CHAPTER FOUR

AURORA

I managed to avoid those two jerks for the entire day, and just avoided them during detention despite their consistent staring, I had managed to avoid them for the time being but I couldn't keep this up forever, I wasn't going to spend the rest of my life hiding from two dingbats who weren't in the right frame of mind, quietly, I made it through the rest of the day until dinner time, and as usual Uncle and Aunt were squabbling over what was to be made for dinner when the familiar sound of the doorbell reached us, and as my Uncle and Aunt struggled to clean themselves up, I joined up with our butler Gerald to see who was at the door, the doorbell kept on ringing consistently throughout the whole mansion and I was getting frankly irritated, angrily I yanked the door and was about giving the speech of a lifetime when I saw my two least favourite people, yep you guessed right, Jared and Terrence, these two guys didn't seem to know when to back off, I opened my mouth to give them a taste of the harshest words of my vocabulary when a deep voice boomed

"Hello there Miss, you must be Aurora, My sons have told me much about you, we are your new neighbors."

I looked at the tall man who possessed Jared's hot looks but still retained Terrence's dark phenomena, in short he looked like a cross between hot surfer and a cold rugged biker, my head was spinning with all the hotness around me and that's when his words hit me, did he just say neighbors

"Huh" I say dumbly, while trying to regain my composure "excuse me sir, did you just say neighbors?!" I half yelled

"Hmm" he hummed "my sons were right, you are a handful"

I began to sputter the most interesting words I could use to describe his sons,when Gerald slapped a hand over my mouth and ushered them inside, And as usual Salem was upstairs trying to look pretty for the guys, Aunt and Uncle fussed over our guests like they were the cure to some disease, and they were absolutely loving it, and I just sat in a corner occasionally muttering things under my breath when the conversation was thrown at me, and I couldn't be more thankful for dinnertime, I ate silently and stuffed as much food as usual could into my mouth, while trying desperately to dodge the ongoing conversation, I was nearly done with my meal when Terrence opened his large mouth and said

"So Aurora, when were you going to tell them that we were a thing" he said while shoving a forkful of spaghetti down his throat

I wanted to shove that fork so hard into his balls and I made a mental not to do that someday, meanwhile I could see Salem shooting me daggers with her eyes, Aunt Sid and Uncle Tim were positively beaming

"Yeah, Aurora" Aunt said teasingly " when were you going to inform us about your current relationship development"

"Sorry, Aunt" I said "but I wasn't ready to tell people yet" I say in an innocent voice "but please excuse my boyfriend and I for a minute."

I all but dragged Terrence out into the living room, pushing him into the chair, I gave him my signature scowl

"My, my" he said smugly "you sure are in a rush to straddle me darling"

"You dick" I all but spat at him "you've done it, you've messed up now, why did you even come here, I mean of all the neighborhoods" I said pulling at my hair

He starts laughing hard and soon tears are streaming from his eyes, he wipes them off and leans into me

"We are gonna have lots of fun" he whispers into my ears and stalks off to join the rest of my family

QALOS

I could sense a dormant power that resided in her, just waiting to be broken open, but something was off, her power was being cloaked by something, I didn't know what type of power she concealed within herself, I had to find out, the suspense was killing me, I would find out what it was that she hid even if it meant breaking her, afterall there was a certain chance that I might just take her existence.

TERRENCE

As we said our goodbyes, I wondered if I had done the right thing, this was all too confusing, and for a minute there I just wanted to leave as soon as I could, and once the door was shut against us, Jared grabbed me by the scruff of my shirt and shoved me hard against a wall

"What the fuck did you just do?!" He said through gritted teeth

"I wasn't thinking" I said "I just blurted it out and I thought it would help"

"Help!" He half yelled, half laughed "you're messing this up just because you can't keep your hard put of her damn arse" he said shoving me deeper into the wall

"Leave him alone" dad said " this can prove fruitful, we can get closer to her, if you know what you are doing"

"Yeah" Jared scoffs "I hope you know what you are doing, cos I sure think you don't"

With that he walks off leaving dad and I alone

"This girl seems to have made an impression on you" dad said "but if she really is a rogue goddess, we will have to put her down son, I will suggest you do not get too attached to her"

He walks off, leaving me contemplating on my so fucked up life, what did I just do to myself.

UNKNOWN

The witch did a good job, I almost look presentable, as I look at my reflection in the water, I feel the joy that rumbles in me, I hide it and glare at the witch

"My master will be pleased with your work" I say "you will be highly rewarded"

She smiles and bows to me and leaves me to study myself, my reflection is very pleasing and alluring, the task won't be a trouble, master won't be displeased with me, never again will that happen
