12. RECONCILATION

I came back and my Mom had slept on the sofa, while doing her work on her laptop. I bring a quilt and spread out on her body. Then I tip toed to my room. I change into my nightgown and went to sleep. The next day I wake up and look at my reflection in the mirror. I looked scary, that I almost screamed.

I come downstairs after taking a bath, I was wearing all black. A full sleeve black top with black jeans and black boots, my hair were tied up in a messy bun. What was the point of dressing up, when the one who looked at me is no more? For a minute it really felt like Jake was standing there, looking at me with his usual smile.

"What are you wearing? You look better in colors." He said.

And when I blinked Jake wasn't there,

I don't know when my mind will be ready to accept that my Jake is not there anymore, he is gone, he won't come back, no matter what I do.

"Hannah?" My mom called me.

I descended downstairs.
