Chapter 212 The truth

Arthur's calm gaze swept around the Avengers. Especially his eyes were focused on Tony who started this meaningless fight.

Tony said with a light tone.

" Arthur, you know they are at fault. Why are you obstructing my path?"

Arthur snapped his finger and a team consisting of Arthur's faction came out from the portal. They were looking at the Avengers with indifference.

Pietro looked at Wanda with worry.

" Wanda, come over here. We are here to help you."

Wanda looked at Arthur's eyes and walked towards them.

Swoosh*

Vision landed beside her. Wanda looked at him and turned her head away. Vision grabbed her hand and walked with her.

So did the other cap's team. Tony didn't stop them as he know Arthur's behavior. He was sheltering them from the US.

Peter asked.

" Mr.Stark, shouldn't we stop them?"

Tony smiled wryly. He pointed at himself and Arthur.

" Do you think I can stop him? He is with his whole team. I can't take down him, let alone his team who are consistent of powerful members."

Peter tilted his head. He said with an unbelieving tone.

" But we are strong too. Besides, cap's team is almost exhausted."

Tony shook his head.

" They have Vision and Arthur. Not only that Pietro and Wanda aren't easy to handle. Not to mention the defenders."

Peter fell into silence. He also knew about Arthur's destructive power. He is enough to handle them. Only, Tony can hold him back in the battle.

Natasha went next to Arthur. She lowered her head and apologized.

" Sorry husband, I have disappointed you."

Arthur gently stroked her head. He smiled brightly.

" Fool, I never prohibited your movements, right? I believed in your vision."

Natasha stood silently. These words were enough to show Arthur's love and care for her.

Tony coughed.

" Cough* Arthur, can I leave them to you? I mean I can't bear their looks in the prison."

Arthur nodded. He waved his hand.

" Yes, you can leave them to me. Tony, you can't blame yourself for this incident. It would happen sooner or later."

Tony didn't answer back. He turned around and said lightly.

" Go. We will see each other again soon."

Arthur looked at him deeply and left with his teammates.

Suddenly, Tony received a message from Jarvis. He said quietly.

" No way. Did I make a mistake?"

Rhodes asked with curiosity.

" What happened?"

Tony flew up and said loudly.

" I have an important job to do. Go on."

Rhodes shouted.

" What do you mean?"

Meanwhile in Russia.

Steve was walking with Bucky. He was observing the faculty with a calm gaze.

" I can't believe that they found a way to duplicate the super-soldier serum. But what happened to it?"

Bucky replied lightly.

" No, they didn't find a way to duplicate it. Instead, they used your leftover."

Steve's pupil shrunk. He clenched his fists.

" They all same. Thinking about their profit. We were once allied."

Bucky shook his head.

" The peace was ended with your death. The USSR didn't hold back its greed and ambition. So did the US. I honestly can't remember what I had done in the last century."

Steve patted his shoulder.

" Hey, it isn't your fault."

Bucky didn't deny nor did he accepts it.

" We are here, Steve. This is the place."

Steve looked around the room and found the capsules. He carefully swiped the dust.

" Are they asleep?"

Bucky shrugged his shoulders. He went to the controls.

Beep*

He pushed the button.

Capush*

The capsule was opened and Steve touched the soldier's body.

Bucky asked with concern.

" How are they?"

Steve shook his head. He replied calmly.

" Dead. Probably a couple of hours ago."

Bucky noticed the bullet remains on the capsules.

" Who could have done this?"

Steve shook his head.

" I don't know. All I know is we were set up by someone."

Bucky also guessed the answer. He picked up his gun.

" Then he better pray for his safety."

Suddenly, Steve felt something. He looked at the door and saw an incoming figure.

" Tony?"

Tony landed on the ground. He apologized sincerely.

" Steve, I was wrong. I should have listened to your and Arthur's words."

Before Steve said something. The control display lit up. Tony saw a familiar car in the video.

" This is."

Steve also saw the unusual state of Tony.

" Tony, don't watch it."

Tony didn't stop watching. He saw his parents death with his own eyes.
