Further Instructions

Early in the Morning Catherine is outside falling in line with other people. The sun is almost up and it is peaking through some of the houses infront of them. All the while they are patiently waiting for the Supplies being handed out to them by the National Guard. The air outside is cold and unforgiving, something Catherine didn't realize with the comfort of her heater in her Home, doubled by her not wearing clothes to heat herself up. There are about 20 people infront of her before she can get her supplies as well. At about 5am, she was woken up by the announcement of the National Guard. They announced that they are giving out supplies in about 30 minutes, so they urged those who need it to go outside and Fall in line, they urged everyone to hurry while the coast is clear for UFBOs. As she heard the announcement, she didn't bother getting up. She thought to herself that she has the supplies she needed, especially the food that she needs. But while she was about to fall back into slumber, she remembered about her Medical supply. She remembered how she lacked bandages and Alcohol, or what she would call "The necessary supplies".

She immediately got up from her bed and fixed herself up a little, just not to like she is fresh from the bed. She went downstairs and grabbed her keys, because she was hurrying up, she forgot about the cold outside, and as she opened the door, she was greeted by a wave of cold breeze. She retreated back inside and looked around for her coat, she hurriedly grabbed it not wanting to fall too back in the line. She might've grabbed the coat but with her basically wearing her Pajamas, she could still feel the cold around her. She didn't mind it and she just went to the truck giving out the rations which is a few houses away from her. Despite the cold almost being unbearable to her, she managed to get there and now there she is, falling in line waiting for her turn. She atleast spent a good 10 minutes before the people infront of her are only 20 people. As she sighs letting out a cloud of white smoke from her mouth, she could only wish this would be over soon. It's not only the cold she is worried about, but also her vulnerability. If the UFBO's show up at this time, she knows that she might have a slight chance to survive their onslaught.

After a few minutes of waiting and standing around, it was eventually her turn. The soldier standing above the truck infront of her, handed her supplies in a box before saying, "Next Please". She walked a few inches away from the truck and the line to get enough room for herself to open her box. Upon opening it, she felt a stream of guilt flow through her. It was already what she had in her house, although there are Medical supplies like bandages and a few medicine. She still felt that she didn't really need most of it. Near her is a Mother and her daughter who has just also gotten their box supplies. The little girl is wearing a red coat with white buttons and Matching ear muffs, that she thought looked cute on her. The little girl is urging her mother to open up their box, but the Mother is hesitant not to. But the little girl kept begging and begging until eventually her Mother gave up and agreed. As she laid down their box on the cold white pavement, she looked left and right, as if she's anxious that anyone might come near her. Her daughter is delighted and you can see the excitement in her eyes. They rummaged through the box looking for something and in only a while they stopped with the little girl's face looking Disappointed. She overheard the Mother saying sorry and that maybe they aren't giving out candies. She picked up her box and they went on their way.

As Catherine saw this, she felt a bit bad for the little girl, but remembering that she saw one chocolate bar in her box, she knew exactly what she has to do. She run up to the Mother and Daughter who is a few feet away from her, trying to get their attention. She called up to them, but they don't seem to realize that she is calling them. It is only when she got close to them that they realize she was trying to get her attention. As Catherine stopped infront of them, she panted for a while, with a smile in her face, before handing out the Chocolate bar to the Mother. She explained that she heard her Daughter wanting sweets and she saw she has a Chocolate bar so she figured it's best to give it to her. At first the mother refused and she told her that it's okay and she doesn't need to give it to them. But Catherine insisted telling her that it's okay and that she doesn't really like Chocolate. The Mother although a bit hesitant, eventually accepted the Chocolate bar while Urging her Daughter to say Thank you.

"Thank you very Much, my Daughter has been craving sweets these Past days", The mother told Catherine.

"Well she's lucky that I don't like it and that I'm losing weight. I'm Catherine by the way, it's a Pleasure to meet you", Catherine replied.

"It's a Pleasure to meet you too, I'm Joanne and this is my Daughter Emily".

"Hello, Emilllyyy, it's Nice to meet you" Catherine said in an almost childish and Innocent voice.

"It's nice to-too meet you thro. You look really pretty", Emily replied.

