Chapter 8: Fight

"HAHAHA," Qi Chaoxing also started to laugh, "You want to do what now? You do realise with what you're saying now could land you in prison."

"Yeah, so? I'm just trying to talk some sense into everyone. You all weren't really planning on living under the Heavenly Realm's control for the rest of your worthless lives? That person was just trying to take back what was rightfully ours, but now you all are treating them like some sort of criminal," the orange haired kid replied back.

"You two keep quiet and stop trying to pick a fight in my class," Mr. Zhang said in an irritated tone, "You, what's your name?" he asked looking at the orange kid.

"Me? I am Xie Zhixin," the student replied with a small smirk.

"Well, Xie Zhixin, thanks to you and Miss Qi's disruptive behaviour, you both landed yourselves in detention this afternoon," Mr. Zhang stated in his usual bored tone.

"But that's not fair! I was just trying to make him understand the consequences of his words!" Qi Chaoxing argued.

"The both of you were disrupting the class by bickering and arguing with each other, therefore you both got detention," Mr. Zhang said matter-of-factly.

Qi Chaoxing kept quiet and didn't argue any further. Xie Zhixin looked like he couldn't care any less about getting detention.

Mr. Zhang sighed and said, "Listen, I know most of you will feel the same way as Xie Zhixin, but there is nothing we can do about it. The Heavenly Officials might not accept us, but at least they aren't mistreating us. Everyone has been living peacefully, so why should the selfish desires of one person ruin that for everyone else. Just think about it, if we chose to follow that person's actions, war would break out. Hundreds of people would die and for what? Just for some stupid power over the Demon Realm? I'm not sure about you, but that doesn't seem worth it to me."

The class was left speechless by Mr. Zhang's lecture. A few of them nodded their heads in agreement, while others looked down in shame. Xie Zhixin just rolled his eyes and scoffed.

Mr. Zhang said, "I'm sure you all know about the siege that took place 16 years ago," everyone nodded their heads. How could they not know? That was the biggest siege in history to take place!

Mr. Zhang continued, "So you should also know about all the chaos and damage it caused. Sure enough the Heavenly Realm got what they wanted, but they also suffered a huge loss due to it. They didn't just lose half of their soldiers and people, but also their King and Queen. The whole Heavenly and Demon Realm nearly got destroyed in the process as well. It took nearly a decade to rebuild everything, so shouldn't we use that to learn from our mistakes?"

The bell then started to ring. "Okay everyone, that's it for today's class. I hope you all learnt and understood today's lesson. You may be dismissed," Mr. Zhang said as everyone already started to pack up all their things.

Wei Jinhai, Mo Dingbang and Qi Chaoxing were one of the first ones to leave. "So what do we have now?" Wei Jinhai asked.

"I think we have a free period now, then after that it's the Physical Training class," Qi Chaoxing answered as they walked down the halls to look for an empty room to kill time in.

"I still can't believe you got detention on your first day," Mo Dingbang said in incredulity.

Qi Chaoxing huffed and said, "It was all that carrot head's fault. He was the one that started it!"

"Carrot head?" Wei Jinhai asked while trying to stifle back a laugh.

"Yeah, his hair is orange and pointy like a carrot," Qi Chaoxing scowled, "Hmph, I still think it's unfair that I got detention."

Suddenly, someone walking towards them bashed their shoulder into Wei Jinhai, causing him to fall onto the floor.

"Whoops, sorry didnt see you there," the person jeered from above Wei Jinhai.

Wei Jinhai looked up to see Jin Fu and two other guys sniggering at him. "Are you really that bored or did you just miss me?" Wei Jinhai asked in a mocking way.

Jin Fu's face turned into a scowl, "As if anyone would miss you."

Wei Jinhai slowly started to get up, "Well then, I guess you really must not have anything better to do."

"I just wasn't able to see you from all the way down there," Jin Fu sniggered, "You're like what? 5'2? You're basically shorter than a girl!" Jin Fu and his two lackeys started to laugh uncontrollably.

Wei Jinhai just rolled his eyes. He was used to people making fun of his height by now. "Ouch, that really hurt you know," Wei Jinhai replied sounding mock offended.

"Probably not as much as knowing that you weren't even wanted," Jin Fu snapped back.

That caught Wei Jinhai off guard. He clenched his fist and said through gritted teeth, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Jin Fu smirked, "Oh, nothing. Just the fact that you were abandoned by your parents."

This time, Mo Dingbang glared at him and stepped forward, but Wei Jinhai stopped him before he could do anything, "I'm fine. I can handle it."

Wei Jinhai also shot a glare towards Jin Fu, "Why are you bringing up my family background now?"

"Because I find it quite amusing actually. Who would have thought that someone from the Spiritual Realm would be stupid enough to actually marry one of you scum. Your parents must have regretted it terribly. I don't blame them. Imagine having to live and look at your kind every day. I too, would have probably packed up and-" Jin Fu was cut off by Wei Jinhai's fist hitting him square in the face. Jin Fu fell back due to the impact, a little bit of blood trickling down his nose.

Jin Fu wiped his nose and said, "You're so dead you half and half bastard."

Jin Fu swung a punch towards Wei Jinhai, but was easily dodged. Wei Jinhai tried to return the punch, but was also dodged.

Wei Jinhai then ran forward and tackled Jin Fu to the ground. He successfully landed another punch on Jin Fu's face. The other two that was with Jin Fu saw that their friend was currently getting beaten, so one of them rushed forward and punched Wei Jinhai. "Hey! That's three against one! Don't tell me you're actually afraid of losing," Wei Jinhai yelled while smirking.

Jin Fu snorted, "As if I'd ever lose to you," he then used this opportunity to push Wei Jinhai off of him to gain the upper hand. The three of them closed in on Wei Jinhai and started throwing punches and some kicks.

Mo Dingbang was fuming when he saw this and also ran forward to throw a punch at one of the guys. It went from being a normal squabble, to a huge group fight. A lot of students started gathering around to watch the fight. Some were even making bets to see which group was going to win.

"My bet's going on the two demons. Man, they know how to throw a punch! I almost feel sorry for the other three," someone said as a few students nodded in agreement.

The fight was going on for a long time. So far they all looked terrible. They had lots of big bruises and cuts on their faces, but none of them looked like they were about to give up.

Next moment, a tall figure started walking towards the scene. As he walked passed all the spectators, they started to whisper to one another. "What's he doing? Why is he walking towards the fight?" someone from the crowd asked.

"Maybe he's trying to stop it? I mean, isn't one of the guys fighting his friend?" someone else replied.

Wei Jinhai was currently being pinned to the floor with one of the guys on top of him, punching him non-stop. As the guy raised his fist again, Wei Jinhai closed his eyes and waited for the impact and pain to flood through his face. He waited, but it never came.

Wei Jinhai opened his eyes just in time to see someone punch the guy that was pinning him. At first Wei Jinhai thought it was Mo Dingbang, but it wasn't. This person had pale blonde hair and was slightly shorter than Mo Dingbang.

Wei Jinhai quickly used this chance to knock the guy off of him. Now he could get a better look at whoever helped him. When the person turned around, Wei Jinhai saw that it was...Chen Liwei?

Wei Jinhai was confused to why the Prince, Chen Liwei, would actually help him. Nether the less, he still had to thank him. "Hey, thanks for the he-" Wei Jinhai got cut off by the loud sound of scuffling shoes.

Wei Jinhai looked to where it was coming from and saw that all the students that were watching, were now bolting in the other direction.

Wei Jinhai was confused by their behaviour, but a loud voice booming through the hall answered his confusion. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?"
