(Diana’s POV)
Plenty of tiring activities happened on Calli’s birthday. All of the games are usually related with drinking or sometimes truth or dares. I didn’t join them obviously but I think I have someone to take care of later. Auzia looks very wasted now. She’s already challenging everyone on being the fastest drinker of all.
“Hey Jacob, fix your girlfriend already. I don’t want to take care of something like that later. She might end up sleeping at the road later.” Jacob obeyed me since Kin also agreed with me. He convinced my wasted bestfriend for many times before that bitch followed him.
“Are we leaving now?” I covered my nose with a crumpled face as she spoke literally in front of me with all of her smelly breath. She’s reeking of alcohol and she’s obviously drunk based on her voice.
“Yes you’ll get your price from me tomorrow. Now walk.” I didn’t have the contract to be her care taker here. It’s goddamn embarrassing because almost all of the visitors are gawking at us! This drunken bitch is really lucky because she has a bestfriend like me.
“We should leave now. I already bid goodbye to Calli.” I glanced at Kin and he’s still in his usual cool pace holding his handkerchief. I didn’t even notice that he disappeared right after Jacob fetches my best friend. Maybe he called someone because I saw him putting back his phone in his pocket when I looked back.
“Is that so?” Jacob asked.
“Then we should go now. This drunken lady might create a situation here later if we will not hurry.” I entered the conversation. Jacob assisted his girlfriend, stumbling sometimes because of how naughty may bestfriend is. We trailed the way out of this mansion and look for Kin’s car. Thankfully, we spotted it right away so we didn’t waste any time taking this shitty friend of ours
“Jacob you’ll drive. I’m already tired.” I looked at Kin with a questioning look. Tired? Why is he tired?
Jacob just nodded at the latter then took the driver’s seat and fixed the seatbelt of Auzia. I have no choice but to sit at the back where the moody man is. As I entered, I was welcomed with his closed eyes, sleepy position and perfect aura. I’m not sure if he’s asleep or just taking a rest.
But why is he tired again? Unless if he did something that made him tired like this. Only one situation that came in my mind but I didn’t pry anymore. Maybe I am over thinking too.
I faced the two at the front and the guy is busy looking at the road, sometimes peeking at his girl right next to him and this drunk is peacefully sleeping now. I’m just thankful that she didn’t make a ruckus or blew up here in the car. It’s a big embarrassment for me since I was the one who called Kin to drive us here.
“Speed up Jacob.” I shifted my gaze at my seatmate and he’s still leaning at the window while his eyes are closed. But what did he say? Speed up?
“Why?” I asked unconsciously and out of my curiosity. No one’s chasing us though or… “Is there someone that chasing us?” I looked back to prove myself that I am wrong and I didn’t see any suspicious things or cars which made me more confused about him saying that we must speed up.
“Just speed up.” He ordered in his low and final voice. There’s really something wrong about it.
“Are you sick? Or…”
“My health doesn’t affect the speed of the car so stop asking some nonsense questions.” I was stunned with the way he spoke to me, like I was showered by cold water. He’s annoyed and that’s what I don’t understand. Is that because my bestfriend is drunk in his car?
“Stop imagining things Diana. He’s just tired. Just let him rest for a while.” Jacob cut the mood between us. Bipolar!
Jacob just speeds up until we reached our place. Good thing that there’s not security roaming around. Our speed is over the limit so it’s kind of scary but exciting, like I made a crime but I didn’t get caught.
As Jacob parked the car right in front of our boarding house, he immediately went out to carry Auzia to our room.
“I’m sorry in behalf of Kin, Diana. He’s just like that when he’s tired.” I fixed the bed of this drunk before Jacob put her and covered her with the blanket. “I hope you’ll not leave his side?” he state in question form.
“If there’s a deep reason for me to leave then I’ll leave.” Jacob froze from what he is doing and stared at me with his unreadable eyes. His eyes are filled with disappointments and concern but it’s just my assumption because I can’t really pinpoint what’s his true emotion right now.
“I hope he won’t do such thing to make you leave.” His voice became sad that I didn’t know why. Is it because he’s rooting with me and Kin?
“I should leave now.” He left our room staring at the ground. Just what the hell is the reason why that bipolar freak is not in the good mood a while ago? He’s like a girl with his monthly period attacking him.
