The creatures ravaged Asgard with their sheer numbers. Although Hela and Arthur were eliminating them with incredible speed, they were still growing like cockroaches.
Arthur's light pierced through their bodies and some of them were directly burned by the heat of the light, but he couldn't find the females which were hiding and multiplying.
" Persistent bastards."
He looked at the burning buildings and saw a few figures in the fire.
" Run to Bifrost!"
He said while putting out the fire with his water-controlling power. He was saving Asgardians at the same.
" There is no end of them unless I use my nether fire."
Hela frowned, looking down from the sky with a complicated expression on her cold face. She clenched her fists with unwillingness since she built this nation for a few days with her best effort, but those two prisoners ruined her work.
" We will find a way to clean the area. First, we need to evacuate the citizens to Bifrost. Hela, go to Bifrost and stop them from killing innocents. Even great warriors will be killed if they face this amount of bugs."
Arthur said, burning them to the ashes. He cleaned a way for Hela and protected her back since the bugs were relentless. His armor and cape were dazzling like the sun in the sky.
" This is my friends' home and my wife's home. I won't let you pass through this point."
He shouted, creating a light sword in his hand. He swung his hand and the buildings were cut in half with his sheer force. He was like an incarnation of war God in this field. Hela could see the shadow of her father when he was young.
" I won't allow you to die."
She muttered as she glanced in his direction last time. She knew Arthur had limited stamina even though he was the strongest existence on Earth. That means sooner or later he would reach his limit even if he turned into his other forms unless he allows himself to be a host of the ancient gods like Vishanti and that would be a big drawback because Arthur's power can't be harnessed through the soul of another. He would practically reset himself.
On the other hand, Arthur was calm. His eyes were scanning around to find the females and destroy them before the eggs come out.
" I see, so that is why you are still multiplying. You guys aren't an individual, you are one being that shares each other's perspective. However, the nest mind isn't omnipotent. I have destroyed one before, I can destroy one now."
Arthur didn't swing his sword as he pressed his palms together. The earth cried out with a sound of destruction as it folded like paper and rolled like a tsunami.
Arthur destroyed the space surrounding Asgard to annihilate these obnoxious creatures. His golden hair fluttered in the wind as he yelled.
" Begone!"
Boom*
The reality immediately lost its color as it bent its core to him. Arthur was already at the level of reality warper, but he wasn't omnipotent like Infinity stones. Even his power was limited in the area of one district.
The buildings mixed with the blood of the bugs that couldn't shriek before their death. They were directly crushed by reality.
Arthur didn't stop as he continued to use his power to exterminate the bugs. His breath was shortening each moment when he used the power since it was deadly power that eclipsed the law of the universe. Therefore Arthur had to pay for the cause.
His eyes tingled with pain since he was abusing it.
" I don't give up!"
He roared as his eyes shed blood even though they were rinnegan which reached the pinnacle of its evolution. Unlike regular rinnegan, his eyes didn't have those black circles. Instead, they were translucent circles that gave his eyes a godly look.
Thump*
His heart beat weakly as he panted. He could hear the cries of his soul and his forms. They were criticizing him for his stupidity. However, that gave him even more will to survive. He wanted to see his children and wives. He wanted to live in peace.
" Arthur!"
Suddenly, he heard a shout from a familiar voice. A god who stood toe-toe with him once ago.
Boom*
A dazzling lightning fell before him with a silhouette of a heroic man standing on the ruins. His caped fluttered in the wind as he blocked the incoming wave of bugs.
