Peter looked at the TV with distress on his face, not knowing what to do because the people blamed Spiderman for the death of Mysterio. Someone managed to catch a video of him losing Mysterio and most people believed Spiderman killed Mysterio despite the plea of many.
His hands trembled from the fear of that day and he only blamed himself for his death. Fortunately, they didn't who he was but Peter couldn't continue like this. He felt his hero's career was in danger, so he decided to do something very stupid.
He went to Strange who was in the middle of preparing for the interdimensional barrier to keep things out from the planet.
" So, let me guess you want me to help you. Magic isn't omnipotent, Peter. It comes with a cost and we don't know what is the cost."
Strange was adamant about refusing his request out of fear that it would disrupt their space barrier since it was weakened considerably after the continuous abuse of it.
" Please, you can do something. At least let me forget this incident or make him return."
Peter wasn't a cold-hearted person, so he wanted to do something impossible like bringing the dead from the grave.
" Unfortunately, I am not allowed to do such a heinous act but I can simply help you. I will teach you how to live with guilt."
Strange pulled out a book from the space, and threw it to Peter who caught it with his two hands.
" Wounds don't disappear, Peter. We live with scars of the wound."
Strange knew this wasn't a good idea but he was ready to give him wings for the future for he had the purest heart among the heroes.
" I will teach you sorcery. You will become a sorcerer and a scientist. You will walk beyond friendly neighborhood Spiderman. You will become the ultimate hero who protects the order of the world. However, the weight of this power comes with the greatest responsibility and sadness."
Peter gulped when he heard this but when he recalled the face of Mysterio, he forgot about his hesitation. The world was moving and so did he.
" I will become a sorcerer if I can save all."
His voice expressed his will to change the world as Strange sighed with defeat. He knew Peter was bound to suffer in every universe because of his fate and this went the same for Peter.
He would face more powerful foes than Peter but this was his resolution. He grew up with the mentorship of the greatest heroes and adored their ways. Thus, he became one of them in the end.
" Don't regret your choice, child."
Strange closed his eyes, drawing runes on the air as the surroundings changed into Kamar Taj. He then picked up a piece of clothes from the drawer and gave it to him.
" You will train with me from now on. Don't think my teachings would be soft like Tony and Arthur's. I am a strict teacher."
Their lesson started from that moment and this would change Peter's fate forever.
Meanwhile in Eden.
Arthur returned home with a smile, looking at his children with a happy face. He thought it was worthwhile to visit Azeroth because he managed to show different things to them.
" Star, did something happen to the world in my absence?"
Arthur was sure that something would happen during his absence because he felt his world was cursed by someone.
" We received individuals that had been mutated through cosmic energy. They are currently in New York. As for the government movement, they are still supporting anti-mutant sentiment."
Arthur rubbed his chin while pulling out the reports. His eyes grew bigger when he saw the names of the mutants since he knew them.
" Reed Richards? How did that guy turn into a superhuman?"
Arthur felt a headache when he remembered Reed who always had complicated relationships with him and Tony. He was a rival to Arthur and a friend to Tony in the scientific field prior to his career change. He was the foremost engineer and physicist who denied the usage of space time technology.
He believed this could create a similar incident to nuclear bombs, so Arthur had a bad relationship with him.