(Clay’s POV)
As I left the birthday party of Calli, I went straight in driving Jiana home. Their house is quite near from our new place so it didn’t take me so long to come back. “Where are Kin and Jacob?” Flicke welcomed me with his tensed look.
“Maybe on their way. I already gave them the address.” I don’t want to tell the girls too about this. I’m sure they’ll doubt us since those two are not kindergarten that needs to be home at seven.
“What took them so long? I though you’ve fetched them.” Dew asked in a plain tone voice. Asking to ease his mind, I guess.
“They’re with their brides. It’ll be suspicious if I’ll just drag them from the party without a valid reason.” I answered before I relaxed myself in the sofa. This night will be tiring. Dark wizards already declared a war and I think they’re coming back. I know that we couldn’t fight just like how we fought back in Threa. This is Earth and everything that the earthling sees, they will believe it immediately and we should avoid being caught by civilians. Like what happened earlier.
---//Flashback //---
I didn’t bother to go there at the party even Jacob and Kin are there. We have no purpose there since our brides are not there anyway. Kin already instructed us to protect our brides so we are not seeing each other anymore.
“I’ll buy some coffee outside.” I uttered in case they wanted me to buy for them. Flicke is busy watching television show and I don’t have any interest with the show that he’s watching. Dew is also busy playing with his phone. I guess they want nothing so I sneak out.
It didn’t take me so long to reach the coffee shop that I know. Good thing and its 24 hours open.
“Good evening Sir.” A well dressed waitress greeted as I take my seat. “What’s your order Sir?”
“Cappuccino.” I answered back. She nod at me and left. A minute after, I am already smelling the aroma of what I ordered. I was about to taste the coffee when my body recognized a familiar energy. Shit! This isn’t a human energy.
Running, I went out in that coffee shop then stated the engine of my big bike and left. I didn’t mind my cappuccino back there since I don’t want to attend a funeral.
I crashed the big bike near at our garage and entered the house without minding whose inside. There I saw Flicke and Dew trying to exterminate a mutant and three creeps. What the hell are they doing here!
“Clay we need back up!” Flicke shouted then conjured a portal right on where I stand. A moment pass and I found myself in a dessert. “We need to kill them here.” Flicke uttered. I didn’t notice that he’s right on my side huh. Dew is also standing beside Flicke holding his invisible sword
“Let’s do it.” Dew initiated the attack dashing his sword at the mutant in out front.
---// End Of Flashback //---
“We’re here.” Three of us looked back when the door spit out the two with Kin in his fighting mood. “Woah, this house way too cool than our previous one.” Jacob is still Jacob. We’re now facing some problems but still he’s smiling like an idiot.
“Kin what’s the plan?” I asked the reason why he locked his gaze with me. I know he’s not in the mood right now since his eyebrows are meeting at the center as he entered the front door.
“Not just a plan to kill them but a plan to confirm if Stygian is really involve here or he’s just…”
“He’s involved here.” Kin cut Flicke.
“How did you know Kin?” Dew also joined the talk obviously got interested with the topic that we have. He even stopped playing his phone now.
“He’s their Lord. He’s the lord of the Dark Wizards. My mother sent me a message back in the party through a dream.” Four of us unconsciously look at each other with the same expression.
So Ms. Hera can communicate in that kind of way and it’s not just easy as that since earth is quite far from our world. “She told me about Stygian and she said he’s the lord of those wizards. And he’s our cousin.”
“Wait….WHAT!” Jacob already blurted like hell. I’m also stunned with that newsflash of Kin. But….”How come?” I couldn’t stop myself form asking too
“Because we are not just descendants of the gods but we are…their sons.” Double kill! Like what the fuck!
“What kind of story you’re trying to publish.” Flicke was about to throw a fit with Kin but apparently, Kin’s reflexes is way too much faster than the latter.
“I’m not, Flicke. I’m also confused with that fact. But my mother said that they decided to hide our identity of being a demigod for our protection and safety in Threa. That time when we we’re born. Threa is still in chaos because the goddess of death tried to sneak in to kill us but our fathers manage to protect us from her and they condemn her back to hell.” Kin explained which made Flicke understand him for most of the parts.
“So it means Stygian is a demigod too? A demigod of darkness to be specific and his father is a brother of our fathers?” Jacob asked in disgust. “Bud, we’re dealing with some horseshit! I mean, we’re cousins? What the hell!”
