"Yes, I'm all right. Is there something wrong with me, Mrs. Rodriguez?" Daniella answered Mary's question as well as asked her a question.
"Your eyes are puffy, my dear. You've been crying, haven't you?" said Mary while gently touching Daniella's chin with the palm of her right hand.
"Really? My eyes are puffy?" said Daniella, pretending not to know. Margaret then brings her face closer to the girl's face to confirm what Mary said.
"Have you been crying, Daniella?" Margaret then asked her as she sat back in her chair after helping Mary wash her hands and get a glass of water for her. Margaret looks confused because of her best friend.
"No, of course not. Is that true, my eyes are really puffy? How come?" said Daniella, lying.
"There's no way your eyes have been constantly puffed up from last night, last night you said that your eyes were puffy because you cried in the toilet when you thought about the drama, but your eyes should be back to normal now, right? You must be crying again, don't lie," said Margaret.
"No, I haven't been crying, there is no reason for me to cry, right? Perhaps this is indeed the effect of my crying last night," said Daniella.
"But that is impossible." Margaret still rejects Daniella's excuse.
"Unfortunately there is no more plausible explanation than that, I'm not lying, I haven't been crying." Meanwhile, Daniella still maintains her lie.
"Perhaps your eyes were bitten by an insect while you were sleeping, my dear. Is your room clean enough?" said Mary to Daniella.
"I clean my room twice every day, but yesterday I didn't do it at all because I woke up too late and immediately left again when I just got back, then I was also tired when I came back from the theatre, so I fell asleep last night without clean my room first," explained Daniella.
"Well, most likely there was an insect bites your eyes, you should clean your room as soon as you can," said Mary.
"I did that earlier, and there was an insect under my bed, but I threw it out already." Daniella again spoke lies.
"Oh, you can be sure that the insect is the suspect then," said Mary, Margaret and Daniella then laughed because of that, Mary also laughed a few moments later.
"But ... Mrs. Rodriguez, Margaret, do my eyes look ugly now?" Daniela asked Mary and Margaret while looking at them in turn.
"No, my dear, your eyes are still beautiful as usual, just look a little big, but not ugly at all, you are still beautiful as usual," Mary replied while giving a smile to Daniella.
"That's right. Calm down, tomorrow your eyes will definitely return to normal, but don't worry, surely no one will notice that your eyes are puffy because only those who pay close attention to them will find out, and I doubt that anyone other than me and Mrs. Rodriguez will pay close attention to your eyes, so what Mrs. Rodriguez said is true, you are still as beautiful as usual." Margaret also gave her answer and makes Daniella, who was initially looking at Mary, immediately turned to her.
"Hoooh, thank goodness," said Daniella as she breathed a sigh of relief.
"All right, we better eat our breakfast now, you two have to go to your respective workplaces right away, right? You better not be late just because we spend our breakfast by too much talking," said Mary, Margaret and Daniella then just chuckled before they finally started eating their breakfast.
When she started eating her breakfast, Daniella thinks about Susan again, her friend who can't get out of her mind if she doesn't see her one more time.
'Damn, even now I keep thinking about Susan, I really need to see her again tonight and so that things will be clear, I'll talk carefully with her about the meaning of her words, also about her existence for the past three months, Susan must have had some hidden meaning for her words that seem rambling, she was trying to tell me something,' thought Daniella.