Catherine smiled while talking to the child, delighted by its Innocence and warm smile gazing back to her. Catherine replied to her that her Mother is prettier than her, but Emily shook her head in disagreement insisting that she's prettier. She watches as the child finally opens the Chocolate bar, happy and giggling that she finally ate what she wanted.

"How you've been holding up these Past days?", Catherine asked

"Well it's been rough to be honest, with all these going around and with my Husband trapped in the Airport, it's....kind of hard to Manage.", Joanne replied.

"I'm sorry to hear that", Catherine replied.

"It's okay, we've been talking almost day to day and in the meantime I think we got ourselves covered. How about you? How are you these Past days?" Joanne asked

"I'm fine, although my Fiancee is trapped in a Tire shop aswell. But besides that I think I'm doing okay." Catherine replied, with a semi-fake smile resonating from her face.

"Oh, a Fiancee? Congratulations!", Joanne said in an almost High pitched, Warm and Happy voice.

"Thank you! Any tips on my upcoming marriage?" Catherine asked.

"Well, expect work*chuckles*, lots of it, but don't worry you're gonna like it.", Joanne replied with a wink on her face.

"Well I guess I'll find out soon enough.", Catherine replied

You know, despite it being hard sometimes, I always end up telling myself from time to time that despite everything, I would always rather have them." Joanne said as she looked at her Daughter with a warm smile and a smile of awe on her face.

"Well it's been nice knowing you, I guess its best to.....stay indoors, you guys take care now okay?" Catherine said

"You too and Thanks again for the Chocolate bar" Joanne replied.

"No problem, I'm glad I can make her smile" Catherine replied

"By the way, after all this and the wedding is Planned, do invite me. I'll cook you the best Meal at the Reception" Joanne jokingly said.

"Don't worry, I sure will" Catherine replied.

They then parted ways with Joanne and Emily going leftwards into a curved road in which they will soon be hidden by the Houses. As the mother and daughter continued to walk away from her, Catherine watched them from afar. She stopped for a while, thinking to herself if she will ever experience the warmth and joy of having her own. Holding it in her arms admiring him or her as time passes by. She stood there for a while, with her eyes looking down, thinking to herself what might lie ahead, and if she could at least get a glimpse of what she saw this Morning. Eventually she continued walking, until she reached her home, with a sigh of relief, feeling the warmth and safety in her home.

She brought the supplies she was given to the kitchen with her coat still on. She checked the box once again, trying to see if she missed something. As she removed the contents one by one seeing what she can leave at the box. She collected a few fruits inside, and she thought it would be better if she left it at the fridge, most of it are Canned foods and the Bandages and medicine which she now realize is both a cold medicine and a Paracetamol. Was put in inside her make shift first AID kit which she keeps in her Living room incase she has to flee her house. After checking all the box's contents and arranging them, as well as finally getting her coat off. She lied down on her sofa and she remembered about the PSA which is upcoming these afternoon. Since it's still early she figured that she would paint, starting on the Gazebo she had on mind.

Time passed, and there was only 10 Minutes left before the PSA, Catherine is on the News Channel waiting for the PSA to come. In the meantime the News Anchor is relaying other news in a fast but concise manner, most of which are related to the ongoing Crisis. Although her eyes are locked on to the screen of the T.V., she's isn't really paying attention. Despite it being UFBO related most of which are common knowledge already or just updates about the conditions of the different states. 5 minutes left and it still felt like a long wait for her. She grabbed her phone instead checking her Messages, making sure she didn't miss anything and luckily she didn't. She stayed on it for a while, trying to pass the 5 minutes left before the PSA. Eventually the News Anchor announced that the PSA will start soon and urged everyone to stand by. Suddenly the Presidential Seal Flashed on the screen with a Stand by caption below it. It didn't start for a while and there was only the seal and the stand by sound but eventually it did and it Stated the Following in a slow and Robotic voice:

"THIS MESSAGE IS BY THE REQUEST OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. THIS MESSAGE IS BY THE REQUEST OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.

