"What do you mean? What's wrong with him?" She was frantic. As soon as she asked, she realized the more time she spent asking Elifur for answers, the worse the situation was for Darius. Elifur enjoyed making her guess more than he did helping her.

So she found Ylvia. "We need to go."

Ylvia was talking to a woman when Delaney grabbed her, so she hesitated. "I was finding out how to break the love potion Loretta is under.

That was important too, Delaney concluded. If Loretta was only helping Cassius because she was under a love potion, it might help to take away one of Cassius's people. "Okay, figure that out fast and I'll find the fastest path to The Frozen Lily. Darius needs us—or so Elifur says."

Ylvia didn't know what to say about that. There was a chance Elifur was using it as an excuse to get away and Darius was alright, but there was also an equal chance he was telling the truth. If only the cunning fox were more predictable.
