Fast Inaction

Morning came once again, a dark and Gloomy Morning. Catherine is brushing the strokes on her canvass, almost finishing the Flora. Her stomach is growling loudly, begging her to eat, but in the Meantime she Ignores it, waiting for lunch to start her meal of the day. Her gun is strapped to her waist just incase the UFBO's arrive again. Despite her being focused she is still anxious about what the next minutes could bring. Life became unpredictable for her since this happened, a wave of constant worrying arrives to her from time to time.

After a few strokes of her brush, she has done it. The flora is finished and she is delighted. She stared at it for a while Imagining if the flora on her actual wedding would be this Pretty. She stared for a while in her Painting, getting engulfed by her Imagination. It's their wedding and she's there, what UFBO'S? That never happened. Everybody from her friends to her family is smiling in awe of her wedding. She couldn't be any Happier holding the hand of her groom just a few Minutes away from telling their vows. The Violin played as the wedding became more Emotional swaying her guests to shed a tear. The man she loves the most is smiling back at her admiring the events that are unfolding around them. She too is happy, waiting for the life ahead of her and her soon to be husband. As much as she wants to stay in pretend, she snapped back to reality, remembering where she truly is. She got up for the meantime thinking that it's better to stop painting for the day.

After she opened the door of the garage, revealing her living room, she has never felt more empty and bored. As she glanced on the living room, she realized how few she has to do. Sitting and Painting, watching T.V., browsing her phone and anything else her house could offer. A house might be a place where one can be comfortable but it is certainly not a place to stay in for a long time, atleast for her. Since she has nothing else to do. She lied down on her sofa, browsing through her Phone. She thought about what she would do to pass the day and she remembered all the Disaster Prepping videos that she had downloaded. There isn't much to do and what is a better act to do than learning?

She scrolled through it for a while and picked the video titled, "What not to do during a Disaster". It was packed with most of the things that she can expect from the title alone, Do not be too kind, make sure you have the needed supply and to make sure you can hide it from everybody else. She watched some for a while and in just a few hours of watching she felt that she has learned a lot already. A growing satisfaction is rising from her, in her mind she assures herself that she is ready for anything. She looked at the time and realized it's past 12 o'clock already. As she went to the kitchen finding what she could eat. Her phone started vibrating from her Pocket and she grabbed it. From there a Government Message appeared and it Instructed people to wait for an Important News Announcement later on. Upon seeing it she isn't really to bothered to check it out. After seeing what the National Guard did the previous day she doesn't hope that the Announcement would be important, but still, her mind still urges her to at least hear what it is.

After a mild meal which is enough to get through the day, she sat down at her sofa once again. Waiting for the announcement on the Channel 8 News. She pondered what the announcement could be and as much of a bad Impression the National Guard gave, she is still hoping it would be a bit of Good News. As she sat there on her sofa waiting for the Announcement, she heard a knock on her door. She is surprised to hear such a sound in a time like this. But she isn't worried since they announced themselves as the National Guard. She got up from the sofa and swayed her curtains near the door, revealing three Armed men with a full Military Gear. She opened the door and they Politely asked if they can come in and use her Bathroom. As much as she dislikes them, she really doesn't have an excuse to not let them. They went inside with their heavy footsteps coming inside the house as well. Catherine guided them to the Bathroom downstairs. One went in while the other two waited outside. Even though she felt a bit uncomfortable with the Presence of three strangers in her house, she assured herself that there is nothing to worry about.

One of the soldiers noticed that her TV is tuned in to a News Channel and he asked if she is waiting for the Announcement too. She said yes and she asked them if they have any clue what it is. They replied no and they are waiting what it is as well. There a lot questions that Catherine wanted to ask, but she refused to ask any of it thinking that they're not going to answer it anyways. The three Men performed their Business and as the last one of them got out of the Bathroom, the announcement begun to start. Catherine and the Three soldiers turned their head to the TV waiting for the Anchor to give the Announcement. After a while of standing and waiting, the Anchor finally gave the Big News. The government has ordered the Military to Prepare for their Mobilization and in a few days time they will be ordered to once and for all find the nesting grounds of the UFBO'S and Hopefully prevent them from Multiplying even further. While the announcement is being played one of the Soldiers exclaimed, "Nesting Grounds?!", Gaining Catherine's Attention.

"Nesting Grounds? You guys didn't know about that?", Catherine asked

"No Mam, this is the first time we heard it.", The solder replied.

"Aren't you suppose know this?", Catherine asked.

"Well to be quite honest Mam, we aren't really given updates everyday, that's reserved for the Military itself." One of the other Soldiers replied.

"But you're National Guard, aren't you a Part of it?", Catherine asked

"We might be but in the Eyes of the Government we're just the Peacekeeping Unit, atleast it is for the Past few Days.", The soldier replied.

Catherine is bewildered to know that they also don't know what is happening from time to time. She is know even more worried about her safety, thinking to herself that her own safety is in her hands. She turned her attention again to the TV in which the Anchor announced that further announcements will be made and that the PSA will be Tomorrow Afternoon so everyone should tune to it and Mark that Time for Tomorrow. The three soldiers said their thanks and Goodbyes to Catherine thanking her for her Generosity. Catherine tried to offer them food or drinks but they declined telling her she did enough already. They made their way to the door with Catherine following behind. As the two soldiers made their way Outside and into the Humvee, one of them stayed behind and turned to Catherine. The soldier thanked her again and before he left, he told Catherine to always keep "that" by her side while pointing at her Gun. She smiled and said thanks, the soldier thanked her Once again and left.

Honestly she doesn't know if that meant something or if the Soldier is just reminding her to stay safe. She tried not to mind it but she couldn't help but feel that they actually know more than she and everybody else could ever know. She grabbed her phone with the intention of calling her father, but she stopped herself. Calming herself down and assuring herself that its just a Reminder. To ease the tension that she is feeling. She decided to message Joseph asking him if she can call him. It took a while for him to respond but after a while he did. Joseph asked to give him a few Minutes and he will just move to a more silent spot. After presumably finding one, he called her and Catherine couldn't be more Happy. A cheery and happy voice is very Noticeable within Catherine. Joseph as well is very delighted to hear her voice again. The two couple were once again "truly" connected and both parties couldn't ask for more.
