In his eyes I saw pure defeat, one of our greatest fighters on his knees for a woman, I had never been bonded to anything in my life, I had never felt this, was the power this strong?!, how did Aurora ignore it?! 


"I'm sorry" I say " it's not my decision to make, she will face you when she is ready" 


"It hurts" he croaked like a child "does she not feel my pain" 


My mind reverts back to the king, I have not been I'm the light side for a while, I hopes he fares better than this 


"I'm sorry" I say through gritted teeth "she will start the academy tomorrow, the council has decided on that" 


His eyes glimmer with hope and he rises slowly onto his feet and his black eyes study me 


"Let her know that I love her and that she is right I am a jerk who has no control but I need her, let her know" his voice breaks " that I will be better for her" 


With that he walks off, leaving the entire council stunned
