Helios Festival

Chapter 8:

Arch Dim Virtanen's POV

"Your highness please stop this nonsense and proceed to the gathering." Sir Romeu said.

"Oh come on Romeu your spoiling the fun." I said while getting rid of my crown and stuffs about royalty.

I saw how frustrated and worried Romeu's face but I have to see her again.

"His highness is gone again!"

"The crown prince is missing!"

I could hear the palace in chaos while I was riding a carriage with Romeu and the twins.

Romeu was my advisor ever since I was born he was still 12 at that time. He's been watching me for 16years already my father in trusted me to him since my mother died.

He vowed his name to be my loyal ally until the end, I didn't know why he did that but I was glad to have sir Romeu.

The only friends I have was Devian and Navied the twins who dared to approached me as a normal person not a person with the crown.

They are the General's sons Devian is skillful towards sword while Navied was knowledgeable about the empire.

"Pfft! Just hearing their voice makes me laugh so hard." Devian said.

"I know right your highness what's the plan?" Navied asked.

"Who says we need a plan?" I grinned and pull the hook of the carriage.

"Wait-"

"See you guys at the Philopia!" I shouted and left them with one horse.

While I was getting farther I could here Romeo's voice.

"Arch Dim Virtanen!!!!!!!"

"Oops thats loud." I giggled.

After a week of travel I manage to arrive at the Philopia.

"This place is indeed far from East Cove kingdom." I blurted while looking around.

"You are here again?" Hallie suddenly said made me surprise.

"Just what the hell are you how come you found out it was me?" I asked.

Didn't I disguise myself properly?

"Who wouldn't knew a dumb and stupid prince like you who has a spiral brooch." She said.

"Oh I totally forgot to remove it so what I'm sick of hiding you know." I said.

"Yeah you are always the forgetful one no wonder Oly was always worried about you." Hailee said which made me surprise.

"So you are saying Oly was worried because I don't know how to take care of myself?" I said irritatedly.

"Gosh you still has your bad temper however thats better than that villain idiot." She said.

That villain huh?

Yeah that guy was indeed troublesome.

I remembered our first encounter here in Philopia.

He's becoming different than the Raizel we know before.

I can't blame him neither of us can blame anyone its just turns out like this.

"Be careful Arch they are suspecting the East Cove kingdom if this goes on it could lead to war." Hailee said looking sad.

Right.

Hailee knows more than anyone what it feels to be involved innocently in war.

"I'll fix this problem you don't have to worry how's your brother?" I asked.

"Lois was still muted." She said looking ahead.

"You should have come with me Hailee." I said.

"To bring your kingdom in trouble? The Evergreens are hunted Arch if we step in East Cove it would be dangerous." She said.

"I could do something-"

"You know the Philopia Kingdom is more powerful regarding about defense right?" She added.

"I know but-"

"If my death can bring the peace that I want I'll take that risk to save Lois." She said interrupting me again.

"Can you let me talk?!" I exclaimed in frustrations.

I saw her giggle and smiled at me.

Hailee.

Don't show me that kind of smile its making me

Hate you.

"I beg you Hailee don't make a reckless decision." I said and walked away.

My feet suddenly brought me at the plaza Carrion.

This place I always end up with this place the familiarity was somewhat familiar.

My attention was caught by a familiar figure which made my heart act differently.

"You came back."

A sudden memory flashed in my mind which is very familiar to me.

"No matter how long it takes I'll wait for you here so promise me you'll come back." Oly said while giving me her warm smile.

That promise.

It was here Oly is waiting for me the whole time.

What kind of expression was that you don't deserve to have that tears Oly.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

Oly is in front of me I can't think clearly.

"I don't know." She said looking helpless.

"We are finally got to see each other yet you are crying." I answered and handed her my handkerchief.

"I'm sorry about this but I forgot to ask your name." She said.

She's.

She's not Oly.

Who am I kidding Oly was dead because I left her alone here.

"Call me Arch." I said with a bright smile to avoid my emotions.

"Well sir Arch its time for me to pay my debt to you." She smiled and take out a necklace.

She's not Oly they just have the same voice and warmth.

"You don't have to but you actually impressed me Lady Olivia." I said while looking at the necklace.

I actually don't care about this thing but I got this urge to accept it.

"Thank you it might not be perfect but I do hope you like it." She said.

"Its perfect." I said and wears it.

"Wait do you think its fine we are at the commoners area." Lady Olivia asked.

"You seems sad do you want me to make you happy?" I asked while changing the topic.

Liar. I'm the one who is sad here.

"Really? Your offer is quiet tempting however I'll gladly say yes!" She exclaimed in excitement.

Those eyes were like Oly its made from the bright sun.

Can I be a bit selfish right now?

I wanted to feel Oly again I missed her so much.

"Lend me your hand and used your hood to take cover, let's runaway from this place." I said while offering my hand.

I saw her stare on it but to my surprise she accepted it.

We ran out of the commoner's area and saw a running carriage.

"Lady Olivia hold tight I'll pull you get ready to jump!" I exclaimed.

"Got it!" She agreed in excitement.

I jumped at the back of the carriage and offered her a hand.

"Come on you can do it!" I said.

She grabbed my hand and jumped as I pull her towards me.

