"No matter what he wanted, I gave it to him." Kyrah continued, trying not to feel hurt as she recounted what happened. It had been an entire millennium, and she had fallen in love with a human at some point, but it still shattered her heart to think about it. "I was not supposed to help him and I knew this. I just couldn't watch him suffer."

"Another demon is dead." A demon whispered to Archer. He was sitting at the side of the lake with her when he came over with the bad news. When he saw Kyrah's expression, he guessed that she had overheard and was nervous.

"It's okay." Archer assured him. "What happened to them?"

The demon explained that they had been caught by demon hunters, who threw weapons at them. The attacked demons were now on the verge of death, and one of them had already lost his life.

Kyrah listened as the demon told Archer that he needed to be careful for his disguise to never be revealed.
