The beat-up

Two days ago, when Sierra shut herself in her room thinking about a suitable solution for the problem at hand, her father visited Elijah while he was alone in the house. Margaret was taken for the check-up in the hospital and he stayed alone. He didn't feel like going to school after what happened; he was also thinking on the suitable course of actions to not make matters worse.

Elijah was sitting on the stool of the window and Sebastien, her father, just broke in using an all-pass key. At first, Elijah stared at him without moving, observing the man and anticipating his next actions. After a series of dark thoughts, he put down his cigarette and stood up. He remembered the gossips and his face were contorted with panic and shame.
