Chapter Ninety Five

He places the box of pizza in between us on the bed.

"Eat." He mumbles as he rips a slice, the cheese dragging along with it.

Yum. I lick my lips and I tear away my own slice, resuming the paused episode.

"This is shit. Why do girls love watching shit like this?" He mutters.

"Why do guys have to be such jerks?" I counter.

"I wasn't talking about you." He mutters back.

"Oh, sure you weren't." I mumble sarcastically, through my teeth.

"Can't believe I dated you." He says quietly. My heart shatters at his words. Was I that bad?

"Me neither." I say and with the corner of my eye I see his eyes flash with hurt before they turn dark again and up goes his walls, before he goes back to being on his phone.

"You've changed." He says, after a while, as he tosses the empty box of pizza on the ground.

"I'd say the same for you." I say, getting up to go get the ice cream.

"Not as much as you. And where are you going?" He asks, getting up abruptly.