Greetings My Fellow Americans! Today is truly a time of both Trials and fear. As we all know in the past few days our Country has been part of an Ongoing Global Crisis. Creatures from the sky appeared and wrecked havoc not only in our Country, but also certain parts of the Globe, putting all Nations on edge and fear that this Phenomenon might reach their sovereign soil as well. This unfortunate and sudden event has truly put all of us all in a great deal of hardships. With the Public staying indoors to avoid the Menace Invading our Country, their Livelihoods have been harmed and tarnished. As well as all the other activities done outside. And with this ongoing crisis many fear that it could lead to worse Paths, than what we are seeing and experiencing right now. But at this Hour I urged All Americans to stay Strong and Steadfast in the Trial and Challenge that we are Experiencing at this time. because through Careful Research and study we have gained Valuable Information in regards to dealing with the Menace and Phenomenon we are dealing today. The Public is urged to pay close attention to the following messages as it will not be repeated and can be vital in the Survival of an Individual. The following message and instructions that will be broadcasted in this message are obtained via Research, Field testing and Investigation. The Public is once again urged to listen closely to the following message.

At around 5:30am EST(Eastern Standard Time), October 16, 2021, Is the first ever recorded Appearance of the UFBO's in American soil. While certain countries appeared to have Documented an earlier appearance in their Sovereign soil, experts at NASA, The U.S. Air force and NORAD. Have confirmed that October 16, 2021 5:30am EST is the exact time that the UFBO's have entered American Soil. Their Origin is still unknown, but there are different Data gathered that shows us their Nature and how they Act.

1. They are both Airborne and Land based creatures, with atleast 3 different Airborne species and 2 Land based species. For the Airborne species the Classified 3 species are the following:

a) UFBO-1 or Bats are huge grey Humanoid creatures with Bat like wings Averaging to be 7 meters wide. They have no lower half and their bodies are only from the head to the Torso. Autopsy reports suggested that they are a human subspecies, as well as all the other UFBO'S. They seem to have the Organs and other components that make up a Normal Human, with the exception of it having no eyes heavily relying on smell and hearing, its wings which grew from its back and it's skin which appears to be leathery in nature. They also have sharp teeth which is similar to the structure of a Human teeth with the exception of it sharp edges which it uses to bite and gnaw at its Victims. It is also reported that they would take and lift their victim into the air, gnawing and preying on them while airborne.

b) UFBO-2 or the Superior is regarded as one of the most Dangerous class of UFBO's. This creatures seems to have the best of both Worlds. It is Airborne and Land based as well, thanks to its Body possessing feet and legs that make it walk around and Fly at the same time. But isn't its ability to fly and walk that makes it dangerous, but it sharp claws, teeth and speed. Its wings are on Average 9 meters long making it faster than UFBO-1. Due to its huge wing span it doesn't grow tired easily when flying and it is reported to have attacked low flying Planes and Objects. If ever encountered while flying a Helicopter, Plane or any other Flying Vehicles. The Pilot is urged to climb its Altitude since UFB0-2's are only capable of flying 15,000 feet in the air. Once an Object is higher than 15,000 feet, it will stop its Pursuit. Another Dangerous trait this creature has is its teeth and nails. It's nails are reported to be able to slice through doors and even a Kevlar body armor. It's nails are still subject to research since it is believed that it is a Material never before seen. It's teeth are mainly use for incapacitating and harming it's Victims and it's seen to only kill and harm, but not eat it's victims unlike other UFBO class.

c) UFBO-3 or Swarmers are small versions of UFBO-1's. They always seem to travel in packs with atleast 4 or 5 in each pack. In some rare cases there are reported to be 8 in each pack. They can range from being 4 to 5 feet tall only, with wings similar to UFBO-1 and 2. In observations done to these creatures. They seem to serve all the UFBO's both airborne and Land based. Their tactic in hunting or serving other UFBO's is by as the name Suggest, swarming them but not killing them or harming them. Mostly blocking their path or distracting them so any other UFBO's nearby can either kill them or prey on them. Once another UFBO killed, preyed or harmed their Target it is only then that they will feast on the Victim. They also posses sharp teeth and claws, but its significantly less harmful than the other UFBO's. While it may not attack you upon notice they're swarming nature and Ability is still as Dangerous as the other UFBO's.

