Chapter 96 Behold the twilight

" Use radianite and mana stones. Use everything in our arsenal to hold."

Tony gave out everything in Eden as other heroes stood with them. The mages used their magic, the gods used their divine power and some even tried to alter the reality, but the antimatter bomb was just too strong.

In the first place, the universe was created from matter, dark matter, and antimatter. No technology could harness its power, but their eyes didn't deceive them as the explosion destroyed even space itself. If it wasn't Eden's barrier, it might have annihilated the entire planet without any problem. No god or devil could stop its destruction.

CRACK, BOOM*

The barrier shattered along the explosion, subduing the energy to itself while saving the world from destruction. The energy of the city dropped to zero as Tony felt his armor was shutting down.

" Not good! LOOK!"

They pointed at the incoming missile that tied someone on the tip. Clark immediately flew over the bomb with his subsonic speed, but just before he reached it. Lex grabbed his cloak and threw him down. Other heroes tried to destroy it but there was a timer on it and it had no time as it exploded right before their eyes. However, they saw a single figure throwing the hostage to the ground as he surrounded himself with the bomb.

" Haha, fool! That is a neutrino bomb that I bought from a lunatic. It can even destroy planetary systems."

Lex laughed with sarcasm in his voice. The space and reality around the barrier are distorted and shattered into pieces. The huge energy of collision caused an earthquake and some before their eyes.

It lasted for a minute before a figure crushed down to the ground. It was Arthur who was injured beyond any human recognition. His body and face were badly disfigured and he was unable to breathe due to his serious injury. It was a miracle that he survived the explosion but by means, he wasn't well. He was already in a dead state and his almost near-instant regeneration ability couldn't heal him.

" No, Father!"

The children of his rushed to his side as other heroes paled when they saw their leader was dying in front of them.

" Quickly, get him into the capsule!"

Chloe Zhao pushed a capsule before them, urging them to put him there. Heracles immediately put Arthur inside as they watched him tremble with agony.

10 minutes before the incident.

" Owner, is that Lord Arthur? He looks young."

The customer spoke loudly as people turned their heads to the picture in which the owner was standing with young Arthur who was smiling brightly.

" Indeed. He is our regular. You might catch him during some holidays."

The owner spoke with a proud face. As soon as he finished his words, the channel suddenly changed itself. The people paid attention to their live because they saw the familiar city. It was Eden the lighthouse of humanity.

The hosts were the infamous villains whom they had seen before. Furthermore, they saw a middle-aged man with a weird smile.

" Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Mephistoles. I am your host today. Today we will show you the fall of your beloved icon, Arthur Frost. I will show you that he isn't invincible like the rest of you, humans. Now then enjoy the show!"

The screen showed the nuclear bomb attacks as the city withstood the bombs like it was nothing. The guests cheered loudly and felt proud when they saw Eden was stopping their attacks like nothing until they saw the antimatter bomb.

They witnessed the bomb destroying everything as the terrible energy was felt even in their direction.

" He is Arthur. He can hold this."

The owner grinned with a bright face, believing Eden would last enough to stop it and he was right. The people saw the heroes stopping the attack as the villains changed their faces.

" Look at them. They look like they ate a shit, don't they? Bloody hell, haha!"

The guests burst out with laughter, but soon their faces changed. They saw the attack wasn't over as a single missile headed toward there and exploded in the mid-air before anyone could react to it. They saw the awful destruction that defied any human logic.
