"Why are you glaring at me? Are you going to kill me now that you know why I got close to you?" Kyrah challenged her.

She knew that the woman was trying to infuriate her. She was not going to give her the satisfaction of seeing her enraged. Instead, she let out a breath.

"No matter what your intention was, you helped me when I needed it. So, thank you." She didn't wait for Kyrah to respond before she left.

Darius was still waiting for her in the garden when she got there, looking curious about what had just happened.

"I spoke to her." She said without waiting for him to ask.

"Did you solve your matter?" He inquired, to which she merely nodded. She studied his gaze for anything that would reveal just what was going on. When she got none, she was disappointed. Even then, she was aware that she and Darius had never discussed anything about letting each other in on personal matters, so she decided to drop it.