The Land based UFBO's are still classified as an Unidentified Flying Biological Objects, due to the Public being used to the term. And by changing it, authorities are Concerned it might cause Confusion.

d) UFBO-4 or Ghouls are land based UFBO's which stand at about 6 feet tall. They are nicknamed ghouls due to their facial features. As all other UFBO's, they don't have eyes and they rely on their senses to move about. It has the same sharp teeth as the Other UFBO's Which locks onto its victims. It's claws are short and sharp, but not enough to cause great harm. They both travel in packs and alone. The distinct feature that these UFBO's have are it's nose. Unlike the other UFBO's with noses similar to humans, it's structure and function is different. It's nose is embedded on it's face with it's holes almost looking curved-like Vertically. Their smell is very Powerful, stronger than some Animals like wolves and Dogs. It's main asset is its nose, which it uses to hunt. Although it makes it easier for them. It is also their weakness, since an over abundance of smell in it's Vicinity can hinder it. Making them both useless and vulnerable. Besides it's sense of smell, the greatest danger that this UFBO posses is it's teeth and it's ability to lock it's bite making way for its companions or itself to incapacitate and weaken its prey.

e) UFBO-5 or The smiling man are Peculiar creatures since their faces seem to be locked on to a Permanent smile. In land based classification, it is regarded as the most Dangerous. It's way of hunting is by running on all Fours making it as fast as UFBO-2. It would've been the most Dangerous out all the 5, due to its claws almost being similar to UFBO-2, but it's permanent "smile" prevents it's teeth from properly causing great harm. The greatest danger this UFBO posses is it's claws and speed which can outrun humans easily. Although there are Several reports of its "Laughing", no observation has been able to prove that claim.

2. Their weakness is still unknown. There are several attempts to kill them or incapacitate them, but all efforts have failed. When they are shot down they do not seem to die, but rather it just slows them down. Close combat or Melee Combat, is not advised as these creatures can Overpower you in an instant.

3. Staying indoors and staying Quiet is the best way to avoid these creature. Whenever you see that you are in the presence of UFBO-1,2,3,4 and 5 it is best to remain quiet and stay indoors. If you are ever in a Situation in which you are Outside and all the while Encounter UFBO's-1,3, 4 and 5. Get into a structure with working doors. As they cannot break down doors and will give up their Pursuit once they realize it is Hopeless. If ever chased by. UFBO-2, going inside isn't recommended, despite it's huge wing span, not allowing it to go inside home sized doors, unless the door is bigger than it's wing Span. It's strength to break down doors, can invite other UFBO's inside. The best way to evade UFBO-2's pursuit is to go to a Narrow and tight Space, although it can still make you Vulnerable to UFBO-3.

Lastly, while further research is being done. The Public is urged to stay indoors at all times. Unless the National Guard announces that they are giving out Supplies. DON'T BE A HERO and do as the AUTHORITY TELLS YOU. FOLLOW THE GUIDLINES, and when in doubt and you have a Firearm it's best to turn it to yourselves and shoot your Mother, Father and yourself :). "

The screen suddenly turned to static after the once robotic voice turned into a deep and almost demonic voice. The once informative and Long PSA has took a Dark turn. Catherine doesn't know what happened or if what she just watched was the real one. The only image and sound in the T.V. for a while is grey static that came after the PSA. Eventually it turned back to the News channel and the Anchor apologized stating that it was hacking that Happened. He still stated that the Information given before the END of the Broadcast is still factual. He stated that there will be an Investigation on what just happened and he once again Apologized for the Interruption.

Catherine just sat frozen still, not knowing what to think of not only the Hacking, but all the Information that was relayed to them. Everything started to sound and look a lot more bleak than before. With her knowing what she is dealing with she's not even sure if she can make it. The weight and gravity of the Situation is dawning on her, getting heavier by the Minute. She turned off the T.V. and rushed upstairs with her Gun on her waist almost falling down. She tries to relax herself and she just keeps on repeating to herself that it's going to be alright. She laid down in Bed relaxing herself and thinking of her loved ones at the same time. She wished that all of them Joseph, her Family and even Jonathan would just be in the same house and not far away from each other, but in the end all she can really wish for is that they see each other again.
