Puffy Eyes

"Yes, I'm all right. Is there something wrong with me, Mrs. Rodriguez?" Daniella answered Mary's question as well as asked her a question.

"Your eyes are puffy, my dear. You've been crying, haven't you?" said Mary while gently touching Daniella's chin with the palm of her right hand.

"Really? My eyes are puffy?" said Daniella, pretending not to know. Margaret then brings her face closer to the girl's face to confirm what Mary said.

"Have you been crying, Daniella?" Margaret then asked her as she sat back in her chair after helping Mary wash her hands and get a glass of water for her. Margaret looks confused because of her best friend.

"No, of course not. Is that true, my eyes are really puffy? How come?" said Daniella, lying.

"There's no way your eyes have been constantly puffed up from last night, last night you said that your eyes were puffy because you cried in the toilet when you thought about the drama, but your eyes should be back to normal now, right? You must be crying again, don't lie," said Margaret.

"No, I haven't been crying, there is no reason for me to cry, right? Perhaps this is indeed the effect of my crying last night," said Daniella.

"But that is impossible." Margaret still rejects Daniella's excuse.