“He’s right Kin. We can’t deny the fact that he’s a demigod too.” I somewhat had the courage too to raise my voice and to show my opinion to him. We couldn’t just move right now without a proper plane because even we outnumbered our so called cousin, we can’t still deny the fact that he’s a demigod too.
“I know. That’s why I still haven’t come up a plan. I know they’re coming anytime.” He looked at us. “And I have something in my mind.”
(Someone’s POV)
After we left the palace of lord Stygian, we made our way to the underground dungeon of this kingdom. There we got our weapons and armors of our taste. Each of us has our own styles in fighting and we have also different weapons.
“Tie your hair sis. You might regret that late if Kin have the chance to cut that.” I shifted my gaze to that brainless asshole. He’s really full of himself and how dare he volunteered to eliminate the descendants by himself? Ha! Selfish fuck!
“It has nothing to do with your business brainless asshole.” I won’t mind if Kin will cut these precious hair of mine. As long as it’s him I won’t mind.
“It’ll be uncomfortable later. You know. This isn’t just a simple mission.” The other boring guy entered the bickering as if he is really interested in this fight. He’s very silent but I know he has good skills.
“He’s right. And you must hide your identity as long as you can since you are the only woman in this squad.” I rolled my eyes before facing our so called leader, even though we haven’t agreed for that.
Here we go again. He’s acting angelic again which is just his mask for him to get Diana to my beloved Kin. And well same as me. I just want to tear those two. She doesn’t deserve Kin and she never deserves that position.
“Come on we gotta go. We’ll be arriving in earth in midnight.” Our so called leader said in final before wearing his hood. I’m coming to kill all of you except for my love.
(Third Person’s POV)
Almost hitting the true midnight when the slaves of Stygian reached the earth in the location of the descendants’ house where the mutants and creeps attacked a while ago.
All of them effortlessly entered the mansion using their own black smoke ability. Though this is not as strong as Stygian’s because this is just a given magic to them and to state the fact that they are not gaining any energy from Stygian’s planet.
“Don’t make any noise.” Their leader, which is still not official, ordered whispering holding his sword.
All of them walked like they have a glass floor with them. They all notice that the house is so quiet and lights are also oddly off. “Something’s wrong.” One of them uttered. They was about to face their friend when they suddenly fall out of nowhere.
“Got it.” Satisfaction draws in Flicke’s eyes when he successfully dropped the four in the place where Clay, Dew and him killed the mutant and creeps a while ago.
“Come on. Get in.” he gestured his hand to enter his portal. As they got out on the other side of the portal, they are welcomed by the fiery and fury eyes of the four slaves.
They all ran towards the four, who came out in the portal a while ago, and aimed their weapons at them. Unluckily, they are taken aback when they dashed on nothing but air as Jacob transferred the four at the back in just a matter of seconds.
“How lucky. You’ll not gonna dodge the next.” One of the slaves conjured his own powers. Different variety of abilities welcomed the eyes of the descendants but still, they are just looking at them in their usual cool state of mind. There are smoke daggers floating beside of the tallest slaves of Stygian. There are also water-like smoke but its black, the one holds two smoke swords and the other who turns into some creature through smoke.
One of the slaves, holding two swords, attack suddenly but Dew came out of nowhere to block it. He’s holding his invisible sword and he manage to handle the fight himself.
“I can handle this.” Dew uttered before disappearing without any notice sending some confusions to the slave. It was not expected by the slave to encounter an invisible enemy. In a matter of time, the attacker was nowhere to be seen and as Dew emerges from his new position, the slave was already in the area where his teammates are.
“How dare you.” The woman squeaked in anger which made Jacob and Kin looked at each other
“She has familiar voice.” Jacob uttered with his mind
“I noticed too.” Kin answered then he draws his solid and liquid form swords. “But we must tie them up first.” He uttered before attacking.
They are all moving in almost a lightning speed because of their own potentials and abilities. Even the descendants noticed that the four are quite strong enough to make them tired.
“This won’t work if we’ll attack them individually.” Dew’s mind uttered. They refrain from talking through their mouth for them to have concentrations. This is one of their learning from their academy in Threa.
“I agree.” Clay supported the idea of Dew with his broken voice enduring the tiredness that he’s feeling right now “We should target the weaker ones before the others.”
