She's Taken

"You didn't hear it? Then let me say it again, be my concubine." Huang Yin repeated gently.

"Yeah, I heard that rather clearly but why?" She asked. At the same time, Ferisha looked at Huang Yin with eyes agape as she was shocked.

"Is your wife okay with this?" Ferisha asked.

"Is there a reason to fall in love? The latter is incomprehensible and unfathomable, one thing for certain is that I want to be with you," he replied in a flirting manner. "Yes, she doesn't mind it. The reason? I don't know either, I do know she loves, however." He didn't forget to reply Ferisha's question.

"Then can you pay me a hundred million Yakhu?"

"For love, I would do everything."

He prepared this line a few moments ago so he answered her request without thinking but then, he realized what she just said and stared at Morgiana confusedly.

"Earlier, what did you just say? I have to pay one million?"

"No," she shook her head as she continued, "it's a hundred million. Should you pay me that much, I'm yours," she smiled brightly.

"How about you rob a bank instead?! I can bring back home a few slave girls with that kind of money!

"Heck, with that kind of money, I could buy ten spiritual qi stones or precious treasures."

Morgiana's smile remained and she didn't feel anything about rejecting becoming Huang Yin's concubine.

She then retracted her line of sight to Xu An. Her eyes filled with warmth and her smile became gentle as she remembered the man before her had saved her life, even prepared to risk his life.

Huang Yin who noticed this could only bitterly smile and said, "If I'm in your position, I would've fallen in love with him ten times over," Huang Yin joked and Morgiana giggled.

"One thing for certain is that feelings developed because of this often lead to a short relationship. We're just friends and will probably be that way until the end," she said as she stroked Xu An's hair gently.

Her smile gradually became a sorrowful one.

Huang Yin didn't criticize her actions as they had just met. He didn't want to be a busybody involved in everyone's matters. Should he do so, there would be no end to it, and that probably endangered him. The one that should do it was someone close to her.

"Don't be sad, Morgiana. You're pretty and he'll notice your feelings sooner or later!" Encouraged Ferisha.

"Thanks, but you should worry yourself the most. You are almost eighteen this year. Girls' this age should get married already."

"Shut up, shut up! I want to focus on Alchemy."

"Which Alchemy?" Asked Huang Yin confusedly.

"The one that makes herbs," replied Morgiana in Ferisha's stead.

"I see, well then. If you change your mind, don't hesitate to look for me in the Jade Cloud Sect. There will always be a place for you in my heart, Morgiana," he said in a flirty and melodious tone and ended his words with a wink before walking away to the exit.

Watching his back disappear from her vision, Morgiana said inwardly, What an interesting man, or maybe a boy?

Ferisha noticed her gaze and hurriedly blocked her vision from seeing Huang Yin as she spread her arms wide, "You mustn't give up!"

Morgiana forced out a smile, "I'm not."

Xu An was done checking his body but he got absorbed with the book in front of him, the content insanely intriguing and he couldn't stop. The cultivation knowledge was profound yet simple to understand. Xu An willed it and remembered what he learned.

Like a simple click of a button, all the things he had read appeared in his mind and it might take years or so for it to be forgotten.

Though, he stopped reading as he felt his mind got tired. He tilted to the back and collapsed with arms spread. Causing the floor to ripple like water.

Opening his eyes, he looked at the blue dome of the sky. Laying there with arms spread, it made him like a T.

Simply observing the blue sky, his tired mind eased greatly and random, distracting thoughts in his head instantly vanished without a trace.

He unknowingly entered a calm state as he kept watching the sky. He closed his eyes as his eyelids got heavier.

In the darkness, he suddenly felt warmth on his head. It was satisfyingly good and comfortable. If not for the fact he had to go to his little brother's engagement party. He rather stay here and enjoyed this.

He left the mindscape and return to reality. The first thing he saw was Morgiana looking at him worriedly with her hand on his hair.

"You're okay? Do I need to call a doctor?" Morgiana asked worriedly as she retracted her hand.

Xu An smiled and stood as he gave her a thumbs-up, "Yeah, I'm as perfect as a newborn baby!" He joked.

Morgiana stared intently at Xu An for a moment. Being stared at by beauty was undoubtedly uncomfortable and he couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

Morgiana shook her head, "No, there is nothing wrong. By the way, Xu An. Can you come with me for a second? I have something to tell you."

With an apologetic tone, he replied hurriedly, "I'm sorry, Morgiana. I have something to do, tell me next time we meet, alright?"

Right after that, he hastily left the pub and left the speechless Morgiana.

The latter was in a daze for a few seconds before pouting angrily, "At least help me clean this place."

Outside the pub, Xu An swept over his gaze as he was looking for someone and his gaze stopped as soon it landed on an old man with small stature.

Old Zhan was sitting on top of his horse as he leaned against the carriage, his eyes closed and arms crossed.

Came in his side, Xu An was about to open his mouth when abruptly old Zhan spoke, "I don't know you can be that stupid."

Next, old Zhan opened his eyes and turned his head to Xu An.

The latter pondered as he said, "She's my friend, old Zhan. There's no way I'm going to watch as she is about to be killed."

"Dumbass! There's someone from the Infantry! Do you think that kind of person is for display? That man will save her if you don't!"

Xu An's eyes were wide open as he said in shock, "Are you serious?"

"I'm serious," old Zhan replied with a nod.

"But he said he can kill me."

"That's an empty threat and you believe it. To think you could be so dumb."

Xu An's mouth twitched but then he let out a long sigh.

"Are you regretting it?" old Zhan asked.

"I'm not regretting it. In fact, I gain something from it."

"Being hated by a Grand Noble and former criminal with a bounty of five million?" Old Zhan speculated.

"No!" Xu An hurriedly replied.

Without waiting for him to utter anything, he creased his eyebrows in doubt as he asked, "But old Zhan, I didn't see you anywhere in the pub."

"Brat, are you indirectly insulting me for being short?" His voice filled with fury.

Xu An confused as to why he got that kind of conclusion before realizing what he just said.

His eyes instantly filled with panic and fear before old Zhan's terrifying, angry expression, he nervously and quickly denied his words as he waved his hands, "I'm not, old Zhan! You must believe me! That's right, your presence is thin that I didn't notice it."

But then he realized what he just said somehow didn't sound right. Before he knew it, he got a kick in the face and an angry voice of an old man, "You insolent child!"

Following that, Xu An was sent flying a few meters away before gradually stopping as his body slid on the ground with his face eating the dirt.

In an embarrassing position and being watched by the public, Xu An immediately got up to minimize the humiliation and yelled in fury, "What are you doing, you damn pip squeak?!"

He soon regretted his decision for saying that as he said inwardly, I should've not said that.

"Brat! You're going to die!"

Chasing after Xu An as though the latter had slept with his wife and daughter, Xu An ran to escape from his fury.

Funny enough, in his fury. Old Zhan wasn't aware that Xu An was running in a circle so he unknowingly chased him that way, and that results in them forming a ring.
