Hydra in the Making

It's been ten years since I first conceptualize my very own agency. I know my father is against it, me taking over a very masculine vision. But what he doesn't know won't hurt him right? Besides, it's one of my dreams to become a pioneer not just in the field of business.

I secretly heard the name guardians from one of my classmates in junior high. A bunch of boys are curious about this hidden organization.

As their student council president, it was my task to avoid the commotion and prevent students from loitering. "They're a bunch of cool guys. I heard they solve mysteries and do an action-pact adventures like a secret agent!`` His name is Angelo, the typical tech-geek looking nerd.

"Are you sure about that nerd?"

"Yes, I've been trying to gather more information about them. I even paid some private investigators." he was taken by the collar of his dress shirt by the thickheaded bully, Jethro.

"You're just making a fool of us! If that's really they're job, you wouldn't be breathing right now. I'm pretty sure that there'll be no information that'll be leaked that easily in that kind of organization." Before they even got mushy, I stepped in and asked them to go back to their classes. They respected me so much not just because I'm rich and beautiful but because I've already established my name in the history of Xavier High

Later that night, I knew my curiosity would take me somewhere.

Hiring some private investigators can cause a commotion. It can alarm them and everything will start to fall back. But being a Dela Vega is something that I should be proud of, that's when I used my privileges.

I move at my own pace. It's dangerous, but it fuels my adrenaline that I have never felt before. I expect both the positive and negative consequences, the moment I proceed to my plan. I was the one who followed their tracks. Learning those kinds of self defense is my advantage to get through without anyone's interference.

Until I succeeded, well, eventually. I thought they'd just ignore me, but the former head guardian noticed me. They are the first descendants, they called themselves "guardians" and they're looking for their successors.

The challenges and trials that I've faced are no joke, just to be worthy of this seat. I worked my ass off, day and night, no rest just to get in this organization that I longed for, for so long.

"A penny for your thoughts, Hime?" Knight's mocking voice awakened me from my thoughts. "Shut the hell up, knight."

My attention is clearly not fully in the conversation that's happening in front of me. Half of my brain was reminiscing the past, meanwhile, half of it is trying to focus on the present predicament. "The coven is already making its move, are you not even a little bit concerned about what will happen in your organization, Hime Dela Vega?" a challenging remark given by Heiress.

"I clearly didn't ask for your opinion, Heiress. I can handle this one." annoyance laced my tone. "It's not wrong to sometimes ask for help, Dela Vega." Prince butted in.

"Prince, believe me, I know. I just don't want to take unnecessary actions and risk this organization's secrecy." Knight raised his left hand to draw our attention to him. "If that's that, then what's your plan?"

"I don't spill teas and beans, knight. I want you to enjoy watching me from afar." I smirked. Of course, I knew what was coming, his annoying gaze. He is the most attention seeker that I knew of, between all the guardians. Even though he's wearing a mask, it didn't hide the darkness lurking in his eyes, much more darker than Anne's. His darkness is like the night, reticent but calming.

"Just make sure I'll be entertained, Hime." He dismissed the meeting and immediately left the headquarters.

This headquarters is definitely different from my organization. First, the security in this place is so absurd. Even satellites can't detect this place, well what can you even expect?

One message was received by my special messaging arm band which also doubles as a watch. "It's time."

IT'S EXACTLY nine in the evening, all the employees I've invited are all here to hear my grand plan.

"Are you sure Anne's safe and sound?" Gloria nodded in response. Leo, Gloria and a little bit of back ups were the only one I invited for this plan. Even though it's against Leo's will to become a part of this plan, he still did it, all for his beloved.

"I really didn't make a mistake in gauging the love that he has for Anne." He didn't speak but rather moved silently just according to our agreement.

We need to have an open mind for we still have a lot of bait to lay. Even though Anne's not here, I know that she'll understand if she'll just become open minded and learn not to take everything at heart.

Out of all us, Leo has the most sacrifices to make.

Time flew quickly. It's now twelve midnight. There is only a little time left until the start of the show that'll reveal all the players. I do have some suspicions to possible traitors inside my very own garden. There's still a little more traps waiting for them to take.

Like an eagle in the sky, I'll watch and catch all the snakes pestering my precious nest.

"WHAT A NICE MORNING." I thought as I sipped from my perfectly brewed chamomile tea. There are many things that I wanted to welcome, and a smile creeped onto my face when one of them showed up to take this bait.

I removed my wrap that does not really cover my skimpy two-piece and took a dive unto my pool. "It's a good thing the sun's not hurting my eyes today."