“The one that has two swords?” four of the descendants stared at Jacob’s ridiculous idea. He mouthed ‘what’ at the four but the others didn’t pay any attention with that anymore. They all know that the one holding the two swords is the most strongest of the four slave and yet Jacob is nonchalantly suggesting his name.
“Go for the one that transforms. He’s defenseless.” Kin ordered with authority. The four nodded at him and attacked the man together.
Flicke made a portal where the man stands and the slave fell of near Clay’s position. Clay didn’t hesitate to lock him up using his light cube. “Bad luck?” Clay tried to annoy the latter and started narrowing the cube’s space.
“You bastards!” the other man shouted. He then releases daggers and its target is Clay.
Clay didn’t notice it and one of the daggers hit its arm causing for the light cube to disperse. As the man came out from the cube, he suddenly transformed into a giant smoke panther. It was about to crush Clay but Jacob manage to get him out of his near death.
“Fuck!” Clay groaned with pain while looking at his left hand. “Its pain isn’t just normal. I think it’s because the daggers we’re smoke. Goddamn it!” Jacob brought him at the back of Kin and Flicke for them to have covered.
“Bud, are you ok?” Dew came out of nowhere and he’s heading towards Jacob and Clay’s place.
“Yeah I think so. I just need time to cover this up.” He replied. Jacob supports him to sit.
“Jacob, switch places. I’ll take care of Clay.” Jacob didn’t hesitate to take orders from Kin anymore.
The three continued to fight with the slaves while Kin is the one who’s trying to help Clay in his wound.
“Sit still. I’ll stitch your wound.” Kin aimed his palm on Clay’s wound and it starting to heal but also takes time because it’s not healing instantly.
“Thanks bud.” Clay muttered after his wound healed properly.
On the other side, Stygian’s slaves are already exhausted with this fight. They couldn’t also look for a chance to gain the energy that they have already used because of Kin’s multiple and consecutive attacks.
“Take this!” the dagger smoke manipulator shouted in anger. He showered the five with his daggers to buy time for his three members to gain energy. Flicke on the other hand is struggling from catching all the daggers that was showered by their enemy. He then made a portal and all the daggers were transferred there.
“Take this asshole.” As Flicke uttered those words he conjured a portal in their front that is facing at the four slaves and there the daggers that were caught by Flicke spurted out of an instant.
“Dock!” the only women in the slaves shouted before making a water smoke that shields them front eh daggers. “This is bad.” She uttered before dispersing her powers.
“I just need to give Kin some bruises.” Their leader angrily said without considering his members thought and feelings.
Their leader attacked Kin in a lightning speed but Kin manage to block it with only his powers.
“You don’t deserve Diana dickhead. She’ll be mine.” The said leader of the slaves was about to dash a sword on Kin’s face but Kin was more agile and faster compared to him ending him up to be caught by the telekinesis potential of Kin. Kin, then throw the man to Flicke which the latter immediately conjured a portal and passed it to Jacob.
Jacob is quite excited with his part and he’s grinning like a kid on Christmas. He fired multiple punches and kicks on the man and he’s not even pausing for a millisecond. The slave has no chance too to escape because of Jacob’s insane speed.
“ARGHHHH!!!” the three slaves was about to rescue their beaten friend when Flicke, Clay and Dew interrupted them and fight with the three.
“Keep them occupied.” Kin ordered before approaching Jacob.
“Jacob!” Kin shouted while heading to Jacob’s position with the guy who’s bleeding all over his body. Jacob got the idea of Kin so he then kicks the guy in the direction of Kin. Without a word, Kin lift the man and throw effortlessly. The man fell on the face of his three companion and all of them already taste the pain of the battle that they started.
“Urgh!” one of the slaves groans. They also noticed that one of their mates isn’t responding already. “We need to leave now.” One of them uttered. No one complained about that suggestion and so they left using the potential of their women mate.
“Kin are we going to let them go like that?” Clay asked gritting his teeth. “After they gave me this?” he pointed his wound that he gained.
“We don’t need to follow them but we need to be prepared when they come back especially…” Kin looked at his back and as if on cue, four of them also shift their gaze. “…with our brides. I know he’s after them and not us.” All of them looked back and their eyes welcomed the sun rising up peacefully.
“Is this our sign of hope? Or it’s just a new day for us to be wary and paranoid?” Jacob uttered and sighed.
