After drinking up the bottles, I wondered why I hadn't gotten a purple flask to my spatial magic affinity. Had the god of shadows forsaken me? My stomach felt bloated, and my body felt weak. I felt myself sinking and the next thing I knew my soul resurfaced upon a heavily perspiring body. I opened my eyes slowly, and bright light entered them, almost piercing my pupils. I blinked to get used to the light and took a deep breath into my lungs. I am finally back into my body; it should have been about 45 minutes since my fever started.

I coughed and felt my throat dry, like two sandpapers rubbing against each other. My oesophagus hurts, how long has it been since I last drank water? Reaching out to a glass jug nearby, I felt the surge of power in my core and shivered. How cool and tingly. I moved closer to reach over and grab the jug. Pouring myself a cup of water, I heard a large thump. I held the glass tight against my hand and took a sip before looking at my doorway, where a maid was seen on the floor.

"My lady...is that you?" I nodded, continuing to take small sips as Katrina asked fearfully. She looked at me in pure shock and horror. The plain water trickling down my throat felt like heaven's gift. I felt something tickling at my legs and looked down to my familiar dark brown hair, tickling at my ankle. How peculiar, why is my hair at length so different?

"Rina, what are you doing on the floor! I told you to clean our lady toda-" I heard her scream in shock, before she ran down the hall. The familiar screaming maid's eyes filled with happiness, and excitement opposite of the one who fell and is sprawled on the floor. I stretched softly, felt my bones creaking, my arms look so thin and almost deathly. I chuckled when I heard the running maid's voice clearly echoing down the halls.

"The lady is awake! The lady is awake after 7 months, called the Duke and Duchess. MY LADY IS FLOATING!" Amy's voice sounded across the hall, high pitched and like a warning horn. Soon, I heard multiple footsteps, like a rainy day's pitter pattering, heading towards my room and I sat down on the windowsill.

My body was still aching with fatigue, and I closed my eyes. I felt the cooling surge of mana moving across my body and lastly down to my fingertips. I rolled my shoulders when the ache dulled, and I opened my eyes when my parents called out to me.

"My sweetheart!" Mother pulled me into her arms, and Father stood looking at me from the middle of my room, his eyes almost filling quickly with tears and surprise. Ah-ha my emotional Father, the Duke. Behind him stood my emotionless doting brother.

"Your eyes, they're different now, Estelle," Mikael said. Oh, how I missed his cold emotionless voice, almost like a drum beating against my ears, yet his usually stoic eyes were filled with relief and was clearly worried for my well-being.

"Elder brother." I looked at him, nodding my head and I smiled as happiness filled my cheeks. I, for once, wasn't powerless anymore. Father stared at me, deeply in thought and he suddenly frowned.

"Your fingers are glowing yellow. Heal...?" Father said, confused, he was no longer smiling towards me. Immediately, his hand turned to the door to slam it closed. He took my blanket and covered me from head to toe.

"HIDE HER HANDS! SHE'S A HEALER."

Father, I don't think that's your only problem.
