Chapter 43 Someday

Arthur was sitting in his office while contemplating whether he should accept the deal from the EU since they were also the victim of this war, but that didn't mean he should send some of his blueprints. Although Arthur had received one blueprint and one squad of elites for his protection, he wasn't thinking about the EU.

" This is a honey trap. We can't possibly send you there because there are countless assassins after you. Even with our most advanced technology, you can't save yourself from the whole battalion."

General Ben said while resting his chin on his arms. His eyes were focused on the nervous faces of the ambassador of the EU. He knew the EU didn't have the capability to keep Arthur safe.

" Then do you expect our people to die? We are still losing lives at this moment. We need both professor Frost and Hawking. They are essential to our survival since our forces cannot hold much longer."

Bang*

One of the high-ranking officers hit the table with fury. He couldn't take it anymore as he exploded with anger.

" If the EU warned us before this attack, we wouldn't be in this muddy situation. Moreover, Chrono device isn't stable yet. How can we send our core scientists to you?"

He said with anger in his eyes. His words were reasonable, but he forgot one detail. He forgot Stephen Hawking was British.

" We won't force you, but you have to allow us to take professor Hawking away. We need his help."

The high-ranking politician spoke with a calm tone. However, his eyes were still on Arthur's body because he was the key to this war along with professor Einstein, but professor Einstein was too old compared to Arthur who was a young genius. Furthermore, he knew Americans wouldn't send Einstein to their side.

" Wait, I will agree to your request, but I will only help you to save the civilians. Other than that, I can't offer anymore because there are still innocent soldiers on the enemy side. I can't blindly kill everyone like a few days ago."

Arthur said with a heavy expression. He didn't want to slaughter Russians. They are humans with flesh and bones like him. Additionally, most of them have families in their homes.

" If you can evacuate our people, we will hand over these items."

The ambassador spoke with a bright look. He was optimistic about Arthur who was known as the miracle.

" Here, take these from me. It is the recipe of ancient Roman concrete and the recipe of semi-damacus steel."

Arthur said gently while pulling out two papers from his chest. He was willing to exchange these priceless recipes for these insignificant items. Even so, Arthur knew these things would save many people's lives in this war.

Roman concrete is hard and sturdy, unlike today's concrete. Damascus steel had both hardness and flexibility. Hence, it was ideal to create weapons based on its characteristics.

" The legends were true. It is my ancestors' creation."

A man said while holding the recipe with excitement. His eyes were filled with tears of happiness because no one had managed to recreate this concrete for 1000s of years.

" If it is that concrete, we can create the greatest fortress with the greatest defense."

The ambassador said with hope in his heart. Combined with their grand cannon. They would be undefeatable even if the Soviets dismantled their nukes.

A few days later.

Arthur looked at the vast ocean with nostalgia in his eyes. He loved seeing the ocean because it always calmed his turbulent heart with its gentle waves.

" What are you thinking?"

Tanya said while looking at his lonely back. She saw Arthur's face and found he was thinking about something deeply.

" About my future. I wonder what would happen if I die one day."

Arthur sighed while sitting down on the beach.

" Nothing would change. You said you were the greatest hero on your planet, right? People will miss you, but they will learn that what you have left behind isn't your memento. It is your idea and will. There will be many who would follow your ways..."

Tanya said with a gentle look on her face.

" Perhaps, what you have said is the truth. The world would eventually accept my death and they would move without me."
