Chapter 49 Stranded

Wanda sat on the chair while listening to their story with a grim face but sadly there was nothing she could do except give them an idea.

She suggested that destroying Darkhold could potentially bring her back but it wasn't certain. She explained that Darkhold was practically impossible to destroy unless the wielder wanted to do that.

" So, we will find the original copy and seal it. To do that Chavez, you have to teleport us to his universe."

Arthur decided to gamble one last time to fix everything but he miscalculated one thing. Before leaving the dimension, evil Wanda tempered the space and time which made space more fragile.

Thus, they were sent to another dimension where they saw the destruction of two universes. Everything was in shambles, space and time were a mess while reality was slowly crumbling due to incursion which was created from dark arts.

" We have to go to their Sanctum."

Strange knew Sanctum would be the last place that would be standing amidst chaos and he was right. However, there was a little surprise for them.

A single man peered at them through his window while holding the book that damned his entire world. He wanted to destroy this thing so much but there was nothing he could do for he was already corrupted by its dark nature.

He lost his noble identity to this book, destroying everything that he held important in his life for its endless greed.

Strange raised his eyebrows when he heard the creak of the door while Chavez gulped with fear because she watched so many horror films that had similar plots like this and they all had the same ending. They would end up with the death of the main characters and they were the main characters of this story.

" Are you afraid, child? Do you think this is a horror story?"

Chavez didn't deny Arthur's statement while the latter laughed with a humorous look. With a single flip of his hand, the entire room lit up from his magic as they made their way up to the building.

" I would stop there if I were you. You don't belong here, outsider."

Arthur raised his head to look at evil Strange who was holding a cane in his hand. His calm eyes were directed to his face as he was threatening to him.

Our Strange didn't like that very much, playing a trick to trip him but evil Strange dismantled his magic.

" You reek of dark magic. Your vision is tainted by the arts that you very much despise."

Arthur didn't hide the fact that he felt dark magic from his body. His eyes could see how badly his soul was corrupted and how deep he fell. Perhaps, saving him was already too late, and killing him might be in the best interest if he wanted salvation from them.

" You can see my soul. That is new. Well, the multiverse is vast after all."

Evil Strange guessed there would be individuals who could do that but that didn't matter to him. All he wanted was to rest from this pale dream.

" Why would you cause this?"

Other Strange asked him with a cold tone, thinking of the words that Reed had said to him before. He could see why he was so cautious of him now.

" To save my world from destruction but in the process, I have destroyed both worlds. My friends, family, and Christine all of them died before my eyes while I dug myself here."

He placed his hand on the window, recalling the moments when he saw the death of his so-called family and friends. Each of them believed in him but he failed them in the end.

" So, you decided to kill us here as a sacrifice to restore your world. You need the book of Vishanti and our lives to fix it since you are eyeing it."

Our Strange could tell evil Strange was aiming for the boom because he was looking at it frequently and he didn't deny his remark either.

" Yes, you will be my last ordeal to save this place. Perhaps it is already too late but I have to try."

Evil Strange sighed as the space shrunk in the blink of an eye. The dark magic enshrouded the whole area, attempting to devour their flesh.
