Arthur was surprised by her sudden hug attack, but he didn't push her away or break her hug, instead, he caressed her hair. It was soft and beautiful like his hair and he smelled Diana's smell from her.
" Father, I always wanted to meet you."
Vera spoke gently, showing her love for her father. Throughout her childhood, she idolized and followed her father who always kept justice despite his heart. He was fair and kind to his people, just and merciful to his enemies.
Even Olympian gods respected Arthur more than any human champions and heroes on the planet because he was the kind of person who always shone like a star.
" It appears that I have misguided my granddaughter. Should you have to greet your elders first?"
Hippolyta smiled, teasing Vera who was sticking to her father like a sloth. She looked funny since she was shorter than her father and less burly, her physical body was similar to Diana, but compared to Arthur, she had a long way to go.
" I am sorry, grandma. I never thought I would see my father again."
Vera reluctantly freed Arthur as she apologized to her. She saw Diana was glaring at her with a strict warning which sent shivers down her back, knowing she would teach her lesson later.
" Diana, stop glaring at the child. It is not her fault."
Antiope walked in the scene with Steve who was smiling brightly. They were happy to see their old friend and relative after a long time. Although they retired to the back, they kept close eyes on the dark world in the absence of him.
" Hi, Art. You look good. Look at those lines."
Steve clicked his tongue, envying Arthur who had a body of a sculpture. The perfect armor and weapon made him even more beautiful than most of the Gods and humans in history. Obviously, his children inherited his good genes, becoming beautiful people. Kyle was one of the examples of that.
" Geez, look at you two. You look fine. Let me guess children made you leave the job, right?"
Arthur placed Vera on his lap, talking with his friends with a smile. The Amazonian warriors sat next to them as they eavesdropped on their conversation because they found it interesting.
" Indeed, it appears that you are also doing things from behind. I can see that you aren't active as before."
Antiope replied, looking at Arthur who was much more calm and collected than before. She felt like he was a solid black of rock that had gone through eons and her predictions weren't far off.
" Is it that obvious? After living for many years, I found my purpose in my family and the dimensions that needed my help. Even though I retain my position as a chief hero, I don't actively fight crimes anymore except for major threats. All I want to do is spend time with my family and explore the vast unknown universes to bring more smiles to the people."
Arthur laughed, mentioning his goal in life had been changed after going through death and life situations. The feeling of obligation were lost in time as he freed himself from the chains of burden.
" I see that is good. You have become even wiser than before and I believe the gods would bless you with their utmost."
Hippolyta said gently, guessing he must have gone through hard times and he found his peace in those times, resulting in his current peaceful life.
However, that didn't mean he was a weakling. In fact, current Arthur was more dangerous than in his 20s. He could think fast and effectively, and he was much stronger than before.
" Father, will I become strong like Mother and you? Mother said you were much weaker when you had arrived here and you earned the respect of others with your talent and dedication."
Vera asked, yearning to become a figure like him. She could tell that all Amazonians thought Arthur was one of them and they respected him like the gods of Olympus.
" Of course. People will continue to grow up and become powerful even if they have no powers. The only way to reach that state is to find your callings and respond to them. After all, you have divine, mana, and demon energies inside you. "
Arthur revealed that he could sense there were three energies inside her. This surprised Hippolyta and Diana as well as Antiope who trained her.
