Chapter 4

Well I am sure that my first day of school began by me falling on my butt. I know right. That is really frustrating. Either way I have an hour to get to school.

Yeah don't worry I didn't fall in school. I fell of my bed.

School over here started at 8:30. Thank god I got more time to sleep. But either way getting up at 7:30 wasn't healthy for me sometimes. I can get real cranky if I do not get proper sleep.

Today was my first day of school and I knew that I had to be presentable. So I got up and took bath and applied light make up. I was the kind of girl that was not a fan of make up. The only thing I put was mascara and eyeliner. And sometimes maybe lipgloss. I hated caking my face with make up.

I went over to my closet where Cassie had already picked clothes for my when I Skyped her last night. It was jeans , a tank top and a leather jacket. Yeah well I really love my leather jacket but I do not understand the need to wear it to school. Well Cassie said something about first impression. That girl and her fashion advice.

I went down to have breakfast. I saw that Mason was already there having his cereal. He broke the Sophie law yet again but I didn't bother anymore. I poured cereal for myself and ate it. As I finished I heard a horn outside the house.

Me and Mase went out to see Amelia waiting for us. Well yesterday after having lunch she offered to take me to school as I did not have a car yet.

And Mason was a freshman so we had to drop him off too.

"Hey Amelia"

"Hi Soph. Hi Mason. Well come on in"

We sat inside and it took about 10 minutes to get to school and we parked the car . I said my goodbye to Mase and I went inside the school along with Amelia.

Well as I entered I saw a few heads turn to me and then people started gossiping. I guess they were the daily gossipers. Maybe announcing everyone of my arrival. A new student.

Me and Amelia went to the reception to collect my schedule.

Well today I had only about 5 classes. My first period was calculus. Yes I know it sucks right. That too it's the first period. Then I had English and after that I had a free period. And then lunch . After that I had history. And then I had another free period today.

Me and Amelia had history together. Well I did not have first period with her so she dropped me off at class and left.

When I entered the class I was actually a little late as the teacher had already entered the class.

My calculus teacher was an old bald man. I could already say that I had a very boring year ahead of me.

"Well are you the new student" he asked suddenly.

"Ye-yes sir" I stuttered a bit as I was caught off guard.

"Class welcome Sophia Smith." He said.

"I am Mr Addam and I am your calculus teacher"

"You can sit on the empty seat."

I looked around the class the seats were arranged as they were 2 in a bench and there was only one bench empty. I thought maybe I did not have any partner and sat down.

I would have fallen asleep if not for the bell. I was so glad that it rang on time. I couldn't take his bullshit anymore.

I went out to see Amelia waiting for me cause I had to go to my locker as we did not have enough time to go in the morning.

Yeah that is because you both were gossiping like you haven't spoken in ages. The voice in my head said.

I found my locker and it wasn't far away from Amelia's. I opened it and put my books inside and took the books for the next class and left to go find my english class.

Well my stupid self declined the offer Amelia gave to walk me to my class and I decided that I would find it by myself. And we'll I am sure I am lost now. And this map was of no use either.

And I was already 10 minutes late. As I was walking looking at the map. I suddenly bumped into someone. See that always happens to me. How much more clumsy and stupid can I get. I seriously need to stop running into people.

But well I fell on my butt for the second time today. Wow congratulations me.

I looked up to see a guy looking at me with a worried expression on his face.

Looking at this guy I remembered the guy in the car last night. I had totally forgotten about him till now. How I wish I could actually see him. I want to know who he is. It's more of a curiosity.

My thoughts are interrupted by him calling out to me.

"Hey hey are you okay. Are you hurt." He asks.

" Uhh.. no it's fine I am just really lost and I did not look." I say

"Ohh. So are you the new student people are talking about" he asks

"Wow it's not even the second period and I am already famous" I mumbled under my breath. And I got up while he helped me.

"Okay so what class do you have now..." He trailed off.

"It's Sophia"

"I am Austin. Austin Hill. Or you can call me the hottest guy you have ever seen."

I was laughing in my head with an amused expression on my face and he did not seem to observe it and continued talking.

"Yeah well what class do you have now Sophia".

"I have english literature"

"Oh well consider yourself lucky because I have the same class and I 'The great Austin' will be escorting you to class" he said with a smirk on his face.

I snorted. He looked at me with an amusing look. And asked "what"

"Seriously 'The great Austin' . What are you a king or something."

He came closer to me and whispered in my ear.

"I am so much more than that".

