he had let me borrow. Now with me in red and him in teal we were ready for a relaxing swim. I wasn't much of a swimmer, I was actually not much of anything outside my own element. Our bodies are too fragile one little slip and we pop like balloons. My feet are perfectly content with staying on solid earth for the rest of my life.

"Bonjour Monsieur, comment allez-vous aujourd'hui?" A rather tall thin boy popped from out of the bushes on the side of us causing me to jump back a bit. "Excuses! pour vous effrayer j'ai une mauvaise habitude de sortir de lieux aléatoires!" Two years of French class and all I got out of that was hello mister. Just shows how much I paid attention in class now doesn't it? I am just gonna assume he said sorry about scaring me. That or he's possibly flirting with me on the down low.

"This is Frederick, one of our many foreigners on this island. He doesn't speak one lick of English which is surprising cause he's an oldie. You would think eventually despite being not being his first language he'll at least throw a few words our way. It's like his vocal cords can't process anything."

Interesting, more of this island's colors was being revealed too me. First, it was the red void I came into contact with on my first day. Just a second ago it was a long hallway leading into an unknown place full of young teens. Then, when I tried to escape and I saw nothing but heated red that had absolutely no bottom. It was the question whether or not if you would fall forever or die immediately from intense heat.

Second, the unknown of long life expectancy of everyone here. Dakota was here for sixty years but looks like he may be seventeen years old. So if I add those two together its seventy-seven years old. Dakota doesn't look anything near that nor does he even show physical signs. Got to factor in also that there are many others like the four original prisoners are seemingly much older than anyone here. I remember Kirk explaining to me about the whole stupid sins thing but it still rose the question of if anyone can actually truly die. Those fourty-four prisoners who jumped into the void died but can people here die by other means? If I was a crazed psychopath, would killing anyone be possible? Or is this just a never ending world.

Third, the four original prisoners. One of my main questions about the four of them. Judging from the order introduced, it seems like Alex was the oldest with Kirk being the youngest. They all had special rankings that everyone clearly wanted yet no one could beat them for it. Each remained undefeated and dare I say that I could have known the reason why. One of the first signs was Kirk's abnormal strength. He's a very slim guy who probably hasn't trained a day in his life. But he has no problem opening a huge possibly fifteen foot tall door single handedly that would take a few grown men to push open. Another weird sign was everyone being god awful afraid of Charley telling me not to piss him off at all. Yes, I am implying that there may be some prisoners on this island with supernatural powers. Specifically, these four. Eventually, all people no matter how good they are become defeated. So, what kept these guys on top exactly?

Fourth and final was the possibility of other life on this island. That egg I saw belong to a creature obviously not human unless we evolved to shit out eggs on this island. What kind of creatures could have been here and were they hostile or docile?

Honorable mentions would be none other then the warden. The main guy who runs this place yet tries absolutely nothing to keep it in check he just lets whatever goes. I've yet to see even ten percent of this island and I feel that on other parts of it the people aren't so nice and friendly like over here. More studying obviously needed to be done.

"Hey! Hey! Good lord! I could have went back to our room took a shower and you would still be trying to figure out about this island. When your with me! There's no time for silly thinking! Let a bit of your guard down I promise you won't regret it."

How could I so easily though?

Just so he could stop antagonizing me about relaxing my shoulders I had decided to give a facade. Dakota's innocence is just too much for me and it slightly pained me that Kirk just blew him off so easily. Only reason why it didn't aggravate me more was due to the fact they obviously liked one another.

"Okay, I promise I won't think about anything relating to the island. Let's go for swim and where did Frederick go?"

"You stood like a statue for too long so he just simply left. But come on!" Lunging over he grabbed my wrist once more practically dragging me over to the streams of water. "I loved water ever since I was a little baby boy. It is one of the few things I remembered before coming here. Letting it carry you around with not a single care in the world."

Looking down, I saw how the clear blue water was. It made me question whether or not this was actually drinkable. It was also another type of blue, a blue clearly not known to me or any of human kind too be honest. A brand new color never before seen before how was this even possible? Could I even give it the name blue? I was only saying the color it looked similar too.

