"I don't know, mother." She couldn't believe she was even considering it.

There was a chance Cassius would indeed back down once he got what he wanted, but he was not the one who determined whether or not the war happened. He was just a pawn in the goddess's game. Perhaps it didn't matter what he did, Itrusia would be attacked nonetheless. If the aim was revenge, it didn't matter what they did.

Still, it was something to think about.

"Maybe if we get Elifur to tell us whether or not it will help, I can think about it." She said in the end. When she picked up Destrian, she added, "And we have to make sure you will not get stuck marrying a woman you didn't choose to be with."