"Wow your ego sure is big"

"Well yeah just like my--"

"No no. Don't you dare complete that sentence" I cut him off.

God he is such a flirt. And stupid.

"Okay so like can we go now I am sure we have missed 20 minutes of the class. We have like only 30 minutes" I asked getting impatient.

"Well come on milady" he said asking for me to hook my arms with his.

"Okay then" I said hooking my arms with his and followed him.

"Okay so let's be friends" he asks suddenly stopping.

He was a really nice person he was friendly and funny. And a very nice person to talk to but could I trust him??. Because back in India I had a very few friends. The only important one was Cassie. And trusting people was hard, but he didn't give me a reason not to. but don't they all act nice at the beginning

My eyes flickered from his hand to his face and I finally took it and shook it.

"Well yes we can" I said.

"So will you miss the class with me" he asks a hopeful expression in his face.

WAIT WHAT. did this guy just ask me to miss class with him.

"What" I whisper yell.

"I said miss with me. I was going to do that anyway but I made a new friend and I thought maybe she would like to join me." He said with a confident smirk on his face.

"What do you suppose we do then" I ask.

"I don't know just have some fun. Talk. Get to know each other" he said

"Okay " I agreed

Cause why not. I rarely made friends before and now maybe I can make good friends so let's see how it goes.

"Okay??" He says uncertainty clear in his voice.

"Come on let's go wherever you wanted to go" I say.

We go through the back doors of the school and walk a little. I then see a building come into view. It was old . It looked like it hadn't been used in a long time.

"Wait" I said.

"What" he asks

"You are not going to kill me are you". I asked a little scared.

He snorted

"Yeah and risk everything and go to jail. Sure" he said sarcastically

I still hadn't moved so he came back

"Sophia I am not going to kill you just trust me and come" he said.

How can I seriously trust a guy I just met especially when he is taking me to an abandoned building. I sure am going to die today. I am too trusting for my own good. Lands me in trouble all right.

After we went inside Austin switched on the lights and I saw that it was empty except for a couch in the corner. It looked so peaceful in here

" It's peaceful isnt it" Austin asked me.

"Yeah it is. " I said.

"Well me and my best friend come here whenever we want to miss classes." He said

"Why do you even miss the classes. Don't you like literature" I asked a little curious.

"The problem isn't the subject it's the teacher." He said.

"I don't need her help to have good grades I already do " he smirked.

" There really is no end to your ego. Is there?" I ask.

He laughed at that.

"Okay well tell me about yourself?" he asks.

At that we both started speaking. we got along really well. I spoke about my life in India and he did about his life here. He wasn't born here. He came here a few years after I left just like Amelia did.

We spoke about our love for books. I told him all about my fascination for romance novels. He shared the same passion as me in books. We had a lot of fun

We spent an hour there when we saw the time , we had like only 5 minutes for the lunch break.

We began walking towards the main building. As we entered we saw students running and we saw a small-well not so small- gathering of students.

"What going on" I asked Austin.

"I think it's a fight" Austin said.

Wait did he just say fight. Wow.

We moved closer and I saw a guy beating the shit out of another guy his back was facing me so I couldn't exactly see who it was.

Yeah like you could know who he is if you saw him. Did you just forget that this is your first day here. The voice in my head said

Okay someone seriously needs to stop it before he kills that guy. I looked around to see everyone enjoying the show. Wow are everyone like this. Is no one going to stop it.

"Austin don't you think someone should stop it"

He looked at me like I was joking.

"Girl Alex will kill anyone who tries. I know this as his best friend and John deserves it anyway"

Wait did he just say Alex. ohh god he did. And no one deserves this.

"Okay then I will take my chances" I said and walked away from Austin.

I went towards Alex and tried to call his name but he wouldn't budge. So I tried to stop him by holding his hand.

He finally turned towards me.

Ohh Myy God . Now I know why almost all the girls have slept with him. He was seriously THE most Handsome man I have ever laid eyes on. God he was beautiful. From his beautiful brown hair to his light brown eyes that shone in the sunlight to his perfect body. You could clearly see the muscles through his shirt. He was amazing.

His lips we pink and so kissable.

WAIT WHAT DID I JUST SAY. ohh god why did I just say that.

Just as I was thinking and looking into his eyes he turned around and left.

Wow I said to myself and tried to search for Austin but I couldn't find him. I figured he would be with Alex.

Everyone slowly left and as I was walking Amelia came up to me and she began talking. But I was still thinking about the guy with the beautiful brown eyes.