I saw a beautiful smile form in her face.

"Its fun." She said.

I can't think anything but felt happiness inside me.

"Have you been into a festival?" I asked.

"No I haven't." She said in a cold tone.

I was a bit surprise on how she acted.

"Then let's go see the Helios Festival at the south border!" I exclaimed.

I saw her eyes lightened when I suggested the festival.

"R-really? Can I really attend a festival?" She asked.

What does she mean about that?

"Lady Olivia everyone can attend a festival its either a commoner or a noble everyone is allowed." I explained.

"I see." She replied shortly.

"You shouldn't act like that when you are with me, don't think about anything else Olivia can you do that for me?" I asked.

"My apologies you are right I shouldn't think about negative stuffs." She said.

"Very well then let's go." I said.

We look around the area and saw some people dancing and children running around.

The travelers from other kingdoms were happily celebrating the festival.

A lot of sunflowers were on the way and every shops.

"Lady Olivia can you stay here for a while?" I asked.

She nodded.

I brought a small sunflower and look around a ribbon caught my attention who has a small sunflower designs.

I immediately walk inside the shop and asked.

"How much is this?" I said.

"That would be 50 pesos sir." The attendant answered.

"I'll take this." I said and left.

I saw Olivia looking at somewhere which made me curious.

She was looking at the couple who were happily teasing each other.

I walked towards her and called her name.

"Olivia." I said and gave her a smile.

"W-what's this." She said looking shy and startled.

How cute.

"I brought it for you and I guess it would suit you can I?" I asked to tie her hair.

"Sure." She said giving me her breathtaking smile.

I slowly took of her hood and touched her soft and beautiful white hair.

After tying her hair I faced her and gave the sunflower.

"Your eyes are very beautiful it reminds me of a sunflower." I said.

I saw her looking surprise and slowly accepted the flower.

"Let's go." I said and hold her hand.

We enjoyed our time together by experiencing the dove wish.

Were we write our wishes at the paper and tie it on the dove's feet so that when we release it they can fly away with our wishes.

"What did you wish?" I asked.

"Something like this how about you what did you wish?" She asked while looking at the sky.

"Something this beautiful." I said while not taking my eyes off her.

I immediately remove my eyes before she could catch me staring at her.

"Olivia can you call me Arch?" I blurted.

"A-arch?" She said making me smile.

"I like it." I said and dragged her away.

We ran into the river port and look for a boat.

"Where are we going A-arch?" She asked.

"I'll show you." I said and throw a pouch of coins into the watcher.

I rowed the boat father until we arrive at the wide lake which is connected from the East.

"Its beautiful." She said looking at the flowers on the lake.

"It is." I said staring at her.

When did I start being like this?

Maybe because she remind me of Oly is that really is?

I barely know her.

"You've been staring at me ever since we got here." She said.

"Geez I'm caught are you going to report me to the knights?" I grinned.

I froze to see her laugh.

"Silly when does staring became a crime? Thats the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard." She said.

"Your not just beautiful but also smart." I said.

I saw her smile and spoke.

"Did I made you fall for that?" She asked.

"Yes you did." I replied directly.

Both of us became silent after that and decided to eat.

Even we were eating it became awkward but I don't want it to end this way.

"You are thinking too much." I said and shook my head.

"Hey! You made me speechless." She exclaimed.

We both laugh on how we acted and realize were like fools.

"I just guess." I said.

"I was being honest too." She replied.

We were able to flip the awkwardness because of what happened.

Its finally time to separate our ways now that its almost late.

"Did you enjoy the festival?" I asked.

"Yes I did thank you how about you?." She asked.

"Me too I was glad to have the honor on being with you Olivia." I said and kissed the back of her hand.

"I'm looking forward to run over you again." She said and waved goodbye before I could speak.

"How sly now I'll be waiting for that time my sunflower." I said to myself while looking at her fading figure.

I decided to wait at the hidden Manor and laid in the bed.

"They should be here right now." I thought.

Speaking of them.

The door immediately opened and showed the exhausted look of Navied and Devian.

"Your so not fair." Devian blurted.

"Where's Romeu?" I asked.

"You seems happy to care." Navied said glaring at me.

"Where is Romeu?" I asked again.

"Did you two meet again?" Navied said and ignored my questions.

"What did I miss?" Devian asked looking at me and Navied.

"Yes we met." I answered and grabbed a book.

"He's got back to the palace." Navied answered.

The way we talk is actually normal unlike Devian who is so dense.

"Thats good then Devian have you gathered any informations?" I asked.

"The ghoulens are involve." Devian said.

Ghourlet Kingdom was led by the new King Reatt Laiv Arristron. They have a very hostile attitude regarding about different kingdoms.

"Are they trying to toss a misunderstanding to raise a war for East Cove and Philopia?" I asked.

"Indeed that might be their point, they must have thought that Philopia won't stood up for East Cove kingdom." Navied said.

He's right the two kingdoms are mortal enemies in the first place but because of the unforeseen circumstances the two land have created an alliance and remained peaceful.

"You mean to say that the Ghourlet Kingdom are trying to messed up the Alliance?" Devian asked.

"Probably but we don't have enough evidence yet and I bet Prince Raizel would even dare to care." I said.

How troublesome.
