For his entire heroic journey, Peter aspired to become a person like Tony Stark and Arthur Frost. They were the pinnacle of mankind and always sought to help others.
Furthermore, he couldn't tell how he was fortunate enough to become their student, yet he brought shame to their names. People expected more and more from him and he did everything in his power to help him, but this time he couldn't do that, unlike his mentors who were able to do something in even darkest time.
" It is just I feel helpless, guys. Look at Mr. Beck. He could fight them and protect others unlike me who could do nothing but swing around. I am not a hero like him."
Hearing his depressed tone made them realize how insignificant they were compared to Peter who always smiled. Even as his best friends they failed to notice how he was struggling under the mask as he tried his best.
" You know what. Let's just relax. We can pay for that stuff later and we can always defeat them. You need to chill."
Ned spoke calmly, believing it was time to rest. They were too absorbed into their roles as heroes while forgetting who they were in the end. They were just teenagers who didn't mature yet to shoulder the heaviness of the world.
" Yeah, let's relax. You can always entrust your role to others, Peter. We have allies and people will understand us."
MJ also persuaded Peter to relax for a moment after witnessing his meltdown. The three of them were here to relax, not to fight against some elemental creatures that older heroes had to deal with.
" Is that so?"
Peter fell into deep thought as he looked between his friends and his mask. Perhaps they were right to have a vacation after fighting. In the first place, he never truly rested after taking the mantle of the hero. He always fought in New York along with others to be a good neighbor.
" Maybe you are right. I can leave this to Mr. Beck and have some quality time with you. I know Mister Frost can understand me after his journey."
Peter decided to trust Mysterio who was protecting the people from the monster. He seemed to be a decent person like his elders, so he wanted to give his right to control the satellite to him.
Meanwhile somewhere near the church
" You are late. How many minutes do you think we have?"
The man grunted when he looked at the thin man with a cold face.
" Relax, everything is going according to the plan. As long as I can get that access to the satellite, we can become the true hero."
Mysterio laughed calmly, facing his gaze with a shrug. He wasn't afraid of this man because he knew this man couldn't harm himself and he had some dirty secrets behind the scene.
" Hasten it. We don't have much time before Arthur returns to the surface. The project is going well. If we can gain access to the central database of Eden, we can get info of the people and use it to improve ourselves."
The man replied with a serious face. He knew Eden had powerful AIs but they wouldn't bother paying attention to insignificant details, so he was trying to exploit this to create his own rule.
" Oh? So what kind of name do you have in your mind?"
Mysterio asked the man with interest while thinking how to get even more money from him.
" I will name it- Thunderbolts. We are aiming to replace them in the first place."
The man spoke lightly despite Mysterio's gaze. He was waiting for this moment through his life and now it was his chance to recreate the ideal government heroes who could potentially replace the Avengers.
In his opinion, the Avengers and the Guardians were uncontrollable and unstable elements under the pretext of heroes. They enjoyed the rights to destroy public items and created this image of government being bad.
Especially after the war of the gems, people's trust in the government had fallen sharply as they decided whether to migrate to countries that were under the protection of Eden like the UK.
