The curse of the sun (2)

One thousand years ago.

"Kyrah! Over here." A woman waved over to Kyrah, who was trying to get coconuts on a tree. The young goddess arranged her collection in a basket and gave them to the elderly man who had asked for them, then she rushed over to the woman.

"Do you need me for anything?" She asked sweetly.

The woman dabbed on Kyrah's forehead with a handkerchief to get the sweat off. "Could you help me with my babies while I get some water from the borehole?" Realizing that she had just sent Kyrah on the third errand today and it was only noon, she was embarrassed. "Actually, never mind. They should be asleep soon."

"Don't worry. Go ahead." Kyrah sent her off with a smile and entered the house, where she picked up the two-year-old girls who were getting scared by their mother's departure.
