Chapter 3 Breach part 3- SCP 106 " Old Man"

The captain felt his scalp tingling for no reason. He felt something was watching them and waiting for them in these dark halls, wishing them to swallow, no it was playing with them. He raised his gun to the hall with unknown premonition.

" Cap, no matter what I say, please don't look above us. There is something above us."

Right when he said it, the captain felt thousands of ants crawling under his skin because he knew what was watching them in this hall. A monster that was hiding under the skin of a human known as the ' Old Man '.

On other hand, Johnheart was observing the expression of the captain and Arthur with calmness despite the gravity of the situation. He slowly slipped his hand into his pocket, feeling something metallic inside his pocket.

" Duck!"

He shouted, throwing the flashbang to the air with great precision. The shriek of the monster could be heard as they immediately grouped up. Arthur pulled up his pistol, firing at the disgusting-looking old man.

" All units, open fire!"

He ordered, hammering the monster with a hail of bullets which were made by Doctor Gears to neutralize his space movement ability. Moreover, Arthur used his unique type of acid bullets.

Hiss*

The sound of metal melting could be heard through the loud cry of guns, telling how powerful those bullets were despite their little shell.

" It is no use. 106 is practically unkillable unless we destroy him to the atomic level. Proceed to the plan quickly."

Johnheart warned the team of a dilemma, there was no technical way to kill this thing, therefore most obvious thing escaped from this place and restore the electricity before he kills them.

Captain heeded his words while gesturing his men to suppress any moving target until the area where they can finally catch a breath. However, the journey was just beginning as 106 let them go to the hall deliberately because he wanted to have fun.

As a sentient anomaly, 106 decided to kill them slowly until somehow they manage to contain him. He slowly licked his lips with amusement while hiding in the darkness again. The hunt was on.

Arthur reloaded his pistol, thinking about the possibilities in his head quickly to assess the overall situation for their survival. 106's breach possibly stirred other anomalies as well.

" If 106 is free, the same go for the others. Signal each other if you detect something unusual. Moreover don't look at the sitting creature and tell me if you see 173. We are currently in great danger that could potentially kill us if we move wrong."

Arthur said coldly to raise their awareness in this hell hole. It was now either they will turn on the electricity or they would be hunted like pests in these cold rooms.

The captain nodded under his stern voice while guiding the way with great attention. He silently walked through the rooms one by one, looking around his surroundings with distress. Each passing second felt like a year to him and other members because it was rare to witness such a large scene an outbreak on this site.

They couldn't even talk under the stress, knowing something would come to them if they talk here.

Step*

They aimed their guns while flashing the light to the source of the owner of those steps. They saw a peculiar man with a mask that was shaped like a crow with a beak and he was holding a leather bag that was reinforced with steel, indicating something was hidden in that bag.

" Oh my, it isn't my friend, Arthur. What are you doing here my friend? The infected beings are roaming in these halls."

The man spoke in a peculiar tone that belonged to the era which had passed a long time ago. He took out a needle from his bag, handing it toward Arthur who kept a close relationship with him on this site because only he regarded him as a doctor and a scientist.

" 049, aren't you supposed to be in site 17 for a check-up?"

Arthur asked, not understanding why he was here in the first place. Although Arthur doesn't like his experimental approach like using living humans as subjects, he respected him because he dedicated his entire being to the purpose of curing others even though it was likely to be an imaginary disease. Nonetheless, he was much better than other anomalies.
