Merchant

"The total is 76 dirac coins," Troy said to a woman.

"Ok, here it is," The woman then gave the coins.

After making sure the amount of the coins was right, he put some monsters' hides out of his inventory and gave them to the woman.

After doing that, a system notification window appeared in front of him.

Troy was surprised and happy but decided to wait for his customer to go before looking at it.

"Can we become friends? You know, I am usually pretty busy. It's really annoying to come out just because I run out of the materials. I will give you extra coins if you can deliver my order to my shop. How is it?" The woman asked.

"Then it is a deal. However, maybe I can not deliver them right away. So, please order them before the materials are running out," Troy agreed right away. Actually, two of his customers before also had asked him to facilitate them with goods delivery if they needed it.

After exchanging each other's contacts, the woman left. She was his 14th customer today. His debut as a businessman in Desolate World could be said striking. Ten NPCs and four production players had bought his products. At first, he thought he needed at least two days to achieve his target.

If he was in the city maybe it was not something to be proud of. However, he was in a village that was still in its infancy. Maybe the people who had bought to him almost all of the craftsmen around Ivy Cape Village, or at least half of them.

Moreover, four players and three NPCs asked for his contract. It meant he already had 7 regulars and he got a net profit around 200 dirac coins. It looked small if compared to his initial capital. However, as he looked at his previous income that was only around 10 dirac coins per day, it was like heaven and earth. And he still had goods with a value of around 150 dirac coins, so his whole profit was around 350 dirac coins. He was glad had taken this choice.

Then he checked the system notification.

[Congratulations, you have achieved hidden achievement by selling at least 10 kinds of good to 10 NPCs profitably]

[You can change your job to merchant]

[Warning! After changing your job, you won't be able to change to another job in the game except by resetting your character.]

[Do you want to change your job to be a merchant?]

'So, not only has to sell 10 kinds of goods, but it also needs to sell to at least 10 NPCs. The post was not entirely correct. However, I should thank him, to show the path,' Troy said in his heart.

"Yes," Troy answered.

His body then glowed for a while. The people around the area were shocked by what was happening to Troy. However, maybe because they thought nothing bad had happened to Troy, they didn't approach him.

Troy, who was immersed in the process of job changing, didn't realize that he had become the center of attention. He then checked his attribute.

Troy was surprised that his previous job's trait and skill were still there. It made him gloomy, 'If I know it would become like this, I should change job after level up to level 5. At least I will get one more warrior skill.

And then, it seems my attribute is still the same as the warrior. How can that be possible?

It seems I need to find out myself about the changes.'

Because it was still the early operation of Desolate World, the information about the game was still scarce. New information about the game was found out by the players one by one every day. Of course, many hoaxes or incomplete information were spread on the internet. However, slowly but surely they would be screened out by the correct ones.

What made Troy really pleased was the trait and skill that he got. After looking at his inventory, he found out that it was at least 4 or 5 times bigger than before.

"I should be able to store many more products with it. The problem is money. I don't really want to do it. However, the longer I keep it. The more I will lose. I will miss it," Troy sighed.

'Looking at the trend, more and more people will play Desolate World. At first, I and maybe most people thought it was just another fancy entertainment means. However, when the transaction of dirac was opened, many people, especially white citizens, intended to work professionally in the game.

If the trend continues, maybe all offline entertainment must enter the game or will face bankruptcy. It can't be helped,' Troy said in his heart.

Troy then tried his new skill. He thought of a simple arithmetic problem.

'4 x 5=' Then he saw the answer.

[20]

'It's too easy. Let's try the complicated one. 45 x 39=' He asked the problem. Then the answer appeared once more.

[1,755]

He didn't know if the answer was true. However, since the system that did it, he believed it was true.

'I-It is amazing!' Troy exclaimed in his heart.

"Hahaha… I am a human calculator," Troy laughed hard. Once again he became the center of attention.

Ace was jumping from one tree branch to another. He started to get used to traveling from tree to tree these three days. At first, he thought his new trait was only useful if he was falling from a height. However, he was wrong. It also gave him extraordinary balance and flexibility.

'It is already the 17th day. Where is the dragon army that Gon said? Are the dragons have another thing more important to do? Forget it. It seems tonight is the same,' He said in his heart. He stopped on a tree while looking to the West.

In front of him was the place where the dragons battled the ant army. He saw the clearing was so quiet. He couldn't find any trace of the battle.

He couldn't even find a trace of burned grass that was caused by dragon breath. He was amazed by the fact that not only animals, the plants in this world were also 'monstrous'. The speed of regeneration of most plants that he saw was too quick.

He remembered that he had picked some fruits a few days ago. However, when he saw again the tree, some fruits were dangling on the same branch of the three just some days later, although they were still small and with the speed of their growth, maybe they needed a few days to ripen again.

He then heard some movements toward his location in the West. The sounds were still pretty far, but he could catch it with his extraordinary hearing.

'Ants!' He thought. He never saw anything moved around the area except ants. So the first thing that came to his mind when hearing a sound was a moving ant.

'But, it's not right. The sound was more like steps. It is somewhat different. It seems some bipedal creatures are running. Let's check it out!' Ace thought. He then jumped down towards the clearing. After landing, he used his shoes' effect, gliding. After gliding for about a dozen meters he ran toward the sounds' source.

He didn't worry if the ants would find him. As he was confident with his senses, and he understood well how the ants usually behaved. They never stopped. They were always walking, at least outside their nest. As he never saw the ants sleeping outside.

The clearing was not too wide. Maybe only about 200 meters. After almost reaching the end of the clearing, he jumped again to a tree branch and continued his travel.

After jumping around for about 500 meters, he saw them, 4 humans were running to his direction with around 5 big ants on their tails.
