Chapter 8

"Aren't you eating?" Terence asked

I just looked at him and then took a spoonful inside my mouth, I just don't want to raise another questions from him. Last day was kinda fun and comforting. The idiot won't leave my side yesterday.

-Flashback-

I sat quietly on the couch, while he was busy preparing something in my kitchen. Why did I even let him here?  We're not that close and I treat him as an acquaintance, so why the heck would he bother to keep me company today.

"Here" he handed me a glass of juice

"Apple?" I asked him.

"I know, it's your favorite" he proudly said as if I would praise him for that. I just shrugged my shoulders and turned on the TV.

"Let's watch a movie. What movie would you like?" I askes him.

"Just pick what you like. I can watch anything. I can even watch you all day?" he said and then smiled

I just gave him a weird look and focus my eyes on the TV. We were silent as we watch the movie. I don't have any other option, I'm an awkward speaker, so I just choose have a movie marathon for the entire day, that way I don't have to talk to him.

"You're not used to being with other people right?" he asked me. I just nod at him as an answer.

"Well, it's quite obvious, why is that?" he asked again

"I just like being alone. My dad and I are not close, and I can barely count my friends in my fingers, so I'm not that sociable" I explained him.

I flinched when an arm was wrapped around my shoulder. Then he pulled me closer and let me lie on his chest, before he sits comfortably on the couch. I tried to push him away but he won't budge.

"What the hell man, this is gay" I said

"It's fine. It's just the two of us. You don't need to be awkward when you're with me, you can trust me." He said as he gently pat my head. "Levi, allow yourself to have someone that you can lean on. You deserve someone too" he added

-End of Flashback-

He was with me the entire day,  and we were watching the whole day. We're not that close yet he acted like we were. I was back to my senses when I heard Terence voice.

"Are you sure you're fine? You're spacing out dude"

"I'm fine" I replied

"By the way, how's your visit to your psychiatrist? I'm sorry that I didn't .." he asked

"It's fine, Kai's with me" I answered before he could even finish

"Kai?  Who's that?" he asked me

I flinched when an arm was wrapped around my shoulders.

"Me!" the jerk cheerfully said

"Ow! You're the guy at the library last time, and you're the one who gave the apple" Terence said

"Yup, the one and only. Pleased to meet you" he said as he reached his hand to Terence.

"Pleasure to meet you too." He answered as he reached Kai's hand "I didn't know that Levi's close to someone other than me?" he added while giving me a teasing smile. I just glared at him in return .

"Well, we're pretty close, right?" Kai replied and looked at me, which caused me to lean back.

I removed his arm around my shoulder, which made him laugh. We're not close, idiot! The two of them started having conversation. I just looked down, to avoid my awkwardness. I suddenly felt out of place.

I flinched when a hand was placed above mine. I looked at Kai, and he just casually hide our hands under the table. I looked at Terence, but seems like he didn't noticed. I tried to pull my hand back, but he held it even tighter. He gently rub the surface of my hand using his thumb, that made me calm down.  I was back to my senses when Terence speak up.

"Then where should we hang out today?" he asked

"I think me and Levi will pass on that. We already have plans for today." Kai answered which made me look at him. When did we plan something?

"Really? Can I come then?" Terence asked

"Sorry, but it only needs to be the two of us" Kai replied before he picked up my things and drag me.

"Aw? But my girlfriend ditched me today for her friend's all girl party" Terence called out, but we are already far enough from him.

I looked at the guy who's smiling widely beside

"Since when did we plan for today's activity?" I asked him sarcastically as I snatched him my bag

"Last night. I planned everything last night, so that you won't have to." He answered as he freely wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I recently noticed, that this guy thinks we're the closest of friends for him to wrap his arm around my shoulder.

"And did you even consider what my answer to this plan of yours?" I said as I removed his arm around mine.

"No need, I'll still drag you away from him" He answered as he draped his arms back. I just let him do that, in defeat.

"Why would…!?" He immediately cut me out

"First, I don't want him around you and second, I know you want to be alone" he said as he opened the car door.

I hopped in, and remain quiet. Partly, he's right. I want to be alone.

"You being with me is not being alone" I said at him

"Well, I'm an exemption" He said while smiling at me. "Want me to help you with your seatbelt?" He asked as he leaned closer to me. I immediately pushed him away.

"I can do this!" I replied as I hurriedly fix my seatbelt

He just laughed before starting the engine. He drove quietly after that and didn't bother me anymore. He just stopped at a fast-food chain and ordered for a take out, and drove again.

"Where are you planning to take me?" I asked him as I looked at the takeout food.

"Somewhere quiet and beautiful" he replied

And when he said that I didn't expect him to take me at my building. Well, home is a quiet place.  I was about to press my floor number when he press the seventh floor, the top floor.

"Why are we going at the seventh floor?" I asked him

"Well, I tried searching if we have a place here that is on top of the entire city, but I cannot find one, so let's go in your building's rooftop. I'm sure your building has a rooftop, right?" he answered and smiled at me.

"I-I don't know. I've never been there" I answered as I looked away. Why am I suddenly feeling anxious?

When we arrived at the rooftop, I suddenly felt the cold breeze of the night. He noticed it immediately and gave me his jacket.

"I-I'm fine man" I answered, but I didn't dare to take it off.

"I know, I just want you to hold it" he smiled before he went into the corner and took a mat inside his bag.

I watched him prepare the area, and in a very strange way, it made me smile. When he looked back at me, I immediately hide away the smile on my face.

"Come,  sit here" he said as he patted the area beside him.

I sat beside him and looked at the sky. The sky's beautiful tonight. I have a much better view with my mom, than the window. Now I suddenly feel nostalgic. I bit my lower lip to stop my emotions.

"You can let it out you know" I flinched when he said that and looked at him. "Nobody's here with us. It's just you, me, and the stars." He said.

I looked down as I let the lump on my throat flow. I was crying, and he was there sitting and looking at the stars. He's just listening to me.