Over to my left there could be seen a few shirtless boys sitting by the stream chatting with me. They only just then acknowledged my existence and when they did all had naturally good looking smiles on their faces. Following the stream downhill with Dakota more and more was being revealed to my eyes.

"A lot of things go on around here. A LOT of things. Don't come here after night shift is done their time. Hard work usually leads to lots of built up testosterone needing to be let out of their bodies. It's only a natural human thing ya know? Especially big boy Jacan."

Hearing that word that started with the letter J instantly made me blush up a storm. I don't know what it was but the way he had me pinned against the wall with his rough hands exploring my body. Jesus, never pictured myself being a bit freaky.

There was also something odd about him as well. Jacan is also a known name I recalled him being stated as an alpha a few times. Anyone with a big name here means a huge reputation. Could he have also been an original prisoner making that a total of five? That wouldn't exactly be surprising too me.

The scenery here was breathtaking I will admit that. Whoever was the creator of this sinner island surely went out there way to make this place a haven. That's what makes me wanna get the hell out of dodge from this place. There's a catch and it sucks cause no one is willing to tell me about it or anyone who isn't too obsessed with this place that is. Oh, what am I doing? If I kept doing this Dakota is gonna keep aggravating me about thinking deep in thought.

As I watched people swim I could feel eyes burning into my back. I'm considered a newbie and people's usual first conception in prison after being there for a few days say it's horrible. Nothing besides that one major event has happened to me since arriving here on the island. To be on the safe side, no one has tried anything because of where I am located at which was the safer part of the island. Charley's letter clarified that this island was massive and this little piece I am now was barely just discovered.

"Hey, your a new face I haven't seen here. I am guessing your that newbie everyone has been going crazy about seeing." Turning down, I met face to face to guy with blonde wavy hair. "Gavin," he extended his hand out to me.

THIS GUY IS HOT! "Zach, so nice for someone to actually ask for my name." I took his hand shaking it lightly.

"Ah, you know why people are insisting on calling you a newbie? It's because they think you will just off yourself like the other guys did. I mean, when you first got here you immediately bolted for death's door. What's the point of getting to know someone who just tries to kill themselves am I right? Doesn't seem like the case for you though."

Gah, those abs are just on point. Shouldn't be surprised by this though there's nothing holding him back from achieving a goal body like that. "Care to explain?"

Dakota placed a hand on Gavin's shoulder, "so your name is Zach huh? That's a cute name. He isn't wrong about that though. To be honest, after seeing what took place I was cautious. Getting to know someone who might kill themselves the next day is just too painful makes it even worse when you knew their names. Believe me, don't think everyone was just calling you a newbie just to be jerks. Eventually, after being here for a while everyone would have gladly called you by your name."

"Yeah," Gavin agreed, "you'll be known in no time. But I am going let you guys be just felt the need to introduce myself though. Gotta get back to my babe before he gets jealous of seeing me talk with two gorgeous fruitcakes. See you guys around." With that Gavin had left back to his original group.

Dakota and I had finally settled down by the shoreline both of us placing our feet in water allowing the water to go in between our toes. "Hey Dakota? Just one last thing." I told him. He slightly turned his head pushing the hair out of his face. "I haven't noticed it but when it comes to those eggs. What creature does it belong too? Is it hostile?"

A smirk formed on his face, "it's a giant bird that's not known to any of us. From what I've heard it is a docile bird. Just don't let it see you steal it's egg or it quickly goes into the most aggressive thing you have ever seen. Won't rest until it sees you dead and that isn't an exaggeration. Luckily, we have some expert egg gatherers."

Hmm, a giant bird? How come I have never seen it. If it's a "giant" why was I missing it this creature? "There located at an unknown location, best stays that way too. If people knew where they were most likely they would try snatching more eggs that way." Well, that explains my question I guess.

Green leaves fell from trees into the water floating around, others splashed around playing games of marco polo, and most others went for just swam around with their significant others. Dakota seemed a bit more relax then he usually was, which was strange coming from him. He always over stated his sentences yet here he seemed more relaxed. What was the issue with him? Where was that happy, easygoing Dakota I enjoyed hanging around for the past few days.

