She looked up at him in shock. "Darius, is there anything about him that you know, which I don't?"

"Many things. I will explain them later, okay?" He promised. She didn't believe a word he was saying. What if he was buying himself time to be able to come up with a convincing lie?

However, she didn't have much choice so she remained silent.

She was, but she shook her head. She didn't want to waste a single second. However, he rode them to the nearest cave and stopped.

It must have been inhabited before, since there was a stack of wood at the side, and bedding left behind. He looked around for a chair to sit on and found one, which he made her sit on.

"Wait here. I'll go and hunt for something to eat." He instructed.

She grabbed his hand before he could leave. "I want to go with you."
