Reed looked at the giant capsule with a complicated face, not knowing what to do after experiencing his new life. For him being a hero was like an additional joy to his life and he was appreciated by everyone unlike before when he faced countless cold gazes.
" What are you waiting for? This is our end."
Despite his sharp words, Ben also felt the same after seeing people's happy faces. Although his fiancee was still waiting for him in his home, he couldn't forget other's faces filled with joy. Those faces gave him the strength to go out and face everyone without fear.
" I don't know, Ben. Do we truly need this? I think we can live as superhumans. Don't you agree with me?"
Ben bit his lips when he heard this, his heart was telling him no yet his mind was set to revert. Thus, he didn't hesitate anymore before entering the chamber.
Johnny and Susan watched from the side while Reed also made his decision. He didn't think the same as Ben, choosing to stay as he was now.
" We will also remain the same. However, without Ben can we still call ourselves as Fantastic 4?"
Reed remained silent at Johnny's question, and didn't give him any answer because he didn't have one. Perhaps this was their first challenge as a team.
Swoosh*
Ben emerged from the chamber, reverting back to his normal human form, but one could see there was no joy on his face. Ben didn't say much before taking his shirt up and leaving the building in silence.
He didn't want to admit that he would miss being a hero and their teammate but he made his choice. He turned his back against his team, leaving them hanging coldly.
Meanwhile in their tower.
Victor entered the tower with a calm face, knowing his plan was near its end. The final piece for his revenge was this cosmic-powered chamber that could help him to obtain the power that slept inside his body.
With that and magic, Victor was confident enough to take his country back from the bastards that robbed everything from him. He would make them pay 1000 times more painfully than he experienced in the past.
After all, he was the person who agreed with ' Eye for eye, blood for blood '. He wasn't a hero and he wasn't willing to be one. He was beyond a hero, he was a ruler who was born to change the order.
The door opened from his biometrics and he raised his head to see a big iron room that had lights around it. He gently touched the cold metal, feeling great since this was the end.
As long as he obtained this, everything would be over and no one would obstruct his movements even if they were the infamous Avengers or heroes from Eden.
" Victor, you are here. As you can see I finished building the machine."
Reed didn't deny that he saw something was off from him. However, he was his friend, so he ignored this feeling even if it was urging him to stop him.
" It is beautiful, Reed. So, you decided to remain as a superhuman. What was your feeling when you were a hero?"
Victor was using Reed for his goal but he was getting accustomed to his accompany and he felt closer to him. Potentially seeing him as his friend even though he despised such words.
" Hope. I felt hope, Victor. First I wanted to get back to being a human but like you said, I saw their faces."
Reed didn't hide what he felt and how he changed. His face remained the same from the start and he didn't even bother guessing Victor's surprise.
" I see. Good for you."
His voice went low while he remained in deep thoughts.
Meanwhile in Kamar Taj
Peter looked at his hand bewildered face because somehow he managed to use the magic that most of people do so.
" I am very surprised. You are far more talented than I thought. Perhaps you have a talent that can rival both Arthur and me."
Peter's ears turned red when he heard this, feeling embarrassed by generous praise but Strange wasn't joking at all.
