Chapter 19 Forgetten memories

Arthur huffed with difficulty like something was blocking his chest. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get rid of this feeling of anxiety and frustration that plagued his mind. He couldn't understand what was happening to him, but he knew he was missing something.

An object, more specifically a piece of him was felt like missing and that part was calling him in his dream. However, he didn't want to go or answer his call because he was afraid of leaving his current family. He was afraid of leaving the site and his friends behind due to his past self. Thus, he was struggling to forget it.

" Haha, it is funny. We are both one, yet you desire to live here selfishly while forgetting about your past and your family. Do you think that you would be able to get rid of me? Face it. Whether you want it or not, you will leave this place because your calling is in a different place. You felt that a long time ago."

His past said, pointing at the mirrored memories of his past. Although the gems were able to wipe out his memories from his consciousness, his subconscious captured them. Therefore, Arthur's memories were sealed until the energies of the very beings that sealed them, called him back.

" No, I want to live here. I don't care about my past. I have a foster father and a family here. Why would I ever go back? Just to bleed for others. Humans are selfish, I saw the fragments of my memories. When I saved them they tore with joy while I needed their help, they couldn't save me as I died in the end. Is it justice?"

Arthur shouted, remembering the faces of people who didn't help him in his desperate times. He could tell he didn't think anything due to his kindness, but he is different now. He was kind, but not heroic.

" Fine, suit yourself because you are a coward and shame of our soul. I can't believe we are the same person. You dare to abandon your children, wives, sibling, and your maternal side. Do you think they would ever forget about you during your absence? Your pathetic being brings tears to their faces."

He said, disappearing into the darkness. Only emptiness was left of his existence and that managed to hurt Arthur. He knelt on the floor, looking at his paintings with pain. He didn't know who he was and what he wanted to do, but he recalled the faces of the women that were looking at him with hope. The faces of men who laughed with him, added spice to his journey.

" What am I doing? I have to go back. They are waiting for me and I go back here anytime. Guide, I know you are hearing my voice, so please send me back."

Arthur said, searching for the traces of the foreign entity in his soul. He knew Guide was always with him even though the system was scrapped and she always assisted him.

" Sigh* Took you long enough. The portal of the dimension will soon appear thanks to your partners, but remember this isn't a simple war. You need the strongest people with the largest armies to fight one of the greatest forces in the universe."

The guide spoke softly, finally revealing herself. Even though other parts of the system were integrated into her, only leaving her. She became part of his soul, thus she was able to sense the foreign power.

" Huu, I understand. Although I am fully recovered, my mental isn't in the best situation. Besides, I can't find my swords and armor. Guess, I have to reconnect the portals and summon spirits."

Arthur said, cracking his neck with a calm expression. He felt a little reluctant inside, but that was the leftover emotion. Hence, he heeded no attention to it except for sighing. He looked at the mirror, hanging above the drawer while fixing his hair with his comb.

" This dude is seriously getting on my nerves. Why did I have to behave like that?"

He complained, knowing it was the time. The blue portal which was leading to his world, opened before him. This was a time to go now.
