[Chapter 50 – One crazy fool – part 4]

Inside the central hall of the villa where the humans gathered by Stark, just after the fight, the situation was looking rather chaotic.

Many were crouched giving their back to the polished white marble walls of the building. They probably were mourning their situation, as their peaceful daily lives had suddenly changed for the worse.

While a few more optimistic decided to form small groups to shoulder and comfort each other.

Amid the shouting and crying, in the middle of the hall there was one particular group that didn't appear nor scared or worried.

In particular one of them looked almost excited.

"Fox, are you that eager to encounter our savior? Please contain yourself, we can't give him a bad impression of us, can't we?"

The one that just talked was a 1,90 meters human male, he was wearing a long black cape with a large hood covering his face.

Furthermore he was wearing a black plague doctor mask. It was quite eye-catching, as all the details, from the glass openings for the eyes to its long curved beak, were adorned with gold stripes.

The other four of the group were all dressing in a similar fashion, being different from one another only by height and mask.

For example the one referred as Fox was wearing a Japanese kitsune mask, colored in white and red.

"I know Crow, I will calm myself down when the savior arrives. Let me enjoy the wait."

Even if Fox was openly demonstrating his joy through his cheerful attitude, all of them were quite excited deep inside.

Then one of them suddenly stepped inside of the circle they were making, spread open his arms and started to speak.

To help him gaining the people attention was not only the microphone he was using, but the bizarre yet creepy mask he was wearing.

It was a white mask covering the entirety of his face, painting a wide smile of sharp black teeth.

Its eyes where hollow black, as if staring into pure darkness. Flowing down his cheeks where two red tears.

"Everyone! Could I receive a moment of your attention please.

Good.

Now, I know that after having witnessed such cruel fight you must be afraid of such a scary creature. However I must inform you that there is no escape. You cannot flee, as you have witnessed this extraterrestrial form, better referred as an alien, is way stronger than us.

Also I would bet that trying to retaliate against him would lead you to a fate worse than death.

Quietly surrendering to him would be the best choice. Obey his orders to continue on living."

The hooded figure stopped his speech for a few seconds.

'Their shocked minds need time to process these information. Even if they seem more clear statements that shouldn't require time to be reflected upon.

However when it is your life that's on the line everything seems to be so much harder to chose about.

On the other hand we don't have much time until the savior arrives, the sacrifices need to be ready for his arrival.

I can't mess it up if I want him to notice us.'

"Well everybody, that's enough. We don't have many other alternatives anyway.

By the way, I wouldn't even attempt suicide if I was you. Since by failing in doing so you would probably be punished, while in case you managed to do so it simply be a dogs death. You would be quickly replaced by another one.

Remember, the world has changed, your 'rights' are worthless at the moment. Now the strong rules over the weak, literally.

Do as I say if you want to survive, otherwise you might as well rot in hell."

Quickly dark and grim faces to the place of the previous sobbing and crying ones.

They indeed had to acknowledge at least part of what the masked man said.

However this crow of people counted almost five hundred heads. It was simply impossible for all of them to agree with him.

"What a crazy bastard you are! Nobody in his right mind would even think to submitting to likes of that monster.

Everyone, you have just witnessed the cruelty of that creature. Furthermore it just murdered Captain Stark before your own eyes. That man saved your lives and took you here, he gave you a safe shelter. He did everything without asking anything in return. How can you know collaborate with his killer?! Aren't you ashamed of yourselves?"

Soon after similar comments exploded through the crowd. They were probably coming from those that had been saved from the parasites by the captain.

As the voices of the people kept rising, the masked man stepped up again.

"How can you be so sure that the captain real object was to simply save you? Did you know him well enough?

He surely wasn't a native of Earth as he possessed supernatural powers as well. Then he might as well come from the alien's same place.

From what we know he could have been a psychopath serial-killer. Perhaps as soon as he gained our trust he would have just killed us all.

This is the difference between you and me. I at least know something about what is currently happening. I am a member of the 'association'.

Probably only a few of you might have heard its name. But for those who recognize us should know that we prepared for this day, we preferred not to ignore the warning of the system.

I know what this thing is and how behave myself with him. Yes, him, since he actually is an high intelligent being, not a stupid animal or monster.

I repeat myself, if you want to survive you should follow me and keep quiet."

Silence reigned into the hall, as everyone was either in deep thinking or was too incredulous to think at all.

The silence didn't last long, as a 3,5 meters terrifying alien stepped inside of the hall, almost touching the ceiling.

In front of his presence all the adults started to gasp for air, as the incredible energy that was circulating through the foreign being put them under such pressure.

However for the few kids that were inside the hall was even worse, as they directly collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

"Ahhgh!! My eyes! It hurts"

This was the case of a young man that has been captivated by the luminescent armor covering Xeno's torso. As its source wasn't normal light but pure nano-energy concentrated, staring at it for too long would lead to temporary blindness.

Just now, everyone had finally understood the words behind the masked man. The gap between their existences was just that big.

Now they knew that even if all of them tried gang up on the alien, only defeat would have been the outcome.

Under the keen, scrutinizing senses of Xeno, he noticed bizarre group of five humans rushing toward him. He didn't perceive an ounce of nano-energy circulating through their bodies. As such he simply discarded them being a potential threat.

Yet something did pique his attention.

'Interesting! These humans are actually using some tools already. I doubt Stark personally gave them something so valuable already, as he only possessed one.

Even more they have one for each of them, more precisely its their mask...'

The five individuals stopped themselves in front of the giant Xeno. They looked at him as a cult would do to their idols and deities.

"Oh great Savior! We poor souls greet you with our outmost happiness and sincerity!

You can refer to me as Joker! Both me and my people are ready to serve you until our fragile bodies would abandon us!

Please accept us as your servants!"

Only sweet words came out of Joker mouth's.

'He's actually pleading to become a servants of mine?

It is not the welcome I was expecting to get here. It might have been a bit cumbersome to deal with them at the moment, as I have yet to recuperate all my energies.

Furthermore, now that I think about it I am feeling quite hungry, as to heal itself my body consumes actually physical stamina.

To have them submitting themselves like this seems surely quite convenient.

However this human didn't speak entirely the truth. I can feel it through my senses, they are feeling fear, trembling over my appearance.

Only these five seem to be truly happy because of my appearance.'

"I appreciate your efforts human. For you to even be using a translator to communicate in the universal language. I find you quite capable.

However if you really do intend to follow me, you better do not lie anymore in front of your master.

These aren't really your people, right?"

As the loud and strident voice echoed through the room, a heavy sensation engulfed the five robed men.