"The world is so deceiving, no matter how pretty things can be, there's still quite mystery surrounding it." I let myself float and flooded myself with the roar of the water in my ears.

I caught a floater and layed on it. I also reached for my hat to protect my face from the harmful rays of the sun. "The sun can be beautiful, but it can also ruin you with it's shine."

I expect something to happen, I counted my thoughts. One, two… "Miss, your secretary is on the phone."

"Mister Chua was looking for you. He forced me to give him your home address." a smirk was now evident on my face. "I see, It's okay."

"My apologies, ma'am."

"No worries."

I was about to end the call, but before I even pushed the red button, I already heard the end tone. I closed my eyes in annoyance. "You don't get to end the call before I do." I breathed slowly to make myself calm. "It's a great day, today, I'll let it slide just for today."

After a moment, I swam towards the corner of my pool and pushed myself up to the stone pavers. Linda, one of the maids in this mansion, brought me a towel to dry myself.

Still quite damp, I walked inside the mansion and pushed the button of the lift. Minutes later, the lift came and brought me to the 3rd floor. I went inside my walk-in closet. I browse around the room while trying to decide what outfit will be the most appropriate to this special occasion.

I chose a puff sleeved opal colored dress that hugged my waist perfectly and the skirt cascade elegantly hips down at the top of my knees. It's quite simple but it sure made me look like Aphrodite.

I heard the voice of the head guard through the intercom. "Good morning, Madame, A certain guy named Patrick Chua is here at the gate looking for you, Ma'am."

"Let him in."

"Copy that"

I checked myself in the mirror and I'm satisfied with how I looked.

"Hi!" I welcomed him inside. The maids bow their heads and Chua gives them a shy smile. "What do you want? Juice? biscuits?" He kissed the side of my lips.

"Anything will do, thank you." The servants obliged and left us alone. "How's your trip?" He scratched the back of his head. "Thank God, I didn't lose myself. It's kinda a long ride and the way's too tricky."

"Thanks for the effort."

"Anything for you, babe."

I noticed something odd. "You changed your perfume?" He's a bit confused and paused for a while. "I didn't why? Do I smell bad?"

"No, your scent is a bit weird. But you still smell great." He seems to have been relieved at my response. "Yeah, just you wait."

"Can you do a house tour?" I said yes and he's satisfied. As usual, he eats in small portions. "Let's go?" I eyed him teasingly. "Someone's excited?"

"Well, it's my first time to visit your humble abode, of course I'll cherish this moment." He kissed my temple. "Will I even disappoint you?" We both laughed at my weak response.

We first visited the garden area. "This is our garden. My mom was an avid fan of gardening, she loved the scent of her flowers so much."

"Was?" I gave him a light smile. "Yes, She's now in heaven." He mouthed sorry and I told him that it's fine. It was beginning to become awkward, so I changed the subject. "Let's go to the pool area, shall we?" I walked first and he followed.

"This is my second favorite spot. I love how water calms me. Some people say I'm a mermaid in my past life." He's shaking his head. "Really, can you show me your tails, then?" I stuck my tongue. He looks flushed.

"Let's go inside?" I chuckled. I know he's shy with the sudden change of mood. We entered the lift and stopped at the second floor. "This is our entertainment room."

"That's a lot of instruments!" He was amazed. "My mother loves to see me play them." He nodded. "How about that playroom?" I smiled, remembering my childhood.

"This is where I play with some of my friends." I don't want him to know that I didn't have those great childhood memories. "I see."

"What's next here?"

"Oh, the whole third floor consists of a master bedroom and of course.. mine."

"I think that's too private. So, I understand if you won't let me see them." I grinned. "Why have you wondered what my room looks like?" He turned away from my playful gaze.

"Kathryn!" oh, he's now in a warning tone. I zipped my mouth like giddy-Gloria. "So, basically this is the whole Dela Vega mansion. I wonder where your father is." my playful vibes dropped. "He's on vacation in any other country. He loves to travel a lot."

"Oh, okay. Um, can I use your bathroom?"

"Just walk straight ahead."

"Thanks babe, wait for me." I motioned him to go and he left. I checked my wristwatch and sighed. What a long, tiresome day.

We talked for a few more hours before he decided to go home. I even insisted that he can rest here, but he refused. He just told me that It's not a good image to have a man inside your room at night. "What a conservative, hahaha." He even lectured me that I should be more conservative with my actions since I'm a lady. I just laughed him off.

I'm now laying in my bed with a smile plastered on my face. Moments later, I felt exhausted so I decided to close my eyes and let sleep swallow me whole.