"What's wrong? Ever since we got here you seemed a bit more relax and usually your not."

"It's just nice for someone to tag along. Everyone here has an significant other. I try not to let it bother me and for the most part I am successful. There is just those days when those bottled up emotions eventually do come out."

I felt what he meant about that. It reminded me of a friend back home, Anthony. Anthony had this crush on a girl who for once may have been perfect for him. He's had low self-esteem issues due to constantly being called an ugly freak of nature. Me personally never thought of him as ugly. In fact, he was quite attractive to me at least. He never believed that though, only negative words stuck with him. The girl had a crush on a special guy in the class and she pointed out that there were only two who peaked her interest. Anthony for once had hope in a while, he was a smart guy who kept his grades up, had a job, stayed in shape, and an amazing personality. Of course, like most of the human population she chose the latter. A guy who dealt with drugs, failing grades who most likely wouldn't graduate, and was a glorified pimp. All in all, Anthony gave up trying to find people, "what's the point in trying to find someone if all they look for is badness? The nice guys never win."

A shower was needed after staying with the springs for possibly two hours. Dakota had stayed back in the room for a bit he would be tagging along shortly after. It was fun being able to swim a bit with some other people playing a bit of mini games with them. I made it over to my destination which I don't remember since in my first night of being here I thought it was a good idea to be drunk off my ass. Again, even the bathrooms had far exceeded my expectations. Everything here was absolutely spotless there was not even a speckle of dirt spotted anywhere. Clean white tiled floors, white tiled walls, over hundreds of single stalls each with clearly see through leaving you completely exposed too any eyes wanting to see you. I should pull a Kirk and only take a shower when no one else is around. Don't think I could handle everyone seeing my junk.... not even the fog is enough to protect you. I could still clearly see people doing everything which wasn't exactly normal either.

I am such a pervert...

Too bad I wreak of human body odor and water. I needed to wash myself didn't want to dirty up the bed either. Like the secluded person I preferred to be, the very last stall was a must of me. Allowing little exposure as possible for any peeping toms. When arriving I noticed that this stall was far more different then any others. No glass was seen, perfect for me I suppose! Tossing my tower over the top I casually opened the door.

"HEY! HOW ABOUT KNOCKING NEXT TIME!" Immediately I had closed the door my eyes filled with shock from what I just witnessed. How can a human be bent over so awkwardly.... He was just... sitting there like that while the other just... nevermind.

After seeing that, the very next stall next to those lovebirds would have to do. Again, I placed my tower over the top of the glass door and placed my shower necessities on the shower rack inside. Stepping inside, I removed my trunks also stowing them away at the top. The shower was so big I could literally turn on hot water allowing the box to fog up making it just a bit more harder to see me while standing under the faucet safe from the water.

Few minutes would pass before the box was completely fogged up. If anyone wanted to see me they would need to open the door. Now, a must needed long awaited shower. I dipped my head first allowing water to run through my blonde hair then to the rest of my body. Pushing away the hair I squeezed out some soap to cleanse my body.

"Knock knock." Someone said and as soon as I registered the voice I stopped soaping my arms. "Ah, your name is Zach huh? Why am I not surprised by that? Zach and Jacan? Has a pretty decent ring to it don't you think?"

Big boy Jacan...

"Don't worry Zach, I ain't gonna go in there. That little thing we had was just a little experiment. To see if you liked being roughed up a bit. Seems to be the case for you cause you didn't even bother trying to stop me. In which you can't make any type of false accusations like the others. I've had a bad reputation for years due to those little bastards but there is no point not holding a grudge against anyone that isn't gonna disappear anytime soon."

Turning around I saw Jacan's giant figure behind the glass. He was so tall that I could see the top of his head barely over the glass door. "If you want me to stop bothering you just say the word. I'll make sure to keep my end of the deal from now on. So, what do you say Zach?"

Everything around me suddenly went quiet. The water splashing against my skin was inaudible. Next thing I knew, my mouth moved but I couldn't hear any words come out of my mouth. After I finished saying what I needed to say assuming it was my answer to his question everything had went back to normal. I turned around only seeing that Jacan left a heart drawn on the foggy glass his figure now gone.

What did I say....
