A spell

While they had breakfast, Ylvia came over with the awoken Destrian in her arms, who was fussy from not seeing his parents as soon as he woke up.

"There's my favorite son," Darius remarked as he took the young prince from his grandmother.

"That's your only son." Delaney retaliated, and he laughed.

"I know. That's the point." He held Destrian high in the air and spun him. While Delaney tried to figure out what he meant, Ylvia immediately understood him. He didn't want to lose his wife again, so he didn't want to have any other child.

"Mother, I need you to do something for me." Delaney spoke to Ylvia, forgetting about Darius's words that she couldn't comprehend.

"Of course. What do you need?"

"Your Majesties, someone is here for you." Sianna announced as she entered the dining room.

"Who is it?" Darius asked as he readied himself to go, while Delaney used the chance to quickly tell Ylvia what needed to be done.
